Unfortunately not; I do not have a TM style AK and cannot think of anything similar on the VFC style ones.

You can replace the brass bushing with a small nut. One of my AKs has had a nut instead of the bushing for years.

Mine didn't start out as an airsoft injury but was made a lot worse by airsoft. Last August, I partially tore my left Achilles' tendon on the first day of a week's walking on Dartmoor. After purchasing the entire supply of painkillers in Princetown's general store, I carried on walking for the next six days with only mild discomfort provided that my left boot was tightly laced (once the boot was loose it hurt quite a lot). Once I had returned home, the ankle seemed ok until one Sunday at the end of September when I over extended it playing airsoft. I spent much of the following day in A&E (I wasn't going there in my own time) and emerged with a pair of crutches, some seriously interesting painkillers and a series of physio appointments. After about two months I was able to walk properly again, although the ankle will never be 100%. I keep looking at the remaining crutch (its friend was donated to a charity shop) and wondering if it could be converted into a sniper rifle.

Too much time hanging around waiting for games to start, inconsistent marshalling, lack of communication between marshals, and poor organisation (to the point where one group of players were not aware that a game had finished until a while after the next game had started), We finally walked out part way through a day when my son was aggressively bollocked by a marshal for something that someone else had done, despite a lot of players trying to explain what had happened. I would never go back; it is a potentially very good site run by idiots.

My second eldest was down from university for the weekend, so we decided to walk on Saturday and play Airsoft on Sunday. Having had a good experience previously at Tower Airsoft, I recommended it and he agreed, so off we went on an unexpectedly misty Sunday morning. Having had a good day there with about 80 players a few weeks ago, I was a bit worried that there were only 40 of us on site. However, the day was superb. The lower number of players resulted in the play being more open, allowing us to follow our favourite approach of sneaking around and popping up where the other team do not expect us. A two legged team death match ended up with us chalking up 24 kills without being hit, which was rather fortunate in the second leg as I am not sure that we could have found our way back to our regen. The games were well thought out and well balanced, with great play from both sides; the marshalling was spot on and the attitude of players was first rate. it was the best day’s airsoft that we have had in a long time. Many thanks to all the players, the Tower Airsoft staff, the Camo team, and the marshals for an excellent day.

Excellent! That is what we want, more people prepared to splash their entire disposable income on toys :). Blue here as well, wearing CCE and toting an MPiKM (morning) and an AMD65 (afternoon).

Which team were you on? It was a good day, wasn’t it?

What do you consider a fair price for a skirmish
colinjallen replied to wicksy101's topic in General Discussion
A fair price? That is quite hard to answer as it depends on what I am hoping for and what I am getting. Today I paid £25 for a well run day on an interestingly varied bit of land, with good games and an excellent safe zone. I used about 1500 BBs (half a bottle) and spent £5 on lunch and drinks; add on travel costs and it came to about £44, which I consider pretty good value for a day's fun. At another site I play at, this goes up to about £65, which still seems pretty good value; £40 of that is the entry fee. I am wondering what you do to get it up to £70 on a typical day. -
I had a really good, if slightly muddy, day at Airsoft Plantation. Around 170-180 players turned up and the day was played in a good sporting spirit, with well designed games and excellent marshalling. Both AEGs and the CO2 1911 performed flawlessly. I got a lot of kills, including two guys who charged around a corner at me; I shot the first one and then the second one, who was already pointing his rifle at me. He looked at it and looked at me; I was expecting him to claim that I had not taken a hit, but he just said "the safety is still on" and walked away to regen. Another player apologised to me after he had shot me in the face from fairly close range; as it was all that he could see of me, I did not see it as a problem, but it was indicative of the sprit in which players seemed to approach the day.

Heavier BBs, 0.36 to 0.40, Most Cost Effective To Buy In 2022?

Yes; I don't think you can go wrong with Geoff's. -
JG S-552 - It shoots! But it doesn't quite score
colinjallen replied to RostokMcSpoons's topic in Electric Guns
I would not recommend a Gate Pico SSR at the moment; I have had two or three fail in the last few months and am aware of others who have had issues with them. The Nano mosfets seem ok though. -

What do you mean by "slowly"? Do you mean that the BBs just roll out of the barrel or that the FPS is lower than expected? If the FPS is a bit low, start off by making sure that there are no BBs in the gun, turn the gun upside down, put a small piece of paper over the feed nozzle and shoot it in semi. If the paper stays relatively still, the nozzle/hop seal is ok and the problem is inside the gearbox. If it flips up, the nozzle/hop seal needs to be sorted out.

Many cylinders only have a single port; it really does not matter how many there are. One thing is not clear from your posts; is the new cylinder causing a problem such as a power drop? I am a bit confused as to what the issue is.

I agree; there is something decidedly pleasing about the wrongness of it.
