Sadly true, to an extent.

If true, he is selling a firearm.

The lad and I spent today at Airsoft Plantation; it was my third visit and his first. It was very busy; 250 players turned up, which raised some concerns about how the site would cope with such numbers. It is a big site, but that is a lot of players! However, it worked really well; the site did not feel crowded and there was still plenty of room for flanking manoeuvres and lots of little individual combats. The games were well thought out, challenging for both sides, and interesting. Hit taking seemed pretty much spot on and the games flowed well. Credit must go to the marshals for making the day work so well and to the other players, especially the poor chap who fell in the pond and then had to go back in to rescue his rifle.

Find a technical dealer who can provide after-sales service

Indeed; he is a rather naughty chap, as well as being almost incomprehensible. -

What is a mid-to-low-end player? Are you trying to find such a technical dealer? Are you claiming to be such a technical dealer? -
Getting stuff out of Russia. Bullgear etc

Some Ukrainian guys that I know went home to fight when the invasion began; they are all still alive and doing their bit to defeat the Putinist fascists. I will not buy anything that even slightly benefits Russia until the country sorts itself out. -
You will get a variety of answers to this question. I would still go with the traditional G&G Combat Machine Raider. They are solid out of the box and easily upgradeable. Start by sticking in a ZCI 6.02mm barrel and a yellow Maple Leaf Macaron rubber with AK2M4's red Omega nub for your first upgrade. Maybe add a ZCI plastic rotary hop unit as well.

muzzle system that ignites the gas coming from airsoft gun?

Ah, give the kid a break; after all, nothing ever goes wrong on a film set, does it? 🔫 -
The lad and I toddled off to Tower Airsoft and had another good day there. As a site, it is nothing fancy, being a smallish site with a village, a bridge, a castle and a church among the trees. However, it seems to attract a good group of players (about 40 today), is well organised and really well marshalled by the Camo team, and has a great safe zone. The games were simple but engaging and I did rather enjoy taking out the same ghillie suited sniper three times over the day; the little LR300 has a surprisingly long range. We will be off to another site next weekend, before the lad returns to university for his exams and some OTC activities.

Your movie 🤣🤣🤣; yeah, sure thing. Just don't try it; you clearly don't have a clue and will probably end up in hospital. -
I am not sure that the benefits of doing all that work would outweigh the time and investment involved. While it would be fascinating in itself, would it make any difference to 99%+ of players? Try now.

It looks like the mag catch and spring have been installed incorrectly. When there is no mag in the gun the catch should not sit against the trigger guard like that.

Interesting research but the sample size is too small to be useful given the range of motors available. Which motors were used?

A Classic Army G3 CA-A3 (CA021M).

I have the T100 and it is a cracking piece of kit. The ability to charge two batteries on charger is useful. Why would you want to charge a single cell battery?

Both of them?

New player situated in the North West

Wear good boots and eyepro that you trust, take your hits, talk to other players in the safe zone and, most of all, enjoy yourself! Free advice; it is worth what it cost you. -
You can test for air leaks with just a hop rubber in place as you are checking the seal between the nozzle and the rubber.
-
Yes, that is the rotary hop unit. The feed tube is the one at the bottom through which the BB's feed up from the magazine. You don't need to take the gearbox out to remove the hop unit and barrel or to do the tests that I mentioned. Does the hop unit have an arm similar to the one circled in the photo (this is not the CA Scar chamber) or is it missing? There should be a rubber nub at the end of that arm that presses down on the hop rubber. There should also be a narrow spring on the lug on the top right of your hop chamber; this helps to push the chamber firmly against the gearbox.

If you really are certain that everything in the gearbox is ok, then it would seem that you have a truly massive air leak between the nozzle and the hop rubber; you can check this in two ways: 1. After checking there are no BBs in the hop, turn the gun upside down and place a small piece of paper covering the open end of the feed tube; if the piece of paper flips up or levitates, you have found the leak. It could be that the wrong nozzle has been fitted, that the nozzle is worn or that the hop rubber feed lips are damaged. It could also be that the nozzle is not coming forward fully, which would be a gearbox issue. 2. With the nozzle, shine a light up the feed tube and take a look down the barrel; if you can see light, see above. If the stock hop unit is the rotary one, I would not change it; it is rather good. However, consider fitting a Maple Leaf Macaron rubber and one of AK2M4's 70 shore Omega nubs. For the barrel, I would recommend one of the ZCI ones; once again, AK2M4 sells them. If you haven't already done so, fit a good quality high torque motor.

On Saturday, I ventured into the darkest depths of Croydon and to Tactical Warfare Airsoft, a site about which I had heard mixed opinions and read mixed reviews. First impressions were good; the safe zone was well set up and the staff seemed to be on the ball. Chronoing was with 0.20g BBs, but most sites still seem to do that. I bumped into a few players that I knew from other sites, so we teamed up for the day, which was cool. One concern early on was the number of young rentals; however, the vast majority of them turned out to be good players and good hit takers. It is a small site but nicely bumpy and has a good and quite large CQB area, for those who like that sort of thing. We played 6 games (3 in the village and 3 in the woods), which were well designed and fun. Hit taking was just about ok and the marshalling was at the usual level (not great but acceptable). Would I go back? Yes.

Getting back into airsoft after many years?
colinjallen replied to SussexMatt's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Find the playing style that suits you; don't feel that you have to take up a more stationary role because you are a bit older then the average. I am 59 and play twice a month, carrying an assault rifle, an SMG or an SLR and getting stuck in. I sometimes play as a two man team with my 19 year old son; we tend to be sneaky, popping up where we are not expected, flanking the opponents and getting behind them. -

I think I might have one; I will have a look tomorrow evening. -
As far as I can see, you *should* be able to reassemble the fake bolt mechanism without the missing triangular bit and *should* be able to lock the cover. However...
