Frankly mate, no. Airsoft need not be a ridiculously expensive hobby, but it costs an absolute bare minimum of about £170 starting from scratch. The way to do it on the cheap is laid out here.

Just to say, the RoI did okay with the pound following their succession from the UK, and then even better with the Punt which was pegged to the pound. It was the Euro that sent things tits up.

According to the act of Union England and Scotland are equal partners, making the pound as much Scotland's as Englands. It would be the ultimate irony to see the Bank of England deny Scotland use of the pound considering a Scotsman was one of the founders of it.

Scotland has always voted predominatly Labour, after their piss poor show post-referendum they've effectively given every seat they ever held over to the SNP.

I'll leave this arguement now as I'm sick of the superiority complexes everyone is showing. We're all humans, and all equal - what the idiots at the top say means nothing.

To para-phrase game of thrones " Power doesn't exist. It is but a shadow on the wall, and a very small man can cast a very large shadow". They only have power because we give it to them, we're governed by consent. People need to remember that, if we want revolution in the way things are done politically in this country we need to get up off our sofas, take a break from watching corrie or whatever mind numbing bollocks is on the telly and campaign or fight for what we want. Sitting on an airsoft forum ranting and raving, bickering with each other like a 13 year old girl on a facebook status serves no benefit to anyone.

An no - to anyone mentally challenged enough to think that was directed at rousing a Scottish rebellion, it was directed at everyone. We'll have to work together and get over your feeling of difference towards people on the other side of an imaginary line formed hundreds of years ago. The borders shifted a lot, Edinburgh was the capital of an English kingdom, as was Glasgow the capital of a Welsh kingdom, and also part of an Irish one. We're all of the same land, start f*cking acting like it instead of succumbing to the imaginary boundaries implaced on you by the shadows on the wall who want to maintain their power over you. The lines wouldn't exist if it wasn't for King's to show everyone else how big their manhood is by showing how far they've raped and pillaged.

Considering you haven't listened to a thing anyone has said in the thred so far I don't think people are willing to engage you anymore.

    So in summary:

Option 1) get a tm and leave it stock, run it on GG, it may or may not break, who knows? I have yet to see anything other than conjecture on the issue, the fact that the internets is not flooded with pictures of cracked slides speaks volumes in my book.

Option 2) buy a tm, mod all the things and forever have a temperamental gun that may or may not still break. Airsoft alloys are far from invincible.

Option 3) buy a WE glock and be done, the biggest difference between a we and a tm is your tallent.

    Option 4) try golf?

In all seriousness it sounds like it's working pretty well as it is, myself and many others on here have had the genius idea of tinkering with one little aspect to give that slight improvement and ended up screwing the gun up completely. It can be done, but is it really worth it?

Part of it is games I think. When I was a teenager I was absolutely in love with M4s because of counter strike. Although they are very common across all media where guns are featured. When I first got into airsoft everyone was going crazy for the SPAS 12 and I think it was partly due to it being featured in the matrix, along with stuff like the MP5k. If the hobby was bigger I think you'd see the range of guns on offer grow organically and I doubt in the scheme of things if there are many, if any manufacturers that really care what the UK market wants.

Variation is nice but I always roll my eyes when someone says they don't want an M4 like everyone else then goes and buys a G36, MP5, M14 or to a lesser extent an AK variant which are all very common. If someone wants a certain model of gun then that's the best thing to advise them on, unless the only manufacturers producing said gun are terrible. Recommending a gun on the potentially false premise that it is almost unique isn't going to do anyone any favours in most cases.

It's quite interesting how much faith is put in essentially anonymous people online pretty much across the board. For sake of argument we could all say what we want with little recourse whereas if the chap down the local shop misleads you then it's much easier to give him a good talking to(or worse if you are that way inclined lol)

Whilst smaller communities like this one more or less police themselves, whilst the product reviews sections on online stores and on larger forums it's a bit like the wild west. I've repeatedly seen people slagging off products to the point where I question if they are just parroting something they heard someone say when you own said product and know a lot of people who do also that have nothing but good things to say about it. I won't mention anything specific as I think it would potentially lead to a massive thread derailment.

Everyone who wants an independent Scotland is a Provisional or a Jacobite, just depends if you're Catholic or Protestant.

I'm joking of course, wanting to be independent doesn't make us anti English, remember Wales and Northern Ireland too? They don't seem to think we have a vendetta against them lol. We're not anti anyone, just pro-Scot.

You could get one prebuilt for less than that already. But if you did want to build your own id go with either a G&P or VFC CQBR with colt trades.

Ambi controls are more important than switching out parts that don't need changing, likely to the detriment of the gun IMO.

I have plate carrier setups that weight a lot less than the chest rigs many people run. This airsoft myth that weight is defined by equipment type needs to die.. it should've already (a long time ago). The weight and bulk of your load bearing equipment depends entirely on which rig you buy, the materials used in it, types of pouches you attach, the way those pouches are constructed and most importantly, above anything else, the equipment you put in those pouches.

Sure if you don't want anything on your back and aren't bothered about the coverage then don't get a PC, it's a few extra grams of cordura you don't need; but that picture you've used gives a rather biased impression.

If the weight of fabrics is a concern I wouldn't buy a combat shirt either. If the wearer is worried about coverage then standard PCS/BDU shirts that don't have the t-shirt material in the body are the better standard option, especially when not wearing a PC. Though either one is preferable to a hoody if you don't wanna swim in your own sweat, doubly so as the weather begins to warm up.

I think people get carried away with how good their guns are hence why it's so common to see people saying how their gun outranges 90% of people on site. As much as I love my HK416 it's accurate out to 50-55 metres(on 0.25g blasters), which is the same as what any decent AEG should be doing.

Up to you if you want to do it but changing the hop rubber and fitting a tight bore barrel made a very small difference at best. I treat it as a learning experience but outside of that I would say it was essentially a waste of money. Here is the thread I made on doing this if you are interested: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/23985-tm-hk416-barrel-and-hop-change/#entry174059

The next option is going to be looking at upping the FPS so it's closer to 350 FPS. Not that it's 100% helpful to you now but Fire Support offer an upgrade package which is both a more powerful spring and a Lonex gear set so they recommend changing both, but that package is limited to new guns:
    http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/firesupport-marui-sopmod-scar-recoil-m4-340-fps-upgrade

Personally I think it starts getting a bit messy and I would take it to someone that messes about with TMs for a living, for instance my mate has just bought a HK416 and it's due back this coming week after a few hundred quids worth of work done on it. However that's what I would do to my gun, if you are feeling adventurous then go for it - There's also a few guys on here that know a lot more about recoil shock upgrades than I do(which isn't hard) so might be worth seeing what they say too.

There's only so much you can expect from any AEG. You are flinging a plastic ball after all. The rule of diminishing returns definitely applies with AEG upgrades.
