  1. SOPMOD PMAGS: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magpul-pts-pmag-sopmod-for-marui-new-generation-m4-aeg-black.html#.VF95yvmsWeg
  2. TM mids are 82 capacity, quite a bit lower than most other brands. As for the metal bending, I've not experienced it myself and I've been using TM recoil guns for a few years now. Just don't use your mags as door wedges or bottle openers and you should be alright!
  3. Doesn't exist. Get the Pro Airsoft Supplies starter pack.
  4. Get a spring shotgun, the DE M56 is decent
  5. No need for primer if you're doing a Camo paintjob, when it starts to wear it'll just look better. If you're painting over 2-tone though I'd recommend some good auto primer; it's cheaper and more hard wearing than the krylon stuff. I buy mine from a local military equipment retailer, not sure on the cheapest place online. Patrol base and landwarriorairsoft both stock it though. Tips; Get some stencils if you want to do a camo paintjob, laundry bag mesh, leaves etc are all good. Use less paint than you think you should. Wait for each coat to dry before you start the next. Spray in short bursts from approx 12" away from the gun. Always start with the spray aiming off the gun and move it on. Using those above tips you should avoid pooling and crinkly paint, as well as spatter from a semi blocked spray can nozzle :-)
  6. get tactical optician to do it instead, will be cheaper than specsavers and he's an air softer too so he'll be able to advise on the best thing for avoiding fogging etc. http://www.tacticaloptician.co.uk Guy who runs it is called Andy, he's a top bloke and will sort you right out!
  7. G&P don't make an M27, only people that do are VFC. What you've got there is a VLTOR AR15 with a Daniel Defence RIS2 on the front end and a Magpul stock, while you could build it as a real gun... it's not really an M-anything since it's not styled after a military rifle.
  8. the problem here is asking someone to put their £400-500 smart phone in a box and let the great unwashed jab at it with their dirty little fingers. It's an expensive item to take into a skirmish considering how fragile phones are!
  9. that's pretty much the go-to setup for best performance where cost isn't really an issue. Fitting the firefly bits is a bit more complex than a normal nub/rubber combo though, the flat hop tensioner might need to be trimmed to fit the window in the barrel (sometimes they do, sometimes they don't) and when positioning the bucking you have to make sure that all 4 of the protruding 'ribs' inside the barrel are evenly spaced. There's no dark art to it, just patience and a steady hand. As for cracking the receiver open, just punch the front pin, pull the charging handle and slide the whole upper receiver off. The rear pin is a dummy.
  10. jesus, £457 for the whole setup is pretty incredible!
  11. so £457 + bottle and remote line, not bad, I'll bear it in mind. Will have to wait til after christmas though
  12. out of interest (mainly because I want to build a DMR using an HPA system at some point), how much was the whole setup minus the donor gun?
  13. sounds awesome, wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a full auto burst though, ouch!
  14. chuck it in the airing cupboard for a couple of days and try again, no need to open it up for a bit of moisture.
  15. clean the barrel once when you first buy it, carefully. After that unless you drop it in a puddle or somehow get mud inside the barrel leave it alone and it'll work for years without issue. Start pulling it to bits to 'grease the gears' etc and you'll have problems.
  16. Last time we did a night game at adrenaline we went single only, makes more sense really in the dark since overkill is really difficult to avoid when you can't clearly see who you're shooting at. Arm bands work fine at night, most people are gonna shine a torch at their target to ID before they fire anyway, glowsticks remove all potential for stealth. As for game types, not sure I can help really, last time we went we did variations on the standard day games, just with lower numbers and less light.
  17. I had a pair of that exact kind, fogged up in the safe zone before we started playing! I'm not a particularly sweaty person either.
  18. my recommendations are all from Royal Navy pilots in relatively recent years: Joint force harrier - Afghanistan, Naval Strike Wing Scram! - Falklands, commando helicopter force Armed action - Iraq, 847NAS
  19. Six of one half a dozen of the other I think, G&G make excellent gearboxes by and large, TM set themselves apart with the quality of their hop-up units and inner barrels. Their standard V2 non-blowback/recoil boxes aren't really anything to write home about, they're certainly better than JG/Cyma/dboys/other chinese dodgy brand but that's only due to excellent QC.
  20. fair enough, if you got a good deal on it then it's a damn sight better an idea than pulling your perfectly functioning G&G box apart and breaking it while learning!
  21. like Ian said, the fire hawk gearbox sounds AWFUL, that high pitched noise it's making isn't the motor. it's the gears screaming at you that they're too tight. Shim and grease it properly and I'm sure it'll not only sound nicer, but perform better too.
  22. why would you want to replace the G&G gearbox with a TM one? you're not going to get any performance increase.
  23. The law does not differentiate between private and retail sales - selling a realistic imitation firearm is illegal. The law offers a defence against prosecution for the sale of a RIF providing that the seller can prove it was sold to someone for the purposes of airsoft skirmishing. UKARA registration is pretty much air-tight when it comes to proving this, so it's the preferred method for many players and retailers.
  24. IR BBs are a no-go unfortunately, a few of us have looked extensively and no one makes them. Understandable as it'd be a pretty niche market. I've found that a decent IR illuminator backlights the BBs enough that they can be seen in flight for a bit through NVG. Much like shining a bright torch helps see where white BBs are going during the evening. Proper tracers show up really well obviously, and the 'flash' from the tracer unit if you're facing it looks cool as fuck, but the problem with tracers is that they work both ways!
  25. wouldn't worry about the green backsplash from NVGs, even without rubber seals it's very difficult for people to see from any kind of distance.
