  1. Exactly. You're not going to get a Jetboil kit on belt order without it being a major pain in the hole. A hexi stove and an ali Crusader cup is no bother.
  2. I love hexi - which is just as well because i've got so much of it anyone would think i was a prepper! I got a load of it cheap on fleabay - probably cost the bloke more to post it than i paid lol!
  3. Have you got a linky for those Prommy nubs, PT? I dunno what they look like...
  4. Indy bag well cheap on fleabay - only 4hrs so pull yer finger out!
  5. Want a nice AK-74? If I hadn't already sunk a fair bit of time, money, and effort into my CM.048, I'd be buying one of these when I have funds in a couple of days...
  6. Sounds like my patent PLCE Brew Kit will be required again...
  7. I prefer the look of the steel folding stock. With the wood it looks like one of those narsty Italian prototype ripoffs of Czech prototypes that you find in books about the development of automatic weapons
  8. The thing to understand, NH Shooter, is that a UKARA registration is not a licence. You do not have to have it in order to legally own an RIF. It is simply a database which allows retailers to check that they are not committing an offence by selling to you.
  9. 45mm would be the diameter, 141-148mm circumference.
  10. ^^That's for carrying stuff in when you return from abroad. It's different for stuff which is posted to you.
  11. If I go I'll be camping. It's way too far for me to travel the morning before expecting to skirmish.
  12. Does anyone know about the actual diameters of the various widths of inner tubes available? I just measured my USP grip and it goes from 141 to 148mm, so the maximum diameter if it's going to be tight all the way up would be approx 45mm, which sounds about right for a mountain bike wheel, but I dunno...?
  13. That's a proper good idea. You could use a welded D-ring as the fitting doing it that way too, so it'd be smooth and not damage the rubber through wear.
  14. I think I'm going to buy a bakelite effect grip because it will be a right pain trying to get the effect with diluted cheapo wood varnish (which is the effect on the mag).
  15. Yeah I'm pleased with it in the main. There's a couple of bits that need a touch up, which is a ball ache because the method... I used a homebrew mix of acetone and dichloromethane on 0000 steel wool to strip it and prep the surface, but some bits needed a bit of fine sand paper to get the surface porous enough to accept the water based stain, particularly the gas tube cover. The stain itself is called Van Dyke crystals - apparently it's made from burnt walnut shells and it's well cheap. You can mix it in hot water but I just put a bit more volume of water to crystals in a tray and left it overnight to dissolve, because I knew I wanted it very dark. I used a 5mm paintbrush to put it on with a bit of irregularity and blend and Humbrol satin varnish spray. In needs another couple of layers of varnish to finish it properly, but as I say there's a couple of bits that need a redo... I was just putting it back together after changing the inner barrel to the new Falcon 6.03x455mm that arrived this am and... the fucking MOSFET burnt out! ARSEHOLE! It's definitely not my fault though - I've gone over the wiring with a magnifying glass and there's no break in the insulation so I've fired off an email to the supplier V^^Vgrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  16. Morena Before & Afters... And a couple that show her new colours better:
  17. I've had 2 lots of steel L1A1 mags sent direct from Ares and a replacement fire selector lever and all got through without being hit for VAT. I forget what they wrote on the customs declarations though.
  18. Still, if you buy anything from Justbolloxguns after being a member here for a while, you deserve whatever POS they send you.
  19. My USP cost £35 18 months ago and it's still going strong. In fact 'strong' is the word: it's a fucking beast - too hot for a lot of sites, 1st shot around 370FPS and drops down to about 355 in 5 quick successive shots. Palco Firepower CO2 Raider. Once you adjust the front sight it's accurate too.
  20. KGB Captain Summer Afganka - insignia all present and correct Man bag: Soviet respirator bag... more Babylon AD than Book Of Eli, but uber coolsies and at a fiver you can't go wrong.
  21. Yeah there is no Makarov that is good for the UK as is. The trouble is that if you do the mods to bring the power down, you've got a useless lump cos none of them have hop up - at all, not even fixed That KWA TT33 looks nice, but I seem to remember reading that it has issues somewhere or other - you know what my memory's like though, eh? Can't remember where If it stays at that price for a while I might get one though / my Soviet loadouts are missing a pistol...
  22. The threshold for VAT is quite low - something like £12.50 iirc so yeah £42 is enough You wont definitely get hit for it though. As a rough estimate, about 1 in 7 of parcels sent to me from HK or mainland China get picked up by UK Customs. Airsoft items may well be supposed to accrue Duty but HK retailers put "Toy Parts" or "Model Parts" on the declaration and some also tick the "Gift" box.
  23. ^^Yeah, that's what I thought about NitroMors too - you have to prime metal to get paint to stick to it after the strip. Re: repainting - less is more you're better off holding the spray can further away and letting very thin layers settle onto whatever you paint, then shifting the object to get to all the surfaces, rather than spraying it into every angle from close up, otherwise you'll get drips.
  24. The handling fee can be as low as £8 but I'm pretty sure I've had to pay £18-ish for a pistol. You should only have to pay VAT of 20% - there is no Duty on toys. You only pay it on the value of the item, not the shipping.
