ButcherBill got a reaction from Egon_247 in Postage packaging questions...
I've bought 'one or two' from the classifieds & the one's that aren't in original boxes are generally in adapted boxes whether it's a random amazon box or a couple of boxes taped together, only ever had one issue where the seller really didn't wrap or pad the box for posting & the pew rattled about so much it had fallen out (presumably at a posties feet to the call of WTF???). Whatever you use just make sure it's secure.

ButcherBill reacted to MistakenMexican in Where did your forum name originate?
When I was at university, my housemates girlfriend used to visit on Tuesdays.
For bit of fun, I used to do Taco Tuesdays for the house.
As she only ever saw me cook Tacos… She assumed I was Mexican…

Currently those cases are on offer for £52 which means they’re about £67 after taxes are added. Which is a great price 😁
just consider, IF they were to sell them at full price for £90 (plus taxes), there’s a British shop that sells pre-cut pistol hard cases for £85.
The case shop do MAX cases with pre cut foam for £85 and I think shipping is free (?) at least it was when I bought one

Not much airsoft related news or purchases from me lately but here's some more plastic, glue & paint.

Recently found some love for M81 woodland and mixed it with some tiger stripe
Also was unaware my mate and I were getting our pictures taken, or I’d have sucked it in a bit 😂

I had a custom made front placard made with 4x mag slots for MP5 Mags / Works with MP7 Mags as well. Used a company called Mission Tailors, matched the OD colour to the Warrior Assault OD as well as ensuring this worked with the WAS RPC Rig. More than happy with how it turned out

So uhhhh... I don't even have an MTW...
... yet.
Had stock notifications for a bunch of these parts and I think Empire Airsoft must've had a restock come in because I managed to get everything I wanted apart from the extended blue nub. This, combined with the fact that Wolverine now offer an MTW 308 Unleashed that comes with the Wraith X pre-installed as well as the battery grip for a lower price than the sum of their parts, means that the MTW 308 has shot up the list to the point where I'll probably pick it up end of the month. The real-steel externals can wait until next month, but with all the internal parts I wanted to experiment around with now acquired, I want to build this thing.
(Stalker nubs are for the SRS as that was having issues hopping heavy ammo last Sunday, so more nubs to experiment with, as well as more rubbers that I have dug out of my parts box)

Bought this in "military green", hopefully I can test it before the upcoming national finals, it'll replace the Tasmanian Tiger Essential..

A little*too* well, in fact!
With an M95 in, and the 500mm XT barrel it was putting out 1.22J
Luckily this version has a quick change gearbox so with a little rummage through my bag o'springs™ it's now a satisfying 1.1J.

Ok well I got around to trying out the Marui hop unit, along with an XT barrel and everything seems to be running very well.
No misfeeds, drops in power or anything so far so fingers crossed, it all seems to be solved! 😃

Admin, this add just doesn't feel right.
My apologies to the seller if I'm mistaken.

Could be a newbie. Bought it, didn't enjoy the sport, trying to get rid.

ButcherBill reacted to Rogerborg in Best motor for my ARP-9
That needs qualified. Guns will run hotter on 11.1V lipo than on 7.4V lipo or 9.6V life. However, when it comes to battery C ratings, higher is always better - the battery won't supply more current than the motor wants to draw.
And the ARP 9 2.0 recommends 11.1V, so it shouldn't be an issue. We'll need to know more about what "motor overheating issues" actually means, and the use being made of it. Running it like a support gun, or constant semi-auto trigger spamming will put heat in the motor. What are the symptoms we're talking about here?

Thought I may share. There is a great price on both AliExpress and Amazon for pre-cut form hard cases for various pistol and magazine storage.
This air-tight surplus .50 container and pre-cut pistol magazine foam all together came to £15.
