  1. You're thinking of the 'milsim' parts of instagram, not this place.
  2. Well it's nothing magic, that extra recoil spring is shortening the travel of the bolt a fair bit and also offering less dampening than the stock spring; doing that will have exactly the described effects. I'll look that up though cheers.
  3. Probably get myself a gas Masada/ACR at some point, be interested to hear how that kit works out.
  4. Did you get the first link wrong? That's going to a clone scope on ebay that's new and (obviously) cheaper than the Vortex on PB.
  5. Took about 6 months for this to actually arrive.
  6. As a belt? Just... no. That belt pictured is already waaaaaay too tall for a sub load, you should be look at 3 rows of PALS max (ideally 2 total, comprising 0.5-1-0.5) with minimal extra fluff materialabove and below the webbing.
  7. The stuff we get issued is mediocre quality and a lot of it is straight bad for airsoft, certainly Osprey. PCS and CS95 are good value for the money since they come so cheap; the fabrics and stitching are at least on par with Emerson/TMC etc etc (if not better and definitely less of a gamble) and it's usually cheaper, you just don't get as many features (which for most people go unused). Literally any surplus you can think of will be on ebay for not much money.
  8. Ah, no worries, couldn't remember if there was some other non-standard usage.
  9. To maybe save putting up 40 ad listings if the mods don't mind, I've got all kinds of gear/bits to shift - https://flic.kr/s/aHsjPXJkHw - From old and basic that I need to get gone cheap to some more fancy/RS stuff.  Sizes are all pictured if anyone wants prices just pm me.

Putting up one advert in Gear for Sale is fine but forum rules are that all sales must have a price. To be fair to other members you would need to list prices for all items. Sending you a PM for ask for prices sets a bad precedent.

I’m on mobile, always, and I see the status updates immediately. (Don’t know why, but browser always takes me to bottom of page when it opens)

I never see status updates on mobile, using Chrome on Android. (both latest utd versions)

  10. Think I'm about done with AOR stuff, definitely gonna get more Spiritus and Ferro in future though. If anyone ever wants to know what anything is then ask away.
  11. I know a lot of folks want a certain look, but that'll end up costing about £160-70 when it gets here. You can go on Brownells UK and buy some reallly decent RS AR forends for less money than that; ALG Defense in particular are Geissele quality, but there's YHM and Remington on there for sub 170 too. Or for just a couple of notes more you can can get some excellent Midwest Industries freefloats which will be immeasurably better quality than madbull. Probably no more involved of a process to get fitted to any given airsoft gun either in the grand scheme of things, taking all factors in to account.
  12. Looks simple, effective and value for money. Almost as if someone read advice on here and actually listened to it, but that never happens.
  13. Done well there I've not seen any N-Cam G3s for sale in any size or for any price for a good while.
  14. I care far more about shit I'll have to pay to replace myself vs issue stuff I'll get replaced for free, no doubt. In theory I should just wear mtp for airsoft and get free replacements, but I'm not smart enough for that.
  15. Don't suppose these remedy the wobbliness of the selectors at all? Brilliant gun otherwise but those just ruin the feel of it for me.
  16. They do make an M-LOK piece that's just a metal look so anything can snap on, that's my preferred option I have to say personally. I appreciate some folks like QDs though.
  17. Well I'm an armourer and a camo collector, I occasionally skirmish as an aside but the collecting is my 'thing'. £30 worth of ex surplus uniform is mooore than sufficient to play airsoft comfortably in most conditions, been saying that to folks for many years. However I got in to this lark in 2003 and it started as just playing the game, but I found (after a while) that what I personally enjoyed much more than the game was collecting and subsequent photography, writing, reviewing and reading/learning about how different kinds of gear are made; then how they might apply to the military and to all sorts of outdoorsy type hobbies. I think airsoft is a great lark as a game and a social, but I don't buy gear 'for' the game anymore, haven't for a long time. I don't wanna go in to my life or my finances because that'd be weird, but I've got a fair few years service done, lived in the barrack block the whole time in a teeny room eating the mess food. I've been to a couple of places to accrue a few bonuses as well, then just done a lot of saving my whole career, never owned a flash car etc. That's my approach to stuff, and I like it, I'm making roads towards maybe working for a company who makes good kit for the forces one day once I'm out, so I can put what I know in to something that could hopefully benefit folks who really put their necks out in bad places. That's a little way off still, for now I just love collecting what more can I say.
  18. Few bits of Crye stuff (regular and softshell), Patagonia knee pads and a Geissele rail. Oh and a patch.
  19. How so? They had good stuff on display at SHOT that I have considered, but I don't want to buy things from a company who treats customers like crap.
  20. Got some bits and pieces in for reviews and some swag to give out to the lads in work.
  21. This from a retailer or classifieds somewhere? I'm looking around at custom TM G17s at the moment trying to find retailers/techs who do good work in that field.
  22. Where have you been looking? There's tons inbetween if you want actual multicam for a whole bucket less money than Crye. I do often tell people to get MTP anyway when I get asked because you can't beat it really in terms of maximum value for the money. However I know personally I've reviewed and written about lots of options in the middle that are pretty well priced and come in real multicam fabric for those who specifically want that for whatever reason. Leo kolher's good, tru-spec, sometimes 5.11 and there's a few others. As with a anything if you've not dug in to ebay/forum classifieds/FB groups for other gear you'll miss out. Cryes get sold for well under half retail all over the place; which is still a lot obviously but again a much better price than retail. Purely as examples I've got a couple of MC items listed for sale myself right now and they might not be your size but if you look at the prices you'll see what you can get if you just take the time to look around (saying this to anyone reading the thread btw, not just yourself).
  23. Get me ice cream because I'm jelly.
