  1. ALLLL that room inside the big fat German clockwork box for any gearbox and tons of battery storage... Nice to see it done but this is one of the worst possible ways to bring it to reality.
  2. Ah, my kingdom for a new G&P M16A1..

If it was close to the new one I want then I'd go for it but when I see externals that have been molested that much... oof no..

Did think that my self but one never knows ?

  3. And it'll be made of zamac, unlike the PTS version. Personally those aren't the factors I'd prioritise but if you do want small aesthetic details primarily over durability then that's understandable in this game.
  4. Er.. nope, didn't. I'm still on the fence admittedly because the VFC that's around looks great and the closest competitors are the G&G SR25 and TM SCAR but I can't find a sub 16" SR25 nor do I massively want what is now the 'old' model of SCAR, but 417 mags won't agree with my load carrying kit very well either and I cannot personally get along with quad rails on AR derivatives with my little girl hands. Also not sure on compatibility of RS handguards with the VFC and given the gas system they'll still be super fat even if they do fit. There's no perfect option but I usually spend a year or two making decisions like this tbh.
  5. Just running through my options but let's see if I've missed anything. Has to be: -Realistic representation of some actual firearm -Good externals, can always get the insides done -Not fussed on budget -No 417s or anything else with ultra wide mags I've also dismissed M14s because I don't love the looks or the mags. Current considerations are: -TM SCAR H -LCT G3 -G&G SR25 Chime off.
  6. This is a fully personal thing, but you might want to maybe look at Magpul, BCM, B5, Reptilia, DD, Ergo, just a military M16A1 pistol grip or.. maybe anything else at all before FAB. Their stuff looks like it was designed by a child for nerf blasters or a supersoaker; though obviously if you want that civvie aesthetic vs a military type rifle then hey have at it.
  7. Well thanks mate, glad you do. I spoke to the owner of Tactical-Kit a few days ago and he is interested so if things go to plan it'll be easy enough to get here. I may be shooting myself in the foot here, but the hub actually does have a lot in the way of functionality, it's designed to be the most modular placard ever to come to market and all that stuff is covered/being covered on the social media. However if you literally just want to clip it to any PC or harness, stick in your mag insert and go you can 100% do that and you will not get any trouble at all from the extra options that are built in. Until you know about them or want to use them you probably won't even know they're there given the way it's designed. The down side to that is I'm going to have to produce a LOT of short educational posts/videos on all the ways to set the thing up, but hopefully it'll lead to more interest since a very large amount of folks out there probably already have kit that can mesh with it.
  8. Yeah I spoke to the owner today in SHOT and top guy, but the female 1" split bar should come with the PC so people can use other placards, it's what everyone else I know of does if their system is buckles vs g hooks lol. I think it's down to the company being new to this era of kit and they've not quite realised how much else is out there and the fact people will wanna use other compatible brands, at least I hope so.
  9. I'll be going with green but thanks mate. I think they're intending for people to use G Hooks, did you source some 1" buckles alright?
  10. Nice, I'll be getting one somehow or other soon as they put out the skins in plain RG. One of the best ever bits of modern kit to be born in the UK.
  11. You genuinely cannot beat a super authentic backdrop to complete a loadout pic.
  12. Apologies to those who saw my other thread, but I'm pretty proud of my placard/micro rig I've designed so I'm gonna show it in here too tbh! Won't up sell too hard here, feel free to look up @f9gear_ on IG (or FB) if you're in to kit and would like to know more. Or even if you just want to follow the story of an airsofter selling gucci gear to Americans (hopefully).
  13. Truly shameless self promotion alert - also aimed very much at the military so forewarning if you're not in to kit that's way OTT for airsoft. If I may I'd like to present the Ammo Hub A1, a supremely modular placard that at the core level is designed to be the foundational basis for carrying your primary mags either on the front of a PC or built up to a chest rig. I get that from the picture that it really doesn't look like much, but please believe me when I say the design is done in such a way that there are 10s of thousands of potential setups you can build and the aftermarket integration features of the placard are done such that the interfaces are super sleek and tucked away - mostly they comprise of slots and various velcro areas. It takes any mag insert with hook velcro on both sides like Spiritus and HSP so it'll work for ARs, AKs and all SMGs just like the other micro rigs many of you will be familiar with. I'm not currently aware of a PC with placard integration on the front that this cannot attach to. It can take different top and side attachment buckle options as well as any PALS pouches on the front, sides and base and Tubes compatible dangler pouches/sub loads. It can be stacked on top of itself or mounted side by side with itself if you buy 2 and want that capacity and capability. Any back strap or harness that uses industry standard 1" buckles can be attached but the side attachment loops can be tucked away entirely when used on a PC. If you have a cummerbund that includes FS Tubes it can clip in directly to the placard rather than the front plate bag for maximum security (extra Tubes purchase req'd); but if that doesn't apply for your PC there's also a way to strap the bottom of the placard to the bottom of the plate bag. Because of its' size it can be slightly curved even with 3 AR mags stored and it will stick to your PC/chest rig base better than most other similar products. The Ammo Hub is very very light and kept slim by the use of FirstSpear's specific 6/12 cordura/loop velcro laminate fabric while still being made to meet or exceed the specs required for military applications in terms of strength and durability of both materials and stitching. The hub is shown here mounted to the front of an FS Plate Carrier with 3 EMAGs stowed inside: The first small batch will only be in MC and will available around late feb/early march. There's are no 2 ways about it though, it will be expensive. You're looking at something roughly in the region of $60-70 (exact details TBC) for the basic setup with just top attachment buckles and you'll then need an insert of your choosing to retain mags, but I'd imagine a lot of interested folks will already own compatible ones. At least at first they'll only be available from FS in the states but of course I'll work with shops like Tactical-Kit to bring it to the UK if the desire is there and the opportunity arises. If there's desire in the market then more colours will be shortly forthcoming and I have lots of ideas for my own harnesses/back straps and expander wings etc to compliment the wide variety already available out there that are compatible from the likes of Ferro, Spiritus and Haley. NB - There is actually room for 5 x SMG mags like MP5 and ARP9. I'll be gradually talking about and showing all the many features in depth and close up over the coming weeks on my business IG/FB page so feel free to follow if you'd like to know more: https://www.instagram.com/f9gear_/ https://www.facebook.com/F9-Gear-105213495349920

  15. The impressionist crowd are the male-dominant version of the fashion/celebrity gossip industry; bitchy as fuck. I've got a couple of mates to who I said 'be careful down that path idiots on instagram will bitch at you for your socks being slightly too light green' and that's exactly the sort of thing that happened/happens. If you genuinely want to try and recreate UK armed police loadouts from a certain region's police force during a certain period, you're probably gonna need to get in to a niche group on facebook and buckle up for some insane nit picking and stitch counting. The LEAF stuff isn't the standard issue anymore for any regional firearms teams or at least less of them than it was, afaik. Various armed units have worn various PCs including Ferro slicksters and different models from C2R Fast; and probably a load more I don't know of as well.
  16. My stock TM recoils all chrono about 270 with 0.2s with the hop on, afaik that's the standard. 0.3 at 280 is already right on the bleeding edge of the legal limit - 1.09J. 1.07J will be 340 with a 0.2g so basically the same power and still only just within the legal limit.
  17. Not only are almost all metal airsoft guns made of shit metals, the surfaces finishes are generally really shit paints and from what I've seen over the years that seems to apply even more so to the pistols than the rifles. Actual kydex is nails as plastics go and it'll eat airsoft grade paints all day, especially those used on anything Nuprol rebrands and all the other super common metal guns out there. You can also damage TM plastic if you've got a tight kydex holster, but it'd have to be mega tight and abrasive to do anything more than aesthetic wear (and you'd have to do a shit ton of draws).
  18. You gotta pick one of the two man. I have an E2 that I bring up at every opportunity. Been bone stock for bloody years and it just works, and works.. and works. Any weather, zero maintenance, shoots straight and far, an absolute no brainer go-to that I never ever have to worry about because when I pull the trigger it goes pop; frankly an awesome primary in close CQB. Personally I'd strongly recommend a different 226 if you want metal so you always have this dependable workhorse at your side, I'll bet any money you will massively appreciate having it in your collection always ready to go when others might let you down (depending what else you have obviously).

  21. Apologies for the solicitation, but the right eyes are in here. If any of you are certain of your abilities I'm looking to pay somebody to make or modify some mag innards to fit an HK steel 20 for use in a regular AR AEG or TM recoil M4 (minus bolt stop feature); please DM me if you'd like the job.
  22. Krylon brown is dark indeed, I've used a fair bit, generally as a base so it's fairly covered over. Coyote is the way to go that is a fact but, yeah.. I've got various other plans in mind already and a huge array lot of options to weigh up, my mind isn't set on the AR by any means, I love them but I've got plenty of those. Currently got other projects to finish that have been ongoing for years on account of a lot of trying to make RS parts fit to RIFs that often haven't been done before and a similar story with battery storage - always requires a lot of skilled airsoft specific mill and lathe work etc and my man I trust for that has a long wait list. I don't know if you mean weather as in artificially but I never do that myself, I degrease, spray then just use (nothing against people doing the artificial route). If the gun in question ever sees enough games over many years such that the paint job starts to be missing in large areas I'll literally just spend 10-15 minutes to whack a bit more on.
