  1. That's how a good proportion of airsoft stuff is done; guns, lasers etc. MP7s are one of the rarest HK mass-production guns in the US as well. Far as I can gather from looking around and shooting one once, unless you've got a super good long-term relationship with a very rich and well connected firearms dealer that's well established they're not easy to find, I'd be tentative on whether the handful of rental ranges that have them would just let some foreigners have at one with measuring devices. I mean maybe for enough $ but hard to say, that info would be ITAR so I think they'd be taking a very serious legal risk if they allowed it.
  2. Depends if you're damn sure you're going to keep it. Painted guns are generally the less common sight on the field because, as with any item, it dings the resale value and a lot of people are just too afraid to make the leap/commitment. A camo gun vs a big block of black certainly doesn't hurt your chances of being seen in the bushes at a decent distance that's a fact.
  3. October to April purchases minus some HK bits and the Brit Tac belt. Hope you folks like squinting at slightly different greenish digital camos...
  4. Given the price of parts individually vs in a whole gun I'd consider saving up enough to eventually buy a whole TM pistol; that's not even factoring in the propensity for various different brand bits to often not get along vs the high reliability probability of a simple factory build.
  5. If you could tolerate some side PALS the minimo is the way to go and will work great as it comes, but if you really don't want the side then an option is the Ferro Chesty Mini plus two of the female parts from these sets (either will work): https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/itw-1-repair-buckle-6199-p.asp https://www.contactleft.co.uk/all-products/1-25mm-itw-qasm-quick-attach-buckle-coyote-brown.html
  6. Nothing to apologise about mate lol, but if there's 2 people in just this small thread it's probably common and a design flaw; someone else will now say they don't have it but I'd bet this issue will show up a lot as the guns get more prevalent and get used over the next year or so. That's airsoft, unfortunately it's a niche tinkerers' hobby, and sure you have the same consumer rights as with anything, but you'd just waste your own time getting repeated returns quite likely. Sometimes you've gotta bite the bullet in this game.
  7. Not to be funny but what would another one achieve? It's the design. For now all I can do is press the mag catch lever as the mag is going in, if it's as common as I suspect an update or aftermarket fix will come.
  8. Had the same, not sure what to do about it though.
  9. As I said, do whatever you fancy, that's my default stance. I've used hip mounted in airsoft since getting over the bad old days of blackhawk SERPA drop-legs and used slight-drop (S loop) on deployments because that's all I could do with the issued radar holster and what was available to me; wasn't great when running for cover by comparison and personally I didn't like it when working in/on/around planes/helis and sat in cars. My personal experience doesn't invalidate anyone else's, there just isn't only one way. Personally I just keep the area above the holster clear for the bbwrz, obviously some people don't want to run their rig that way and it's all good fine in fake combat.
  10. Compared to older belts that use webbing for the PALS yes true, but anything that uses webbing is thicker than Tegris/Paua/Curv; not that the classic style isn't good, it is. You can always put any belt-mounted pouch anywhere on all the styles though, that's pouch type dependant rather than belt type. I wouldn't go quite that far tbh, it's good and works but I think it's been a bit overblown by famous YouTubers doing it when plenty of military and basically all the best competition shooters use straight hip/belt mount. If you need to clear stuff on a chest rig or PC, have really long arms or just prefer it then sure go a bit lower, but hip mount simply requires less energy to move/restricts the leg less. Not knocking either way but there's no 1 method to rule them all.
  11. Having tried a fair few, I picked up one of the Flimmuur/Brit Tac options recently and I think it's possibly the best one on the planet yet it's in the lower end of the pricey options. The Tegris/Tegris-type options are the way of the future and it's a real unicorn that such a product is actually made and easily obtainable in the UK, with more regular stock than Tactical-Kit can bring in r.e. American products.
  12. It's not a 'field bag' it's a respirator haversack, hence the training combopen, CBRN inner gloves and resi cleaning cloth.
  13. You can do steel 762x39 mags feed lips down in my placard which I don't believe is possible with the Spiritus Mk5 (still need to try it myself), but it needs a harness, back strap and insert; then pistol pouches as per OP. That'll easily break £200 if it's all quality real gear bought retail though. The HSP D3CR-M (or X as previously mentioned) or Mayflower Mk4 ticks the boxes here, would have to be replicas thereof though to fit the budget. Or any plain PALS rig plus TACOs or big double AR mag pouches ofc.
  14. Previous incarnation of my MC chest rig for simple average sunday games.
  15. How was it? I really want to do some for TM but I really hate 'file a bit.. still doesn't fit.. file a bit more'.
  16. Only 3 places to grip it up front? You gotta pump up those numbers. jk, some sci-fi prop house would definitely rip that off soon as they saw it.
  17. It's the SP5 release that's caused it, nobody really wanted MP5 stocks and handguards a few years ago because there was a gap of something (very very roughly) like 20 years between HK importing civvie MP5s to the states. The SP5 started selling around start 2020 and of course there was the SP5k before that that some people converted. There were other clones inbetween of course, largely Turkish, but obviously once the real German stuff was announced it brought back an enormous wave of popularity and all the old parts from the 80s dried up; and HK isn't making much quantity of accessories these days. Captain skinny jeans is responsible for a good bit of the hype too.
  18. lol, those fuckers. I got a HK collapsing stock for a fraction of the price they scalp so they're on my no-business list unfortunately, I'll just go with a VFC if needs be. I'm confident I'll eventually find a real one on a terribly made old website or dusty surplus store for sub £50 or so.
  19. I was assuming it was the small red dot they already make, just a specific mount. Other than that yeah, claw mount and sorta old school mag clamp of some kind but not a replica of the stamped metal HK ones I've seen. If anyone has a RS solid stock or knows a good source that has stock please do let me know.
  20. I can't actually remember if the 115 has a code but realistically it must do, though I'm not sure you can really get an airsoft replica. LDS has one as well, same style as on SUSATs.
  21. A chinese clone laser has probably less chance of holding zero on a GBB than a chinese clone red dot, assuming that laser actually can be adjusted in the first place? Not that you need an aiming device at the airsoft combat distances where you'll easily be able to see where the laser is landing; ignoring the fact it's generally a poor aiming method and on top of that highlights your own position. There's a reason the best professionals don't use vis lasers compared to IR or optics - and since people don't like that analogy, also look at the speedsofters, paintballers etc. Not a dig at all, just saying how it is. Unless your MBUS clone is super bad and not vaguely close dimensionally to the real thing, there's no reason it won't work with your current front sight. They're both standard M16 mil spec height, designed to work together.
  22. Acquisitions through the middle of last year. Haven't written a list in a long time, but I'll make it optional viewing:
  23. Probably look for less features the cheaper gun the gun is, not more (if you want the thing to actually work).
