I've owned this many years but I don't recall ever actually using it, seems 99% immaculate. Cummerbund is the FirstSpear retrofit, old type they don't make anymore with spacer mesh inside and bungee cord at the back. Plate bags were custom by Dead Coyote Tactical Nylon using all mil-spec materials; 500D cordura, proper webbing and bonded nylon thread thread. Mounts all the common placards with either 1" buckles or g-hooks. Includes 6/12 attachment pistol and speed reload AR pouches for the cummerbund. I can also include a perfectly matching PALS placard with or without 3 x TACOs at extra cost if desired. Price is all in for the UK, will post anywhere for a bit extra. Entirely open to offers and just message any questions. No trades or splitting other than the pouches and placard.

  2. People really must vote with their wallets on these events, I've never heard of one going remotely well. Maybe some years ago I missed one, but I'm pretty sure for the past few years they've been both really terrible and expensive? I only had that once myself (the mythical blue fox 2) and it made me extremely wary I'd have to say. There's zero chance I'll put my faith in any organiser without a track record of both decent length and solid quality. Granted my feasible opportunities to attend multi-day events are probably a lot rarer than some so I'm extremely cautious, but even if the time and effort were immaterial (which they really aren't), when you're paying something like £80-150 just for the entry let alone fuel and supplies, the experience simply can't be an unpleasant mess.
  3. Will be a very stiff type of foam, but if you get some generic stuff online and cut it just a hair on the large side for the PC, then once you squash them in there you'll have more than enough rigidity for airsoft but it's flexible enough that it bends if you really need it to.
  4. Some 1-1.25" foam from ebay, cut to the shape of the plate bags, done, works great. Off the top of my head the -S is SAPI small and I think PTS do Smalls in their foam plates if you want a pre-made solution, or generally anything foam or hollow plastic that's a small - though I'd stick to foam as sometimes if a plate of any solid material is a little too tall you can have exposed hook velcro on the inside that'll eat your shirts (though I don't own an LBX PC, but that's common).
  5. Thanks for the @ I think you're on the right track but you can save on bulk/storage space and probably money even further if you cut out the panel and just have a placard with inserts for whichever type of mags you're running with. Myself, for a good while I was building a collection of PALS placards in different colours with different types of pouches on them to just tear'n'swap between mag types, then I saw the light and just got rid of almost all of those for 1 placard per colour and 1 set of inserts that can cover all of them. Definitely saved me money and a lot of storage capacity. No way I can't sound like I'm self shilling right now, but my placard was specifically designed from day 1 to fit 3 x soviet steel 762 AK mags with the feed lips facing down, which to my knowledge are the biggest, fattest 30rnd AK mags going and there's still a little bit of extra room. I own a Mk5 and it's awesome, brilliant construction, but Spiritus aren't fussed about catering to AKs really. I think the 5 works with 545 mags going bullets down and just about with 762 plastic mags bullets up, but I never see it regularly done because there's just better options out there. It isn't really wide enough for 762 mags (especially with the back rib) and going bullets down in the normal way. Might not matter if you're rocking hi-caps, but if you want 3 mags then I'd look at a placard other than the Mk5. If you go for anything like the Minimo, Spiritus Thing 2 or Ferro Chesty wide I'd have to say also that velcro adhesion is quite important in my experience, as I always found the edges would peel on my Chestys and once the peeling starts and you run it can propagate. The Mk5 is a brilliant laminate which will last even your grandkids, but because it's thick and so structured it won't really curve to your chest where the Ammo Hub will, possibly also the Ferro DOPE though I don't own one.
  6. Can't remember exactly when I bought this gun originally before embarking on my external mods, I think it's pushing 9 years or so. Being a very very run-of-the-mill V2 AEG AR I didn't think he'd record it but there we go. No I didn't do any work to the insides myself nor did I know what was in there, I never look inside my guns 😂
  7. I watched for something like a year-ish and decided to drop in 3 AR AEGs for him to upgrade. Far as I can tell his bread and butter is internals and specifically AR/M4/M16 family V2 AEGs and I own a good few from the days before anything decent came with a mosfet. I've done them up externally long ago to how I wanted them but I'm just not interested in AEG internals, so it seemed to make sense and he's not too far from me. Only slight downside is I'm in a rather unpredictable line of work (especially this week) and once he starts working on whatever RIF you've given him he'll be sending quite a lot of messages/short videos and asking questions etc through the process, and right now I don't actually know when I'll have the free time to be able to get on my phone at any given moment. If your schedule is more consistent though it's a pretty big upside really, you can give feedback and make budget decisions as the work's being done. Whether his way of upgrading AEGs is 'the' very bestest way... meh, I don't think there is one. Airsoft is a cottage industry, it's simply not big enough of a business such that there are universally proven best ways to squeeze out the best reliability/performance and tolerances are all over the shop with these cheap parts. What these guns are not is F1 cars or military jets where people with doctorates are 3D modelling airflows around every component, weighing every milligram and timing every system to 1/100000th of a second because people's lives and £billions are hanging in the balance etc etc. Arguing on the internet about filing gears and X69 vs Y96 hop rubber is stupid.
  8. I dunno how many SUSATs I've handled, lost count long ago, but that much paint missing is certainly possible. If it was scuffed up before getting to theatre then used for months on that arid, gravelly terrain.. yeah.
  9. I wanted a PC in US woodland for yeeears but none on the market quite did what I wanted, so even though it's not setup yet I'm gonna have to post the SHAW because I bloody love it tbh, lol.

I wouldn't say squeeze exactly they made untold millions from kids buying skins in WZ1 haha. You might be right on the pass, but then again they'd get a *lot* of new pass subscribers if it was included.. we shall see, could go either way. For me the SP got worse and worse each time through the original modern warfare trilogy, and the old and bitter part of me thinks they'll make the same mistakes again. Possibly forget about the super popular but slow CQB and child insurgent levels from MW2019 in favour of absurd, un-immersive enormous action pieces that only appeal to 13 year-olds. Fingers crossed though.

There's rumour it'll be on the microsoft game pass and I haven't used my free trial for that yet, so maybe. I'd bet Warzone 2 will be free so I'm definitely not buying it at CoD prices just for the single player or regular MP.
  12. Usually when I get a notification of a quote I think 'oh no, here we go' when I've said anything that could vaguely be construed as overly negative (while objectively true) about the worse end of the chyna stuff. Glad my memory wasn't at fault on that one. I think I also had some OPS Kryptek at the time, along with some Platatac and Kryptek company. Have since changed round a few items but the Plat and OPS were probably the best ever made in the patterns. I'd take Mandrake as much of a meme camo as it is over nov's latest wringing out of airsoft noobies to buy himself a bigger house.
  13. The palette is fine for a modern pattern, but you're definitely on one if you think the Notritsch company can magically make a better camouflage than Pencott or Concamo etc. Combine that with their well known and documented track record of very poor customer service... I've browsed the site a couple of times, had no idea the product range was actually so large. What actually happened of course is they were working with Templars Gear in some form or another, took the designs and ran off with them to factories in China, probably not the ones that treat workers maybe half way acceptably either I'd wager. I don't know if anyone else remembers, but when Kryptek was in its' heyday many years ago TMC et al made knock off G3 sets in approximations of Mandrake, Highlander and Typhon and they sold like hot cakes for a minute as they combined the hype camo of the day with the popular combat cut. I'd see folks wearing them still a while later, except they were all grey looking having faded terribly after a few uses+washes. The looks of the Nov apparel offered all very much remind of the same sets and some reports I've seen line up with that.
  14. Had to redeem the previous super trash pic.
  15. Almost forgot to say cause the forum was down when I tried - got my Midwest Industries MP5TR in (pic + M-LOK) and it drops right on to my gun. Really was expecting to have to get it milled underneath or inside the claw parts to fit, but no, very surprising.
  16. If you replace that unreliable and potentially dangerous chinesium mask with some legit eye pro you'll get 2 birds with one stone. In fact more like 3 cause you'll look way cooler. From the company's own product description: "Interchangeable lenses anti-fog Ansi Z80.3 certifieo the impact resistance: for lens 420 FPS in 5 meters" First off google Ansi Z80. Then imagine a 500FPS rifle accidentally shoots you close up; you're entirely unprotected.
  17. I've updated the owners thread 👍
  18. Finally picked mine up from 'my guy' on Saturday, thought I'd provide my findings on accessory fitment: -Real collapsible F stock required the rubber buffer removing then further metal milling under where it sat, my example also needed some material removing from the tops of each stock bar. Unfortunately I can't provide further detail as I didn't witness the process. -VFC lighted forend goes right on; the TM pin is a bit of a bugger to get through as things stand so I may ream out the hole in the handguard a fraction but it can be used as stock with some persuasion, nothing too serious. -Magpul plastic handguard is tight af to get on and off where the rear of it goes around the round chamber area of the receiver, pin is fine though. I think I'll take some sandpaper to the inside of the handguard to make battery changes more reasonable in the safe zone. Just my personal findings with my gun and accessories.
  19. TM EBB has been with my machinist buddy pretty much since they released getting the real stock cut to fit, got excited and had to take a rushed pic.
  20. Huh.. sounds a lot like what I wrote in the OP.
  21. Yeees, well as per that and the Punisher series (just off the top of my head), costumers for hollywood have a similar frequency of occurrences of such to airsofters in terms of.. low fitment. Except obviously it's way worse for them to fit it wrong and have pancake flat, entirely empty carriers given that aesthetics is literally their only job/concern.
  22. Well.. yeah not much I can say there 😂 To me, a standard/field shirt would possibly suit some gents better than a lower hanging armour carrier and rather tight combat shirt; if it's not too hot and the sweating isn't too bad to the point that a standard shirt isn't viable perhaps. But then if that is the concern, a webbing style kit would work better all around I'd think; way better heat and moisture dissipation vs a vest and worn with a loose field shirt; requires buying stuff of course and might not be a preference. That circumstance aside though - still good to try for everyone else I think lol
  23. Before anyone gets triggered, I don't care at all if people do or don't wish to do this, matters zero when being shot with BBs vs bullets from a firearm, this is info purely for those who may be interested. For some, if you've never shortened the straps on your rig this may well improve comfort for you in general, but especially when doing any leaning, sitting, squatting etc; as obviously your chest is comparatively a static/solid block of rib cage, whereas your stomach area does the bending and most people's rigs hang low. The basic guide that's banded about for users of common real armour plates in popular modern PCs (JPC, Slickster etc) is that the very top of the plate should be right at the point your collar bones meet at the base of your neck. Most players buy a replica armour/plate carrier of some type and never adjust the shoulder straps, so 90% of the time they'll be lower than they 'should' (emphasis on parenthesis) be if it was real. Again, I know it isn't. Dirty selfie from yesterday's game where, if anything, my carrier is maybe a small smidge high on account of having featherlight fake 'plates' in it and it riding up a bit while in play. But from what I've seen pretty much all combat shirts have similar 1/4 zip length and as you can see about half of mine is covered up. It's actually running down to around the mid point of the English flag. End of the day, if you've never tried it it's totally free to just adjust the straps on the kit you've already got and takes about 1 minute, maybe worth a go. I think this quick and free change can potentially improve the look of a kit by a decent bit without buying anything at all. If that's not of interest though, have a nice evening ✌️
  24. Mixed bag at Driver Wood yesterday.. to say the least. First off my personal woes. Get to the point my phone is saying 2 minutes to arrival, get to the roundabout to turn down the road the site entrance is on... building on fire at about 8am (only 16C out) fire serv spraying it and road closed, so being outside the M25 that's a 10 minute detour that makes you question if you're ever going to find a way around after a while. Get there, set my bags down, begin tooling up. I made sure to properly and fully charge 3 batteries the night before, that's MORE than enough, test fired both guns too.. did I charge and bring the right batteries to actually fit inside the storage compartment of the gun I want to use? Of course not. So the backup rifle became the one-and-only all day. This is what happens when you don't play often enough to actually be suitably familiar with you own bloody equipment, combined with generally being a dunce. On the site: No pot holes on the short road to the large, smooth hard-standing car park, huge thumbs up. Best setup of check-in I've experienced by far. Biggest safe zone with the best facilities I've personally experienced by far. Most seating I've ever seen and all actually nice, usable and clean. Highest standard of toilets I've seen by a long way, widest range of food available, pretty decent little airsoft specific shop setup, drinking water tap etc. Had a pagoda spraying out mist by the game area entrance all day.. bonkers. Really great props in the airsoft game area, which is a lot of the reason I went actually. Couple of military helicopters, plane, double decker bus, decent wooden towers etc, but for me all spread out too far and not nearly utilised enough in the games. The paintball fields we walked past looked like a ton of fun. Safety brief was short which was nice, but the marshal talking had all the force of character of a wet paper towel, many weren't tuned in (this bloke was my main issue all day really). Boundaries/area not explained at all in first game, was clearly just assumed you were a regular. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, get the 'Meal deal' when booking your space. I know the café could put out some really quite decent food because I saw many other people carrying it over to their tables; the menu is frankly a great, wide selection and well priced. But the 'meal deal' is a burger/hot dog and (get this) chocolate bar and can of coke... absolute fucking garbage idea of a meal when conducting physical activity. Long as you add the salad and sauces which are available the burgher is absolutely fine, not greasy, I've had better foods at sites, but it was fine. However the 'deal' is £5 extra, whereas various other better looking options available on the day only cost 4 somehow? Where's the package deal there, surely that's not how it should work?? Not pleased. Ability to book just half a day if you want is great for many people in terms of having that option, sounds brilliant especially if you live close. Flip side to the above is that the problem marshal couldn't herd the cats at all and teams weren't balanced anywhere near properly post-lunch when at least half left and only a handful turned up. My side was both larger and more experienced. Game just after lunch was a white wash of epic proportions. One single objective area that we locked down the entire time due to team advantage and far more/better cover our side. When I asked for a clarification on the brief of said game, instead of anything even approaching a professional response I was patronised and condescended to like a fuckin idiot; would've loved to kick off an argument frankly given that said brief contained blatantly incorrect info and the insanely simple thing I asked was not in the slightest bit hard to clarify. Final game was quite possibly the worst I have ever played. Problem marshal gave the laziest, most lacklustre 'ugh it's warm and I can't be arsed to do my job' brief I have ever seen. Lasted seriously less than 30 seconds, couldn't believe it. Layout made no sense, no boundaries explained, teams still way unbalanced, didn't work in the slightest, wasn't a game. I basically just knelt by a wooden wall for 45 minutes. I could hear the paintball marshals in other netted off game areas loudly shouting games on/over, music playing etc, happened most of the day. But there were multiple times I didn't even know we'd started playing airsoft; never an issue I've experienced before. The other marshals seemed like decent blokes really, pretty good actually overall. The owner clearly loves the places, you could literally watch him all day cutting wood and building new structures. Place has a ton of potential, many brilliant aspects, just thoroughly tarnished by one lazy, meek, uninterested and unsuitable lead marshal (and the shit meal deal). If I thought there was a chance of getting a refund I'd ask for it and this is the first time I've ever felt that way. Gear observation - young lad wearing one of these (that I 100% guarantee most of you see at least one of at every single game), was complaining all day because the wire from the quick release had broken through it's sheath and was poking straight in to his side. If I could get every new player to skip that phase and get a BULLE MLE to start off I'd be one happy man. Can't imagine how many of those end up in landfill after 2 games, shocking waste of plastic and of people's money.
  25. Yeah end of the day it's a Hyperstealth pattern and despite Cramer being really weird they do come out with good modern patterns. Whether it made any sense in Afghan has arguments both ways but is very dubious indeed to my mind. Ignoring any of that though I think it's one of the best patterns for an 'average' woodland here much of the year, just isn't really obtainable unfortunately. I picked up a couple of items from Roman who's long ran out of fabric, then some issued trousers which are soon to go OOS, at which point I think it'll only be rarely seen on the used market and snaffled up by hardcore camo pattern collectors. No D, but yeah the TS shirt is very nice ta. PC is MEX4CES aka US4CES transitional with a Mexican Naval infantry logo added in; if AOR2 is Lego Technic then this camo is Duplo, but the palette is extremely close. Plus my own placard because it's fuckin sweeet but that's just in normal old MC, though again that palette has a ton in common with AOR2 and US4CES Transitional.
