Step one, bin/sell the mags. Consider either the Double Eagle Stanags (not the PMAGs those are ass) or the TM Stanags. They should be compatible and are just better made all round.

It came with 5 mags of 2 different types. 2 have the plastic outer casings with pictures of bullets inside(ripped out on day one) and 3 all metal ones with the fill valve on the back seam near the top. The plastic covered ones have the fill valve under a sliding cover on the bottom. All 5 came with purple Laylax(?) seals in them and now they're all oiled up they seem to run and feed fine.

  2. Haven't really had much chance to use my Cyma emg dd Mk18 due to, in part not played much, but mainly it was a sack of shit. The couple of times that I did use it it was either too hot, even though I'd adjusted the npas all the way down or the mags venting after a few shots.

So, inbetween other projects I have on at the mo, I've had it stripped on my bench. Dining table would be a better name but I'll go with bench. Ive stripped and oiled all the valves on the mags, presuming it was sticky valves. Didn't realise there are 2, well strictly speaking 3, valves in a mag. All taken out and oiled. I was thinking of doing a full seal replace but that can wait. Ive stripped the front end and cleaned everything and put a new 4uantum bucking and nub in. Problem now is that there isn't enough hop, even on the highest setting, so the BBs just roll out of the barrel! I'll take it apart again and check I've installed it right but am I missing anything? Apart from my marbles!

Oh, also, I haven't tried it yet but after stripping every thing down I had a proper look at the npas valve. I had tightened the bomt until I could feel the resistance, only realising after ud seen it that it needs to tightened more sonit moves the bit valve against the bolt bit.

A see I am at the bottom of a large learning curve.

  3. Played at The Big One near Lincoln, run by the Lincolnshire Airsoft Club today. I'm spending more and more of my time in this part of the world and the site is only 20 odd minutes away. They have use of 4 sites, well it will be 4 soon, and The Big One is a fairly dense woodland. The part that we played on today was about 2 acres, which is fine as there were only 20 players. The first play was sort of a standard domination game. There were numerous poles, with a tube that slides on it. It was coloured with red and yellow, our team colours, and you had to have your colour pointing up. Who ever has the most poles displaying their colour wins. I've no idea who won, I was just really enjoying the game, the communication, the hit calling and the terrain. As it is in Lincolnshire, its reasonably flat, ish! I like flat, I'm too old and fat to be running up and down hills.

I played at Sixmill near Rugeley a few weeks ago and it was an amazing site but with 140 odd players and a large site on the side of a hill, I was soon knackered amd lost. I did manage to wander, because I was lost, behind the enemy position and got close enough to a sniper to ask him if he wanted to take the hit, or the shot. He took the hit. 😁

Anyway, second game was an attack and defend where we, the attacking team, had to get 2 jerry cans into a crater that the red team where defending. 10 second medic and 60 second bleed out where in play. I'd love to say that we got close but we didn't. The defenders were dug in to some proper cracking spots and we just couldn't get close. Again, really good terrain and excellent game play from both teams.

I did get shot in the side, a few minutes, after game end at one point as he hadn't heard the end command! I wasn't impressed but found it funny enough! Lol

I was using my G&G CM16 Warthog as my DD EMG MK18 is in peices on my dining table. I just can't get the power to a usable lever! I suppose I'm going to have to ask a billion questions to get it sorted. Also couldn't carry my P226 as I forgot gas and wasn't buying more just for today! Ive loads at home.

  4. It reay pees me off when peope post repies, other people refernce it then then they delete the original post! You read the quited post and realised that you've missed something and have to go back to see what you've missed ony to reaise that its been deeted!!!!

Like on this thread! Colin quoted it and I thought I had completely switched off and missed a chunk!!!!

  5. I've had this a couple of times. It was a few years ago when I first sold a few things. The money was held until the buyer confirmed the item had arrived, or no dispute was raised by the advised delivery date.

A bit of patience is a good approach.

I did see recently about a mod on cutting down the valve stem inside a magazine based on the theory that a fill stops when the fill gets up to the end of the stem.  So a long stem would only get about 1/3d of the magazines internal capacity, and a shorter stem would give more.

My thought was - why not tip the magazine so the long stem was high up, the gas goes in, liquifies, and doesn’t ’fill over’ the end of the long stem?

I saw this too and had the same thought but doesn't the filling canister need to upside down so you are filling the mag with liquid and not just gas, which would happen if the can is the "right way" up.

I have a MWS with 5 mags & also done the mag mod so they hold way more gas now.

What mod? Is that MWS specific?

Including venting the mags and refilling them

I saw a lad doing this but didn't understand his reasons why, so, why do you vent just to refill?
