  1. Welcome! Personally i love a front sight post!
  2. Ive just taken the plunge and by my calcs on 18:1 gear set ive gone with a Black Standard speed (20k on 7.4v / 30k on 11.1v) I intend to run it 7.4 and if i think it needs more speed (read 'response') i can 11.1v it whilst also knowing it wont overspeed and clip a full tooth piston.
  3. Yes we can see that ? Hop unit looks to be good! TDC on an AK ?
  4. Noisiest parts of an AEG are the motor itself, the pinion/bevel, the piston hitting the cylinder head. High quality high torque brushed or brushless motor. Helical pinion/bevel set Correct volume so the piston decelerates into the cylinder head, not smash into it, and sorbo to deaden the blow. A weighty piston also aids this.
  5. Best looking machine gun ever!? Garand M250 And oh my the 338 at the end ?? Oh and MCX bullpup what!?
  6. Donor AUG for DMR build & 6 mids
  7. …joined 28mins a ago ?
  8. Yes @PureSilver thats exactly it, just unobtanium, if i find any ill let you know, thanks
  9. Thats my findings, they are all 100+ Ive got a Feyachi M-LOK one for the time being, if i decide i like the gun enough and use the bipod i may be tempted to shell out in the future, but a cheap one would be nice from an easthetic POV.
  10. Hey all, anybody know of, or have an over the bore/barrel decent/cheap bipod? It will be picatinny / RIS mount. Like this sort thing
  11. Completely unrelative to the physics of airsoft, but IMO completely necessary from a REAL Imitation Firearm - a DMR should have real world validity. That being 7.62/303 or 6.5 etc. Or if 5.56 etc then at least 18” barrel. Amongst others it’s why I don’t like MK23 carbines.
  12. True, quite a lot of pewers dont know where they got shot from though The appeal of 'DMR' for me is not the ultimate extra range, but the effective accurate punch at 60-70m to penetrate leaf cover etc, ive had plenty of 'assualt' guns that are accurate at 65m but not enough punch. And then the other benefit is suppresion out to 80-90m.
  13. Hands down HPA is the quietest bay far, but when you factor in its a DMR and you cant fire below 25-30m anyway suddenly the AEG becomes very similar in sound signature. My mates 'worked' P90 is almost unhearable at 10m in the woods.
  14. LOL @Skara I’m building an AUG DMR, it’s a sensible option as it’s short, quiet as the gearbox is further muffled being in your body mass and inside a plastic body rather than metal.
  15. Once you go inside it can snowball out of control, as said the innards are not really deisgned to take more power. Even a straight spring swap to an M95 will wear the sector gear fast. https://sixgunsmithing.com/2018/03/19/why-upgrade-your-tm-gears/ You will only realise big gains in range and accuracy by doing a lot internally, and as most will say - unless its done right it will have a short lifespan comparatively. I would look to fit the longest Prometheus 6.03 barrel in (275-300mm i think) this will give a little FPS boost. A G&G green, or prommy purple (more grip/backspin/hop with less pressure) coupled with an SCS or Super Nub (centres BB in hop chamber consistently) will improve range and accuracy slightly.
  16. I think youre there, the MP7 or MP5 are perfect. There are more experienced Warheads out there, i would educated guess say 31k is plenty fast enough with the 18:1 TBH that combo would be so fast precocking is almost nullified, and as you asy reduced strees for sure.
  17. You won’t really need to mess with the volume ratio as it’s about perfect for 0.36-0.43 standard, just tune the ammo to it. What wasn’t mentioned and I think makes for a very cheap build is the Cyma SR25, the innards are plenty strong for 450fps, so you could spend out on a nice brushless motor if you wanted minimum noise and maximum battery life and semi spam cool running. If not then my ol favourite ASG 22000. Otherwise for me it’d be; Mosfet with Cycle detection and pre cocking, Lonex helical bevel/pinion, sorbo only on cyl head, spring to suit, 60d MR bucking with Super Nub. The other nice thing about battery powered DMR is being able sling it on your back and carry a really useful subgun when moving around or if you’re compromised. IMO the P90 is the ultimate for this role!
  18. I was heavily researched into potentially building up an M110. I know you’re looking hard at HPA, why not make it AEG based? Use one of the models @Crazy_Crystal has said and what the V2.5 was meant for! With helical bevel, the right motor and pre-cocking you can make a very quiet AEG. No not HPA mouse fart but damn good.
  19. Maybe this Heath guy thinks he’s pricing everything in New Zealand Dollars! ??‍♂️
  20. All the superior parts causing problems then ? I jest, for the record magazine do not need taller gas routes 'for a better seal', all this does is exert excessive upward pressure on the working parts. If i have the right 'bulge' in mind, that is another upgrade for a problem that didnt exist in the MWS - poor BB pick up. So did you modify any of the aftermarket parts to work properly?
  21. @M4ELATR0M so what was causing your running issue?
  22. Def a muppet if he thinks battery voltage changes fps ? Did he have a rail gun or something?
