Cerakote is tougher than the plastic yes, but obv if you grind it up brickwork it wont last, but neither would any coating/anodising etc

@emilianoksa All stock TM I sanded the finger grooves off the lower as they were just annoying and then stippled and painted it. The slide is stock just Cerakoted in patriot brown, Tritium front sight, cowcow rear.

That sounds weird, like it’s more an S hop than R hop. Is the patch soft to touch / does it move easily if you carefully probe with a bb in-jamming rod?

What is the arm made of? Does it directly press onto the R patch?

Took the freshly pimped TM G19 Gen 4 out today, some indoor action at Invicta Black Site. Absolutely love how snappy the Gen 4 is even on lowest power gas, 45M flat trajectory on 0.25s, couldn’t ask for more from such a little gun!

Yeh, that should be flat, unless they’ve compensated for a very poorly done R patch

Now I cannot comment on the drop in kit, but yes an Rhop is great at range as it allows you to drive heavier ammo. 1J Rhop will give you a good 60M+ range on an AEG There’s a lot at play though and Rhop is either epic or shit, that comes down ultimately to the quality of the Rhop ‘work’. The other factor at play potentially is that you said it came with another hop unit. Is it an original Krytac hop unit or some aftermarket one? If it’s not genuine then I would wager most of your issues are hop unit/gun body alignment/nozzle relationship caused.

Aye fog is the biggest bitch of airsoft, especially if your eyes need correction.

The Goggs are mesh supplied by @heroshark, his super fandango hexagonal stuff. Did some drill today with the mask, tweaked it about - all good. Rivetted the lower and painted it up Definitely the best setup I’ve ever had, with prescription inserts in the X800s

Found a couple offcuts of 0.9mm Ti sheet and bolted my face mesh to my Bolle X800’s ? Give it a test this weekend and if all good I’ll swap the lower bolts for rivets

A few people have definitely had ‘hop unwinding’ but I can’t say I’ve experienced it, nor have any of the people with the problem ever said what the resolve was. Either way I’m sure it’ll all become crystal clear once you remove the barrel assy ?

If you’ve got a really soft rubber then you may have split it if running 0.36 or higher as the bucking is literally stuck between 2 hard things

Got reunited with my Remington earlier this year, now finished the overhaul and upgrades. MOE K2 flush fitted, safety delete, MESA shot shell holder, Romeo 3 optic, all new gas seals - has held pressure for a month now ?

There’s so much ‘shadow stock’ crap these days too, I swear sellers are ordering in upon the customers order.

Firing stop on empty makes a big difference IMO, firstly you don’t give away the fact you’ve run dry to everyone attacking you, secondly it’s so much more immersive when you change mag and hit the bolt release. Personally I’m not a fan of electric ’recoil’ only because I like full stealth so the extra noise I don’t like. Really a NGRS is the best OOTB. Seriously no other AEG can shoot as straight and true from the box. The hop unit and related parts are the best in the business, yes you can get other airsoft guns to perform the same but it takes A LOT of effort. If you’re not buying an NGRS then I really don’t see you getting any better value past the £300 mark. All you’re getting is box ticking with usually sub standard bells and whistles. Sub £300 I would look at these as base guns, owing to great externals and build with easy upgrade; E&L AK105/SU ARCTURUS GR16 ASG Scorpion EVO These have the quality to match the TM and with work have the same performance ceiling. The Scorpion is a little over 300, but you get bolt-lock-on-empty and 3rd burst. RE NGRS trigger lock up, this is a rarity and is caused by the user… It happens because the trigger is not being fully depressed for the full cycle / spammed faster than the gun is capable of. If you get an NGRS you hands down will love a Gate Titan or BTC Spectre in it, they are one of the best upgrades to any airsoft gun TBH. Also just noticed the AK12 is available from E&L now ?
