If your current setup is 18:1, 7.4v = 19 RPS then yes a 35k warhead on 7.4 will net around 25-28. You WILL need to short stroke the piston otherwise you WILL strip a piston with pre engagement. Unless you have an illegal 400fps full auto gun.

Skills^ Do you do 3D design for a living!? Your distraction device reminds me of the tactical rubber chickens we used to use at a CQB site 😂

Bastardised the shit out my £27 Emerson ‘Wendy’ lid so that it actually fits a man head and I can wear my comtac’s inside it, it’s so comfy now! Should be loads of ventilation too.

WTF is the point in that! 😂 Im sorry that Velcro’s together round your gooch 😳

PS white lithium is fine for the gears, just use something like Superlube, TechT or similar for the compresson parts so they dont dry out and bind up/drag which would result in a stripped piston or similar.

Its worth checking your bucking to nozzle seal, this is done by having the gearbox set such that the nozzle is in its most forward postion, then push the hop unit assy into the front of the gearbox, if you now blow into the exit end of the inner barrel it should be completely air tight. This will highlight a poor seal between; Bicking to barrel/hop assy Nozzle and bucking lips Nozzle to cyl head Piston to cylinder

That actually looks quite pretty, is it an actual W anchor gun? Whats inside? Is the paracord structural?

The best advice is definitely have an active job that doesn’t involve you being in stress positions for hours every day. Like others I’ve got one weaker knee from work, it suck’s sometimes. Luckily I think I cottoned on to it pretty soon, and as such I make concerted effort to strengthen it by doing rucks and taking joint supplements, collagen peptides look very interesting (not the fillers, they look interesting for sure 😂), but as a powder supplement, it plays a big part in joint cartilage repair which falls off a cliff naturally once in your 30s I believe.

Its definitely a bonus for guns with tiny battery space, but TBH its a lot of cash, you could run any quality 25k brushed motor for half, if not a third of the cost. They are nice dont get me wrong, but a bit of ballache to fit, i think their ideal usage is in DMRs / 400+ guns.

Indeed, 7.4v 13:1 with 22TPA was my go to setup on 20+ builds, but the brushless motors allow the same response on a 18:1 setup when run on 11.1, run waaaay cooler, batteries last so much longer, and the gearbox on the whole is quieter owing to less stress - eg lower gear ratio / torque through gears. @J4ck you could run any of the nice setups above, even a brushless motor without having to use an internal/smart fet, just use a decent external mosfet like Perun AB++. If you do use the brushless motor make sure to disable or run the lowest active brake settings. Also of note that if you intend to change the pinion on a brushless it can require some extra work that some might find scary to do considering the cost of the motor.

Best new setup ive implemented a few times with great success is; 11.1v Warhead standard speed or other quality brushed 25k motor with stock gears (18:1) and helical bevel. Just makes the sweetest sounding action with zero stress. Will put out 19RPS on an M110 so is the goldilocks speed if you ask me Obv this doesnt help the OP with his gearbox of choice currently, but hopefully good info for what guts to use. And obv you will want a suitable mosfet at least or Perun Hybrid/Gate Titan etc to optimise.

Do you have any actual knee issues like tissue damage or previous injuries? Or does it just feel achey and/or weak sometimes? Seeing as you run long games away from the safe zone (lucky git) and you need stuff to stay hydrated and bomb up I would say a better setup would be to have a chest rig (personally love the TT MAV 2) for all your actual battle gear. Then support that with a backpack that carries all your restock/hydro/food. That will ditch a good 2-3kg I’d wager at least. Cheap and most excellent, will carry everything you have described. https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/tactical-tailor-fight-light-mav-2-piece-23018lw-15480-p.asp

Any tall peeps that can recommend short sleeve polo shirts that have a nice long torso and sleeve length? TIA
