To clarify a longer barrel length increases FPS; Which also means energy - which means you can use heavier ammo more effectively - which reduces deviation from wind and fauna - which means ACCURACY is increased Which also means speed - which means the BB takes longer to slow down - which means backspin and lift are maintained longer - which means RANGE is increased

Extra barrel length only adds power, not accuracy.

Bought a new LCT Ak105 for the next build (in build already haha), along with some sexy mags i know nowt about this stuff, but do you need an IR illuminator, or does it have an in built one? -
Sooo may have not been out playing of late, but i bought a used / not working TM M870 during lockdown months back, sold as leaking and having a hash sawn of job done, plus some vom RIS screwed on. The sweetener for me was it coming with an Angry Gun Gas AR stock, which seem to be obsolete for the most part nowadays. Ordered a few WII TECH & SAT parts at the same time, they arrived a few weeks later from the east. Basically it was leaking between the receiver and the gas expansion/reservoir inlet, a couple O rings sorted that, then that leak moved forward - with the proper pressure in the expansion cylinder - the nozzle was now leaking, luckily id ordered a WII TECH one I also ordered a genuine MESA Remington pump grip and cartridge holder through Brownells. The pump grip took a little bit of TLC with the finger blaster, sorry sander, and gives a much better lump to grip. I did splash out on the SAT steel shortened outer barrel, to remedy the hash saw job, plus it has the nice finish and trades. One bonus other M870 users may or may not be aware of - the SAT barrel has a threaded screw hole to screw the block to up front, this is AMAZING as it does away with that PITA nut plate inside the barrel - if youve taken one of these down youll appreciate how great that is! Also fitted the WII TECH aluminum hop unit and loading nozzle unit, awesome bit of machining that! I then reinstated the pump lock with WII TECH steel parts, works a charm. Well chuffed with it, now it all works properly, its most satisfying to operate, and the shot sound is pretty cool. Will get some nice TM cartridges now it works Oh yeh and when testing / not fully assembled i managed to shoot that3 way barrel spacer into the garden during strong winds, that was novel haha!

Are your BBs good quality, not deformed or degraded? Are the barrel and bucking clean, free from lube / degreased?

Sparklabs MicroSmart... fitted the Gate NanoAAB to the G36 but braking way to savagely for my mechanical sympathies. Looking forward to trying out the MicroSmart adjustable active brake. The joys of V3 trigger sets! Would have had a BTC in it from the outset if not for being V3. COME ON BTC!!!! -
Wonder where that came from!? Shouldnt be difficult to get a genuine buffer. Whats the game plan?

Indeed, I genuinely could not believe my eyes, Geoff's mag empty, insert mag of GDs and pulled the trigger - very satisfying! -

I used to exclusively use Green Devil BIOs way back when. They are scarce in the U.K. but I recently bought a load from Belgium. Did some 50M testing with my G36 couple nights back. Long story short, was using non BIO Geoff's Super Precision 0.28s, switched to GD 0.28s, easy 40% grouping size reduction, AND THEY ARE BIOs!!! -
The MWS has quite a large cutout compared to most GBBs Thats why most MWS compatible inner barrels are advertised as such. Obv AEG won't fit as they do not have a cutout, but a window.

@Arassuil nice, not enough FSP rails in use!

Thats a pretty high comendation then! Thanks! Waiting on an FDE MRO cover, the Pico AAB arrived today ?

Legolas! ? Yeh if only!! Just need 600 yrs of Elvish experience and insane senses

So freakin cool, I think they def need to be classified as sniper / 500 / med."

A suppressor does work for sure. The quietest setup I found was; 330fps UAC light bolt Suppressor HSB As @P4radox said, a lot of noise comes from the blowback/Recoil. This is reduced when there is less work (gas pressure) required to cycle the bolt. You are also making the whole cycle faster so harder to locate. I have actually engaged many enemies under 30M like that. Time between shots, and shooting when other noises happen elsewhere to cover your report are good practice too Also worthy of note, I find heavier BBs leave quieter! ??♂️
-
Youll just have to wind the power down, it's a big advantage the joule creep, and if your engagements are mostly 50+M then you want 0.36s in that. Good thing is your vertical deviation is a misnomer. At 60M even a light breeze will curl a BB of course. Also trigger discipline is a big thing. ?
-
You need to rule out wind for sure. And note if they are generally curving vertically up/down or laterally left/right

@GothicGhost i bet thats actually quite effective camo in use! Finally got around to assembling the G36C, on the whole very happy with the build, although i think im going to have to swap the X-ASR for a Pico AAB, the internal rollback noise of the gears to the anti reversal latch drives me mad on semi!! Of all the colours i feel the FDE on the mags is the least effective, its too bright i feel, ive got some good ol' Humbrol Dark brown (FDE) aerosol which il prop spritz them with as its such an awesome FDE in use. The whole layout of the gun colouring was to blend with myself / Pencott Greenzone at the rear of the gun, and wrapping the gun around trees/fortifications/dirt etc at the front end.
