  1. @rocketdogbert i suppose you did, yes. Using my recent AK as an example, actually exact same lengths as OP - had a 300 - fitted a 340, picked up 10 fps, backed up by more joule creep / less energy loss with heavier ammo. Same barrel make and bore, same bucking, hop unit, nozzle, everthing. OP been pretty shy on details so whatever, its pot luck really.
  2. Thats not really true, there are so many variables. If you were sticking purely to the same spring, cylinder type, bb weight, barrel ratio etc etc etc then yes. Most stock AEGS are well over volumed on 0.2s, (for those not aware - this essentially means the BB has left the barrel but air is still coming out) so if you increase the barrel length you will impart more energy and therefor speed into given BB. This is exploited most by GBB as they 'self-volume' thanks to the floating valve. @steverebo i think you will pick up 15 fps (+/-5)
  3. I am rather excited about this i must admit!
  4. The MWS is actually lightweight, it’s the mags that add the heft, ~450g each. As @rocketdogbert said, the only plus point of the MTR is the ambi controls. Otherwise you want to increase fps over 350 there is no need for the long front end/barrel. If you do want to maximise the MWS platform strong points for ‘reaching out’ then as a DMR they are great. If you like the aesthetics of the MTR then it’s perfectly fine. You also won’t feel so short changed in the round count using as DMR So unless you want the externals/ambi specifically I would build from an M4A1 PS I also acknowledge @alxndrhll comments, although I would say the gas capacity of the MWS is superior and it is a lot quieter in operation. I love the MP7 for its ASBO nature
  5. Hello! The PX4 is not as well built as other TM Pistols, the Gen4 Glocks are so much better than the Gen3 from an efficiency/performance POV. There is no difference regarding reliability etc though. I cannot comment on the XDM, but have owned most others. IMO the best TM blowback pistols are the FNX, HK45 tactical, HK USPs, Gen4 Glocks. 144a is enough in a TM, especially in summer, as the temps drop use of more powerful / green gas is prefectly fine.
  6. I was seriously considering that SVU, very nice and great value! What does your cap moral patch say?
  7. Yeh if they actually aimed at individuals they might have gotten further 😂
  8. Thats summer for you
  9. Like the yanks say… SLLS Stop, Look, Listen, Smell Staying put briefly, and scanning with your eyes rather than looking intentionally the human brain picks up movement much faster, if you think you saw something then chances are you did. Unless you’re well concealed don’t stay put for too long. If you can smell an air softer it’s probably one of those dirty gillie bush twats 😂 Back on original Q, magnification is good for checking ahead 100M, a decent scope will penetrate dimly light areas and shadows. 2-4x mag is good for 60M+ fire, any less and dot sight. So a stacked setup is best, and looks legit seeing as that’s what we all want 😁
  10. This advert is COMPLETED!

Hey everyone, imon the hunt for a VFC M40a5 GBBR rifle, ideally with some mags and in full working order, but hit me with whatever you have. Thanks Dave

  11. No im looking at the plastic nozzle where it loads the BB - front of the gold G&P
  12. Then you shout 'friendly fire' 'check your fire ffs' 'marshal' 😂
  13. The G&P nozzle doesnt lok like it in the best of health! Thinks like the hop unit on the MWS really dont need changing - just sayin for other potential viewers.
  14. Yeh barricade / barrel is a PITA with high HOB if your actually wanting to aim and no present a huge pop-up-pirate
  15. Definitely, being sighted up ready to exploit any opportunity, in urban or woodland setting with a single snap shot .
  16. Well you know the options, it’s upto you 😁 You cannot put a V2 in a V3 platform
  17. It’s rum, always rum 😂
  18. G&P mags are the only ones I’m aware of that I haven’t tried/tested. Once again they prob all come from the same factory anyway!! Be very weary of gas routes that are too tall, they will press up against the nozzle are really mess shit up.
  19. Yeh TM are undersized, they guesstimated the dims from pics. It’s so annoying!! Love a full size KWA, but they are crap compared to TM performance.
  20. Not sure why you compare 50rd to 20rd, stock mags are 35rd. But hey 🤷🏻‍♂️ The real test is how many shots can you get from one gas fill? Aye the stock bolt deforms on the hammer reset, but only so far, it work hardens. In all honesty TM could have put a steel chip there. Non the less the stock bolt works perfectly for 10s of thousands of rounds. I do like a lighter bolt, it has many benefits. But the rollers on the G&P are unnecessary as the bolt centrally locates to the buffer part ‘A’. And with the buffer spring/tube/assembly lightly coated with Moly grease it works very slickly. RE your problem; using the stock TM mag as a pattern, line the mag catch detent up with the ProWin mag, and look for discrepancies in the height of the upper plate, feed lips and gas route. You will most likely have to file/sand some shit down.
  21. Just in case you didn’t know: Shim each gear individually, fully screwing the gbox case together to check for clearance / free spin. Once you’ve done them all add one at a time a re screw gbox and test. That way if you get a tight spot or meshing issue you’ll know what caused it. If you get a tight spot check teeth don’t have any burrs, sometimes there are manufacturing errors. With the bevel and pinion roll them in your fingers, some combos don’t get on. PS it’s worth fitting the bevel only, then the motor with pinion to setup the height etc, then also power the motor to check fine tune.
  22. Guy on the left looks a lot like Paul from Prison Break I mean its not cos he was born in '69 but v similar
  23. The best solution but completely impossible 'cos AR' would be to have the stock dropped, that way you keep low HOB for less disparity / hold over variations, an upright aware stance for active shooting, but the best bit - you could just lift up a cheek riser for prone shooting no? Or the other solution that already exists that they seem to have forgotten about is;
