  1. Definitely another cash grab with the the John Wick franchise and even more disappointing than Double Bell's version that's just a jumped up M4. Especially with the huge magazine, using green gas would surely have been a better way to try and engineer this with a tri-shot setup but I guess the licensing fee took aware from the R&D budget.
  2. The sites can vary in terms of fps (at a given weight of BB) or a joule limit based on the conditions of their liability insurance policy. That ~1.4J/400fps spec is presumably for a DMR setup as it's illegal to have a full-auto capable airsoft gun above 1.3J without a section 5 licence. As Colin said, if you ask them to tune the gun to run at a maximum of 1 joule with a chosen weight of BB and they can oblige you on that, that ought to suit you with the majority of UK sites if you don't want to swap springs.
  3. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/two-tone-replicas/two-tone-blue-airsoft-m4_i68968 The dream: "I'm doing everyone a favour. I'm knocking off a tenner from my two-tone. It doesn't matter that the brand new RIF is still less expensive."
  4. RIFT Airsoft's partner retailer White Sphere Tactical recently opened its full-time shop - every day except Tuesday - in the Stukeley Meadows Industrial Estate (just off the A141) in Huntingdon after it had previously run "only" with a pop-up shop at RIFT Airsoft's sites on game days. Though I had no problems with gear I'd purchased from them in the past, having a permanent store does offer some peace of mind that you have more days in the week to go back to the shop if something is wrong with it instead of having to wait until the next game day to speak in person. There are somewhat more guns and accessories on display at the shop as you may expect and the shop has a 4-lane range where you can test your kit out. In addition to the WST's shop and range, you can see a sneak peek of RIFT Airsoft's "Blackstone CQB" site under construction, expected to open in November. https://www.whitespheretactical.co.uk/
  5. Deleted and reposted with a further reduction. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/electric-powered/cm16-preditor_i68742 No mention of the "£400 of upgrades" or that it was done by Bomb Up Airsoft any more, just a "what you see is what you get" without saying if the PEQ box is functional or not or being specific about the trigger.
  6. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/electric-powered/cm16-preditor_i68609 "My weekend dream. I'm selling my gun for £850. It's got £400 of upgrades that I haven't bothered to specify and the base gun's not worth even close to £450 brand new at retail. I don't play any more since it was upgraded but I still think it's worth that much."

  8. When it was running, RIFT Airsoft's Battery CQB (mix of indoor and outdoor) site didn't allow pyro at all in part because of that concern. Though there were multiple access points, it would have been all too easy to turn most (if not all) of them into choke points when there were more than 20 or so players on each side. In the (outdoor) CQB section of its Redcon site, pyro's only real restrictions that I recall are underarm throwing and that you can't throw blindly. The entrances/exits of it force you to advance to throw pyro in a useful area and thus expose yourself to oncoming fire.
  9. I couldn't agree more about multiple access points to reduce the likelihood of bottlenecks. I would also also suggest trying to find a balance of access points as a given layout can give the attacking team a huge tactical advantage against the defending team and vice versa. If opposing teams have 5 acess points (for argument's sake) each, the lighting, distance between points, terrain, etc, can contribute to an imbalance.
  10. When you take the mag out, are there any loose BBs that either fall from the mag or remain in the hop chamber? If not, you may have some sort of feeding problem from the mag into the gun itself whether there's a faulty spring or you may not have wound up the gears at the bottom of a high-cap mag.
  11. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/34298-double-eagle-honey-badger-m904 "I had a dream: I bought a two-tone airsoft gun. I played with it once and decided it wasn't for me but it is still worth as much as somebody paying for it brand new without two-tone." https://a2supplies.co.uk/products/double-eagle-m904-m4-with-falcon-fire-control-system
  12. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/two-tone-replicas/electric-powered_1/m4-with-custom-muzzle-break_i67737 The dream: "Why would anyone pay £100 for a RIF at retail when they can buy my two-tone jobbie for £120?" https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/cyma-cm-518-m4-w-custom-muzzle-brake
  13. The flatter 7.4v nunchuck batteries will do the job if you don't have a MOSFET https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/specna-arms-7-4v-1200mah-15-30c-battery-nunchuck Duel Code does one similar if I'm not mistaken.
  14. Who said one had to spend hundreds of pounds on internals? One of my P90s has its stock internals apart from those necessary to remove (trigger bar, trigger contacts, motor wires and the cut-off lever) to fit the Perun MOSFET for less than £250 for the pair and it fires extremely well (the gears, piston and cylinder were all in great shape when I serviced the gearbox) and that MOSFET offers considerably more features than TM's version. It can be argued that there's greater value for money from that perspective. The challenge is getting either the Krytac 50/200 magazines or the MAG mid-caps. TM or Cyma low-caps are relatively easy to get hold of and the high-caps aren't hard to find but I wouldn't recommend the latter because of how poorly they feed.
  15. Exactly. There's no perfect solution as each has its upsides and drawbacks. If you don't get both, you'd have to weigh up whose drawbacks you can live with the most easily.
  16. If you go down the Krytac route, you should bear in mind as alluded to that there are proprietary parts so upgrading can become very expensive. One fellow in somewhat recent news found that getting an OEM replacement nozzle for his Krytac P90 after a site owner drilled it was next to impossible so he needed to get a replacement custom made. The TM (non Plus) clones can be bought affordably and upgraded quite easily, especially with the Perun mosfet, which can allow a variety of firing modes, adjustable trigger sensitivity, pre-cocking. I'm looking for the Krytac 50/200 round mags but they're still harder to find that rocking horse poo.
  17. That is true to an extent. With shipping containers, the weight is probably only a cost factor if the maximum capacity is exceeded since volume is more of a concern. On a container ship, the difference between pallets of 0.32g and 0.36g in all their packaging will make nigh on no difference as they're not dense enough to go over the weight limit. The weight will make a bigger difference when it comes to the supply channel stage of distribution to resellers and retailers where weight is a much bigger concern.
  18. As I said, it's either back to school syndrome or post-purchase regret. This is honestly one of the best (or worst for the seller) examples why you should always consider rental for starting out and never spend big on anything you have to two-tone.
  19. It depends on whether the nozzle is a clone of an existing Hi-Capa OEM, a close enough match or if they're ASG's proprietary design without compatibility.
  20. Is your index finger constantly holding the button down or are you pressing it repeatedly? If it's the former, I would think there's some intermittent problem with the contacts shared by the laser and the LED as they seemed to turn on and off together. My first thought would be the battery or power button contacts.
  21. Welcome! You can but you would need for the tracer to be no more than ~34mm wide to fit on the outer barrel thread since it's recessed within the handguard when you remove the sound amplifier. The alternative is to get an outer barrel extension so the thread sits proud of the handguard.
  22. Seeing that this mod was done a while ago, my first thought is that general wear and tear, especially with CO2, may have compromised a seal whether it's your hop unit, the hop rubber or your nozzle, possibly a combination of them.
  23. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/air-guns/specna-arm-airsoft-bb-gun_i67229 This back to school sickness appears to be contagious with that price for an entry-level two-tone Specna Arms gun and its dime a dozen accessories. Barely used with a few marks
  24. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/electric-powered/gg-gc16-predator_i67153 Back to school syndrome or post-purchase regret. Two-tone with a few accessories priced very, very optimistically.
