Are you looking at them for the sake of breaking down in your garden more quickly than non-bio BBs? Full-face protection is a must-have for an under-18. If you buy it from an airsoft retailer, you shouldn't have any concerns but if you buy from Amazon, eBay or other mainstream retailers, be on the lookout that it is safety rated (Z87 or EN166B/EN166A) as you can find unscrupulous or underinformed sellers who sell face masks as airsoft products but they break with a single impact.

I think you've misunderstood what I was getting at. I wasn't questioning that it's above current retail pricing, merely speculating that he'd paid more than he should have which is why the price is so divorced from reality. Either way, he's not done his homework to establish what his bundle is likely to fetch.

Have you checked the hammer assembly? That's my next port of call after you've ruled out the magazine, the nozzle and its O-rings and ambient temperatures. I've had gas venting and firing in full auto (on a Hi-Capa) because a sear spring was seated incorrectly.

Where did you test it that you had this problem? Giving the retailer the benefit of the doubt of testing it and seeing no problem, have you been using your pistol in outdoors or in an otherwise cold environment when you had this gas venting problem?

How do you mean "perform better"? If you just mean perform more consistently than 144a or green gas in the winter, you genuinely don't have to do any upgrades at all on a TM Hi-Capa to run it on HPA with as long as you keep your pressures down. As it's your first attempt at running a pistol on HPA, it may be worth seeing how you find the performance with the Hi-Capa running stock at ~80psi before looking at any other upgrades. If you run a shorter stroke, you'll want to look at upgrading your recoil & hammer springs for example at which point you may want to do your nozzle also so you can run a slightly higher pressure. By the time you get to ~90psi, the plastic slide will be a major limitation so that will need to be replaced with a metal one. You can also look at a new hop unit and inner barrel for improved range and accuracy.

I would have thought most sites would have done their "New Year" games this weekend or they'll be doing them on the 4th/5th. I'm not saying there aren't any sites playing on New Year's Day though I would question how many sites have enough available marshals, mid-week on a bank holiday and have enough demand from players to make hosting worth it.
