  1. What aspect of the MDR requires it to be designed in such a way that necessitates splitting the gun in half just to install a battery? My first thought was that Luke was going to pop off that black plastic butt pad to install the battery (like most other bullpup AEGs), but you have to split the gun in half instead? What's the reasoning for that?
  2. The lack of trigger discipline reminds me of that meme with Jamal and the rocket launcher.
  3. Their Facebook page advises they have a Whatsapp number. (+852 6255 8686). I would try every contact method, not just email, if you haven't already.
  4. Place an ad by clicking on your profile (top right) and clicking "New Advert". Be honest and descriptive in your advert, especially if there are any faults/missing parts/etc. Ship via Parcel Force Express48. (Thanks @rocketdogbert) Be prepared to print off your own postage label as you'll need to drop it off via your local depot or Post Office and they may not be able to print labels for you if you purchase shipping online. Make sure you provide the tracking number to whoever is buying. If a part of you still wants to use this gun, which you've clearly put a lot of effort and money into, consider making another thread and asking if there isn't a way to cheaply repair it.
  5. An excellent thought. I might decide to run a poll. Haven't decided yet.
  6. I have decided to ignore this poll.

Is it bad enough to make it to his YT channel?

God, it's be great to get a video out of it, but I don't think it's controversial enough. Just another bog standard M4 AEG. Positively boring. Had a little bit of stars-in-me-eyes when I actually met him though. Very cool dude.

  8. Hesitant to bump such an old topic, but if anyone has any recommendations or personal experiences with a tech in South Wales or just across the border, I'd like to hear it. I know of two techs through googling - R.A.T. - Roberts Airsoft Tech in Newport, and Airsoft Cymru - The Depot in Cardiff, but I haven't seen any examples/reviews of their work (and watching a lot of Negative Airsoft has possibly spoiled me. Might try to join his waiting list, but would prefer to give my business to someone local).
  9. Can you tell the story of what happened to these two RIFs? I'd be interested to learn.
  10. Cheers. I think I'd rather get the Mk1 as there is nothing to change out (correct lower handguard, correct stock, correct barrel length). Just need to know if adding a Mk2 top heatshield would be an easy job or if it would require, say, the services of a tech.
  11. Hi guys, I'm looking to buy an M249 to complete my JGSDF impression. Here is a RS example: Googling around, it seems the closest airsoft equivalent to real JSDF Minimi's are Mk1 M249s (like from Specna Arms, where the stock and lower handguard match), but with the top heatshield from the Mk2? Might it be as simple as obtaining a Mk2 top heatshield as a spare part and slapping it on? Example of an airsoft Mk1 M249: Any from current Minimi owners as to how feasible this is would be appreciated.
