  1. In fairness to Luke and myself, this was after a whole litany of issues getting this bloody gun to work because G&P can't drill their receivers right. And if I'm remembering right, this was after only ONE instance of using it in inclement weather, so I was horrified that "a little bit of rain" did so much damage. This is mentally what I'm dealing with. Maybe I was just unlucky. I would love to better seal my AEGs against the rain, if there was a way to do it. Or have a specific AEG for use in the wet weather.
  2. I would love to not be put off by foul weather - but it's not the lack of kit stopping me... It's Neg Air/Luke waving my AEG at me saying "there is RUST in the barrel!" - and 5 minutes later - "the sector gear is also rusted! What have you been doing?!". I sheepishly responded something about rain and trees and running about holding the damn thing one handed. This less than a year after the gun in question was overhauled. I don't care about being cold and wet, bring it on! But I can't bear the thought of my lovely AEGs suffering the inclement weather and getting damaged. What can I do? Am I overreacting?
  3. Have your kit come in on a rubber dinghy from France. That seems to be a successful import method these days!
  4. THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

Look at THAT! It's got a bipod... AND a grenade launcher? How can this be? Well VLTOR (a real steel company) decided to just get real weird with the concept of bipods, and decided to try mounting legs to the SIDE of a rail system, rather than underneath as has been done since man first crawled out of the primordial soup. The result was the TangoDown RIS Bipod. Being sold here is a good quality (says "A Grade Quality" on my ancient email receipt...) replica of the TangoDown Bipod, in great condition. Even comes with trades for all you coomers out there! Each leg locks into place with a satisfying click and are very sturdy. They also each have 3 lengths of extension. Strong, stable, weird. And (as far as I can see), long out of stock everywhere else. Postage options: - RM Tracked 48 - £4.45 Payment options: - Bank transfer - Paypal (either Friends or Family OR Goods and Services. Your choice, but note that any fees are payable by you.)

  5. I'm out of the loop; which topics are you talking about?
  6. Neither. Use one of these:
  7. Or ≠ instead. Christ though this is one of my pet peeves. Call yourself "official", then undermine your image of "officialness" by being unable to capitalise properly. "UK Airsoft - Official". It's not hard! I don't trust any organisation who are that lazy when titling themselves thus on social media. Really grinds my gears lmao
  8. HELP! I've lost the spring for the top side BB catch thing(?) on one of my PMAGs. Where can I get a replacement?

At the moment I'm thinking "No, I neeeeeed all of them", but I'm a mag down either way, might as well be one of my crappier mags. I am worried that they're not going to fit either though.

I bet £1 they will fit

Try the spring from a lighter.

A gas lighter that has a flint wheel.

  9. Is there a difference between fog on one's eyepro, and moisture on one's eyepro? I never seem to get that type of fog which clears up with sufficient airflow - you know, the type that if it's on a car window, you can write rude words on it with your finger. The "fog" that appears on my eyepro is more akin to moisture - I can see right through it, but my vision is all distorted (so just as crippling).

Am I tackling the wrong problem here? Am I special? Or stupid? I've tried using Fog Stop, Muc-Off anti-fog spray, fan-assisted shooting glasses, and nothing seems to stop this moisture-fog from showing up and needing a wipe.

    It's all so tiresome.

You can't really use too much anti-fog but it only works up to a point.

I drilled lots of holes in my FMA Fast helmet.  Helps a bit but on hotter days I use a baseball cap

As Per Mr Helmet - my Anti Fog fanned goggles are great when it is just the fogging - I also augment them with MuckOff.  The problem arises when my overhanging Neanderbrow gets saturated with sweat and it literally pours down the lenses through contact from the eyebrows.  I have just invested in some headbands to see if it helps at least divert the liquid away.

Matters are not helped by me being overweight, overloaded (full MkiV Osprey kit) and growing my hair long.

I used to have insane fogging issues, tried cat crap, muck off etc but nothing really did the trick properly until I just ended up biting the bullet and getting the full novritsch anti fog setup alongside the rx lens inserts - now I don't even need to coat either my goggles or inserts with anti-fog as the unit on nearly full whack is enough to give me mostly clear vision. Best decision I've ever made - although maybe it's not a one-size fits all affair as I just run a boonie rather than a full helmet (still use a full balaclava though)

  10. I'm confused. Is Matt Roberts (mentioned in the OP) = RAT (Roberts Airsoft Tech)?
  11. No, that's this topic lol. Fascinating thoughts, thank you. That sounds like it would just *work*.
  12. Thanks ChatGPT. I've noticed this account's other posts on this forum are obviously written by a bot, generically replying to whatever the topic is.
  13. Fair point. I didn't want to limit the discussion by saying "no HPA", but I was referring to the concept of, I suppose, liberating the humble AEG gearbox from needing to fit inside an M4 receiver. I should've mentioned that in the OP, my bad. Not sure where I read these, but I'll always remember these general points about AEG gearboxes (if they are correct or not I havent a clue, just going off memory): 1. They are a faff to open, service and repair. 2. They are more complex and have more points of failure than a real firearm. 3. The V2 design has flaws inherent to it, like the box shell cracking (probably far less of a problem nowadays). Thought experiment: what if an ideal AEG gearbox was built first, with no constraints especially to internal volume/shape/etc, and then a gun-shaped housing coming after, rather than how it is now, being the other way round (the gearbox being designed to fit into a. real-steel shaped gun first and foremost).
  14. Imagine if airsofters suddenly became divorced from the desire to have guns look like real firearms. Suddenly, it no longer matters what an AEG looks like, only that it performs as perfectly and consistently as possible. A pure tool for lobbing 6mm plastic BBs up to UK power limits. What would an Automatic Electric Gun liberated from the form-factor of an M4 receiver (or any other real world firearm) look like?
  15. His SEO is insanely good. His content matches the current algorithm zeitgeist to a T. If he wasn't so controversial (both in of himself and in his constant courting of controversy/conflict/confrontation) he could be a positive influence in the hobby, but alas that controversy is also pleasing to the Youtube algorithm. I wonder how much of it is his natural baseline personality and how much of it is just him playing it up because it drives engagement and clicks.
  16. A-are you serious? I don't have to follow or interact with his internet content in any way to observe and draw conclusions from them when it's all public. On your basis anybody in this thread who has observed KM's nonsense (99% of which comes from his own social media) is "a follower" and is somehow contributing to him carrying on. I kinda resent that.
  17. Uh, it's on his public Twitter. Like I mentioned before. It's not a big mystery.
  18. I doubt he is upping sticks every year. Only a fraction of a fraction of the general population knows who he is. And given how much he complains about landlords ("parasites" in his words) and rent and such like, he clearly DOES want to be on the property ladder.
  19. And looking at his Twitter, I'm pretty sure he rents wherever he lives. If one was making that kind of cash, surely getting on the property ladder is a number 1 priority?
  20. You could very well be right, keeping track of all of these shenanigans causes one's brain the blend this and that into a hazy soup filled with indiscretions and the odd hit marker. If anything I think both scenarios are true, post-invasion allowing for bigging up the initial claims (because there probably was at least one Russian trooper who was unwittingly handed a KMCS, which by virtue of being "technically true" can now be used to justify all sorts of PR for the suit.) But if I'm wrong I'm sure @Airsoftn1njawill gladly put me right!
  21. Ah this old chestnut. Yes he is claiming that, but I think this is what happened: The "KMCS" (his ghillie suit system) is made in Russia. When they invaded Ukraine, all Russian exports stopped. Russian mil find a crate of KMs ghillies stuck in customs and decide to commandeer it for the war effort as they are super short on everything and then some. KM is informed of this. He decides to spin it as marketing, claiming that his suit is SO GOOD that it's been made for and issued by the Russian military (which is technically half true, in the same way that bricks painted green have been issued to Russian tank units for use as ERA.) It's harmless PR bullshit upselling at best and dishonest (by giving no context) at worst.
  22. I highly suspect Airsoftn1nja = James Bailey, AKA KickingMustang.
  23. Oh my GOD. James, you are a moron. This thread was practically dead and buried! Why would you bring everyone's attention back to it with this poorly timed and completely unconvincing mess of a post? "I know he does go for painful areas" > This alone is indicative of extremely concerning behaviour. Please, quit the hobby and get help.
