Good points are the long arms (for me they go a little over my gloves), it can fit a larger chest, a chest rig sits happily in the middle, and it happily takes acrylic paint. I use this with a boonie + goggles with custom Hero Shark mesh + a Delta Mike, and all of these have had the above "mesh" etc. added to them. It took me a while, and cost probably as much as a bigger name product to get the shoulder piece and mesh right (I had to kiss a few frogs before finding the right AliExpress items), but I could now knock up some good camo for a cheap price.

You'd be very surprised what's available on Ali Express and how good some of it is, and how easy it is to improve it. When I get home I'll add some links for the benefit of you and others. (For example I use a ghillie shoulder piece, that's almost identical to the Novritsch one, but which is half the price. Also there's mesh available that's almost as good as the Mustang mesh but a third of the price).

Maxx Model M4 hop units come with three unique ones, use the link to a photo I added above, and let us know which one you're using (and you did not get the full three then that's immediately suspect). And this substantial over hopping was with it set to zero / 0 on the dial?

Looking at the M4P-PRO it uses the exact same nubs as the M4A-PRO... https://www.maxxmodel.com/image/cache/catalog/MX-HOP010MP_01-1000x1000.jpg ... the rubber cylinder, soft foam square or the solid concave, so if the OP is still getting too much hop with it set to zero / 0 then there's something very amiss ?

Not 100% the same, as it's an AEG, but I use a Maxx Model M4A-PRO + the solid concave nub + Maple Leaf MR 60 degree bucking + 0.32g BB's and it shoots perfectly with a huge amount of range (and power wise it's almost dead on the 1.14J limit). I've three RIF's with the M4A-PRO in, they all shoot incredibly well, however this hop unit is like an F1 car in that you need to have it setup perfectly to get the best from it (nozzle etc. need to be perfectly matched). I agree as another has said that 70 degree is too hard for the UK. A question for the OP, do your BB's still "shoot straight to the moon" even with zero hop applied?

Not as big a problem as the above, but a LevAR user on Sunday was a little unhappy with it having so many mag release buttons and their placement, all too easy to accidentally press and drop the mag on the floor in the heat of battle.

Do you pick the teams on the day? (I think it's only the full milsim where you sign up to a specific team on the website at the time of purchase?)

I got distracted buying a pistol speed loader and bought two CTM TAC Magazine Extension Plate's for my AAP-01... https://i.imgur.com/ESj7Kpy.jpg ... as I liked the thought of more gas in the mag and a few more BB's. Pretty simple to install... https://i.imgur.com/p712x6p.jpg ... and look good... https://i.imgur.com/DLW0z7y.jpg ... but don't work with the Action Army flared magwell which I had to remove As expected the extra gas made the pistol too hot and added around 0.17J over my usual power using Nuprol 3.0, all good though on Nuprol 2.0.

I'm off work for a few days so the cutting wheel turned up today, and I shat my pants when the sparks started to fly from it cutting the spring ? ? (put on some gloves and safety glasses after that). @ak2m4 I cut just over a coil of an M130 to get my DMR to spot on 1.6J on 0.40g BB's.

... which is a very good thing for them holding their shape / strength, but makes it impossible (at least for me) to cut off a coil. I bent the blades on a pair of snips and took all the teeth off a Dremel cutting wheel trying to do it ? Unless @ak2m4 has a magic trick to doing it I'm stumped (looks like heat won't help as the cutting wheel got the spring lava hot).

I very much doubt that this is related to your problems but using a "full" cylinder with a 300mm length inner barrel will mean that your RIF is waaaaaaaay over volumed (the volume of air pushed out by the piston. Google "airsoft over volume" as you may want to potentially consider changing it.
