I know I have 2. They are both 9mm or .209. But the original ones circa mid 2000 used 12 gauge blank or 9mm with adapter sleeve. Like I said the kid had the 12 gauge explode down his top and it vented over his chest!

Dynatex bfg used to use 12g cartridges. Whatever they used, the kid had black burns radiating from the middle of his chest outwards. He had to go to hospital to get looked at.

I was a Marshall at ground zero when a freak accident happened; a young lad had a 12g bfg land down his draw vest. Many years ago. It exploded and he suffered powder burns to his chest. It wasn’t funny. It was a freak accident which led to 12g being banned across the country believe. Now I love 12g, still gutted you can’t use them anymore but I do understand why they were banned. Imagine if he was blinded.

There are idiots that use these. I was playing along side one couple months back. The guy had shit tons of them and was firing them at groups of attackers on a very flat trajectory and then wondering why they wouldn’t explode…( they were yellow timed ones I believe) I kept telling him not to aim straight at people and to lob them up in the air cuz that would probably give them time to work and not hurt anyone but he wouldn’t listen and kept moaning they were duds… fucking idiot.

Nothing wrong with WE rifles bud. I have two that I skirmish with. Every gbbr has issues that need addressing. The ghk needs fps taming like WE..I’ve had to take a hammer to ghk bolt stop mech to make it work. Bolt deforms and needs re surfacing too. Unlike a WE. Buffer tubes and receivers crack unlike WE. Even TM mws need tweaking. And vfc, not exactly good to go out of box. So….

Unfortunately no one knows everything about anything. Fix it and tell yer mate to move on. There is a saying “ don’t mix business with pleasure” and in airsoft this definitely applies. I know.

Well that’s quite an easy fix I believe. You said the bolt catch isn’t working? The WE bolt catch always fails. The easiest and most probable fix is to put the thinnest aeg gearbox shim either side of the bolt lock pin!! remove the pin, put a small amount of grease either side of the hole on the bolt lock place a shim each side over the hole, and carefully slide the bolt catch back into position then simply slide the pin back in. Job done. the shims stop lateral movement making the bolt catch only move up and down. This is a must mod on ALL WE m4 style platforms. the shop probably didn’t know this. If the catch is broke then a new one is like £15 or summit from milspec solutions dude.

Yeah the boys got a l119 rail on it which makes it even more of a ball ache. It was choice between maple leaf dual adjustment or the ghk; ghk being a good stock component hence the logic of sticking with oem
