Dh mod is generally used in ghk platforms, where the outlet valve is replaced to hold the pressure of liquid CO2. The magazine can then be filled using something like a sodastream bottle. This is supposed to be 1. cost effective 2. usable all year round but can wear stock fcg, bolts, bolt stops fast. Has also been known to eventually blow you spring etc out the end of the buffer tube/ receiver extension!!

Not trying to start (another) argument, but I was looking at the nuance between 47 & 74 gas blocks the other day. What I noticed is that the Tm akm gas block looks , well … wrong? They seem to have straightened it. Traditional 47 has a curved front to the 45 degree sweep, as opposed to the 90 degree 74. Anyone else noticed this?

And of course you get 3 spare correct magazines in the price. hmmm starting to convince my self I need this…..

Ak 101. although early model 74 look strikingly similar to the akm, in that they both have fixed stock and wooden furniture; apart from chambering different rounds, the main visual ‘tell’ is the gas block: Ak47 have a distinctive curve whereas the 74 has more of a vertical stature. this being the pmc akm, I would quite easily see someone buying this and selling the five 74 mags and the furniture and gas tube for say £275. And setting it back in pic mode, leaving them with a perfectly respectably upgrade rif for £325. don’t sound like too bad a deal when you break it down? Yeah yeah why don’t I but it? Ghk baby….

Dunno about that…. Had one years ago: gearbox was very “twangy “, trigger was mushy, annoyingly the bolt cover used to flop around letting debris get in. Took it apart to fiddle with it and ultimately put it in the bin. Very disappointed. Cheap and nasty rif.

Any rif can be upgraded. Had a cyma which could hit a person at 75yards with good success rates. but as OP asked, out of the box TM hands down.

Best out of the box rif I ever owned was the TM m14. Decent length inner barrel and great hop set up. Do it. Dooo iiit!

That’s good to hear, I think it’s just a shame that they try to make everything proprietary. Does that weird ‘receiver extension’ come off? Or is it going to make stock changes impossible?

I had some issues charging the gas but I think I’ve figured it out now. so, when I watched your review I got the distinct impression you were as you said ‘ disappointed… but I guess since me posting that you changed your mind like a fanboy and had to correct me. Did you see badabings review? He definitely was not impressed with the performance. I’m betting he’ll be like the majority or gbb Ak owners n stick with our ghk s. from what I’ve seen of the stock end of the receiver too; someone’s gonna have to perform a surgical miracle to get wood on that , up in this bitch.

Absolute nonsense. So you ignored the ghk part and focused on the We? WE m4 are probably the most customisable and modifiable out there. I have ghk akm and ghk m4 as well as a WE m4 variant and While ghk are good rifs they are both off spec and the m4 recoil is like a pussy cat compared to the stock we buffer and spring. also if they are that dire, why you got 4 ? Duhhhh. But Thanks for sharing.

Downsides? hoopty engraving on the left side, making certain mods look unrealistic? Also does the pistol grip/ motor limit you for choice like a ptw? also I presume you are limited my choice of ‘battery’ stocks. starts getting unrealistic when you look a bit closer I think. My ghks And WE rifs any day….
