  1. As there's always one, what page is make the same shit jokes you make every week that nobody but you find funny?
  2. Unfortunately I know very little about what my Grandparents did in the war. What I do know is that on my fathers side my grandad was in the Navy and was on HMS Warwick when she was Torpedoed off the coast of Cornwall in February 1944. On my mother's side my grandfather was an engineer at RAF Speke (now Liverpool John Lennon Airport) so wasn't drafted as it was a reserved occupation. As I understand it he was involved in building Blenheims and Halifax bombers. While my grandmother worked on the telephone switchboards for the fire brigade.
  3. All this talk of ww2 german uniforms has reminded me of something I overheard at a game last month. There was a someone playing in a vague attempt at a ww2 German loadout with a swastika on his helmet and double lightning bolt patches on his collar. While I thought it was a a bit silly, its what some other kid said that made me think WTF? While stood around waiting for the game briefing he called it a loadout of the bad guys from Call of Duty*. All I could think what are kids being taught in schools these days that they don't recognise symbols of a regime guilty of one of the worst acts of genocide in the past 100 years? *I'm paraphrasing here as he sounded like someone had ordered Ali G from wish.com
  4. A few years ago there was a site which was using shemaghs for team ID and one of the the shitrag papers (either the scum or the daily heil)got hold of photos. They claimed that players were cosplaying terrorists. I'll post links if I can find them
  5. How many of those robberies involved a threat of violence compared to bag snatches or pick pockets? Every time I've traveled to continental Europe they were the biggest risk. What was it which made you feel unsafe in these cities? That's a straw man argument I think staff and students of Osaka Kyoiku University would disagree (8 dead, 20 wounded in a knife attack) What do you think should be done to reduce the number of mass shootings in the US? This. Anyone trying to convince you otherwise is either deliberately trying to deceive you, don't understand the science or both
  6. Not sure the display case warrants that price considering the shotgun goes for about £60 new
  7. Just seen this on the Tiger111hk faceache page. It appears Cyma are releasing gbb rifles
  8. You beat me to it (more childish giggles at beat me) I might have some sig high caps in the shed you're welcome to, I'm not sure how many of them work though
  9. As above, it looks like a KAC PDW. If the crack can't be fixed with super glue then the only other option is to replace the whole gun. Iirc the PDW is one of the more budget friendly models coming in at under £100
  10. The cold war is a very bad example of the point you're trying (and failing) to make. Both sides were in an arms race as they both considered the other side to be wanting to wipe them out. As for your question about why wouldn't they use it, why would they go through the extra hassle of getting a gun when a knife can be bought for a fraction of the price and will have the same effect on the victim, whether that's making them comply or putting a hole in them
  11. You do realise that law abiding citizens carrying guns isn't the deterrent you think it is. Infact it's going to make the criminal more likely to carry and use a gun in crimes
  12. I'd say both. They know exactly what they're doing and are only doing it for a reaction so can play the internet big man later, complaining about how snowflakes are upset by a bit of cloth. Imo the best way to deal with them is make sure the only attention they get is from a few extra bbs (especially to the more sensitive body parts). They're nothing more than attention whores who thrive on creating drama
  13. Since sports direct took over karrimor I'd avoid using their kit for anything more than a trip to the shops. They've gone from being a decent respectable brand to cheaply made tat which will fall apart if you just look at it funny. The same goes for mountain warehouse. I picked up a pair of their boots a couple of months ago and they started to split in 2 weeks. When I took them back the woman behind the counter said she wouldn't touch any of the footwear they sell
  14. Also known as idiots. A quick google search shows Sig pistol cases can be easily bought new for half his asking price
  15. Have I missed something or is he really wanting £30 for a plastic box?
  16. https://preppersshop.co.uk/wellco-peruana-us-military-combat-jungle-boots---brand-new-68308-p.asp?_=&variantid=68642&gclid=CjwKCAjwvJyjBhApEiwAWz2nLcpxWDh3VUopBiT6f2VkL1Z4lsq3A-bxCLUAnVfaAKRN6AGNr5QahBoC8EUQAvD_BwE Just don't you lot go buying them all before I get paid at the end of the week
  17. Fair enough. Maybe there should be such a thing as an airsoft licence, but that would involve getting the civil service to actually do something
  18. True, but for many the realistic look of the guns is part of the appeal of airsoft over other similar games True but I can only go on the information available. However from what limited exposure I've had to reenactors they tend to take it far more seriously than even the most stitch counting airsofters. Also I thought reenactors also have to be part of an official group to be able to buy rifs Couldn't agree more.
  19. I was thinking worst case senario hence the word potential. While you're right in that it's the reenactment defence which is being abused, its airsofters who are abusing it. Also, unlike reenactment, airsoft is only mentioned in the accompanying notes not the act itself so it would be easier to remove our defence. What really gets me about the whole justcos bullshit though is that IIRC airsoftworld made a big song and dance about how they were a big part of the discussions with the HO before the act came in and now seem to be trying to get around it at every opportunity possible. Unfortunately though I get the feeling it'll only disappear if someone ends up in court and loose which would probably have other negative consequences for the game
  20. One problem I've noticed with plate carriers is that they can lead to people not feeling hits and then accusations of cheating. Something like an assault vest or chest rig will help prevent this. Another possible issue is weight. Plate carriers tend to be heavier than other types of load carrying kit (even without plates) so might not be suitable for a 10 year old
  21. While ukara certainly has its flaws imo its the best of a bad bunch. Some of the other so called defences are quite frankly taking the piss as you can sign up for them without ever playing or intending to. This has the potential for us to loose our defence (which was given on the idea we would be self policing) as all that would be needed is for a MP who is wanting to make a name for themselves or need a distraction to latch onto how a bunch of gun nut potential serial killers (because that's exactly how airsofters will be portrayed) are circumventing the law and bang goes our defence
  22. This meme is useful for many things, whether it's bb weights, gas pressure or the Geneva convention
  23. I'd put one on one the porch roof for next time the jehovah's witnesses come knocking
  24. I've seen them go for anywhere between £50 and £100 with most places around £85
