I was thinking leave the mats hanging loose at the bottom to allow some movement, but the car mats sounds like a better idea. They'll take far more abuse before failing
-
I'm guessing site owners and insurers wouldn't allow it due to the increased fire risk. Yes disposable pyro and BFGs can and have started small fires on sites, but when something sends sparks out over a bigger area that risk increases
-
I would think you'd want the strips as wide as possible to absorb the impact with them moving as little as possible, especially if you're firing bursts

Very nice, I've been looking at doing something similar, even down to using yoga mats for the backstop

This is a common rule with halls of residence and as frustrating as it is, I can understand why it's done

My girlfriend said she'd leave me if I didn't stop making bird puns Well toucan play that game

Low power ‘hit’ - bounce or direct hit?
Cannonfodder replied to ParHunter's topic in General Discussion
I find that often the ones who cheat call the most are the ones who need a few extra shots to encourage them to call the hit. -

Claims only the Laylax shop have it in stock but 10 seconds on google shows patrol base also have it in stock for half what he wants -
I had the same problem my ICS MP5SD5. They never seemed to be held in place very tightly so I went through a couple of replacement sets in the 6 months or so I owned it. Mind you this was over 10 years ago and I don't know if they changed the design since

Welcome back. As others have posted not much has changed since pre covid days What's the Honey Badger like? I've heard it's a pile of crap 😁 I can understand why sites have stuck with pre-booking as it makes setting up for the day a bit less stressful as sites have a clearer idea of the numbers so can plan games around it. I'm sure everyone's regular site has games which work really well with the right numbers, but go to shit if numbers are too high or low.

Looking for AEG Tech around Herts/cambs/Beds
Cannonfodder replied to neekgate's topic in Recommend a Tech
As above. IIRC airsoft monkey is the tech Combat UK use so you won't need to take the poorly gun far -
There's also the grin factor. GBB pistols are way more fun to shoot. Do you find yourself in situations where a pistol is needed often, eg tight spaces where moving with a rifle is difficult? If not then you might find it more beneficial to carry something which will be more useful like a pouch with an extra mag (plus it'll be easier on the wallet). Let's face it, the majority of airsofter's pistols spent 99% of the game sat in a holster.

Fixed. If its only fired 300 shots before shitting the bed then it needs to go back (assuming the OP hasn't done anything to void warranty, eg opening up the gearbox)

What gets longer when you jerk it, fits between boobs, slides into a hole and loves to be pulled? A seatbelt you pervert
-
That's what I heard although I don't know how true it is. Makes sense though Mind you, there is part of me that thinks if you're dumb enough to use airsoft parts on the pressure bearing bits of a real firearm then you deserve what you get

I'm guessing 2 reasons. 1, he's delusional about how much it's worth. 2, lazyness as it would involve some effort -

Going by the scratches and black tape on the fore grip of the AK they must've been some rough 5/6 games -
Welcome Electric pistols tend to be more reliable than gas ones, especially in colder weather, but are usually underpowered compared to the gbb ones with them firing at 220 - 240fps.

So that's a grand for 2 fucked guns, a pistol and a load of generic unbranded kit. Definitely a dreamer -

According to the raffle site if the seller doesn't deliver you get 75% of the money from ticket sales. Still dodgy as a £9 note though -

What you're paying for when buying new is the piece of mind that if it shits the bed after half a mag you can get a refund or replacement for easier Not sure what it is about this but it gets my spidey senses tingling. https://raffall.com/343054/enter-raffle-to-win-l129a1-dmr-hosted-by-sbs-armouries?fbclid=IwAR3LK13fbE-rl8ozEVBDou590XvuFJ-BibsWCxeVkuWXrZUsrkOjWbpkluo -

Low power ‘hit’ - bounce or direct hit?
Cannonfodder replied to ParHunter's topic in General Discussion
Nobody said you are, although I'm sure that's what someone who doesn't call their hits would say 😁 As others have posted, if in doubt just call it. You're only going to be out of the game for as long as it takes to walk to respawn. Just because a shot feels like it doesn't have much power behind it or comes from an unexpected angle doesn't mean it's a ricochet. A sniper or sneaky player could've gotten into a position where they can put fire down from another angle and you assuming the shot was a ricochet is almost asking to be shot again, often to a more sensitive bodypart and/or with a longer burst -
Welcome back to the madness Not much has changed since 2006, the main things being the VCRA coming into law in 2007 (see threads on the vcra and ukara as I really can't be arsed to go into detail here) and more people are moving to lipo batteries. Chinese companies are still knocking out cheap (not as cheap as in 06 unfortunately) copies of high end guns with varying degrees of quality control Now that's a rare pistol these days
