  1. Yes I am and I will. The thing is that those who don't like this hobby aren't going to suddenly change their mind based on what we call our kit, so why bother trying to appease them as it won't change a thing
  2. Speak for yourself. They're airsoft guns so I'm happy to shorten that to guns. If others don't like it and are upset by 3 letters then that's their problem.
  3. Unless the buyer has asked if I mind waiting a few days then I would expect payment that day. Quite frankly waiting 5 days is taking the piss especially with zero comms.
  4. Same here. When the ai500 was announced my thoughts were that the site looked great but I knew ai would fuck it up "It's been played before now it's time to play it properly with vastly reduced numbers, carefully planned cover between buildings and lead by a professional team" Bloody hell that's a not so subtle dig???
  5. Definitely switch to heavier bbs if you're playing outdoors, the lightest I'd go is .28g. Leave the. 2s for CQB where IMO they're a better choice Joule creep is definitely a thing, although it affects gas guns (especially nbb) more than AEGs or springers. For AEGs I wouldn't be worried if they're not already close to site limits but for gas guns I'd be wanting to be a little more cautious. Unfortunately the only way to be 100% sure is to try it
  6. With the cost of living going up some players are going to be spending less so sites will have less income while running costs increase. Add to this land owners seeing a better return on another use or redevelopment (especially CQB sites) and tbh I'm not surprised we're losing sites. This. I know I've had sites described as both and found then to be the opposite which is why I recommend trying as many different sites where possible
  7. That hpa engine could be interesting, but as its ares and the first production run I'll leave it till any faults or problems have been found
  8. At the lhe last couple of CQB games I found that my plate carrier was getting in the way when drawing my pistol from the hip so I picked up a drop leg platform. It arrived today and from just setting it up and getting the fit right I'm impressed. Unlike other drop leg holsters I've had in the past this one doesn't flap around when moving but the real test will come on my next gameday
  9. Would a McDonalds happy meal do?
  10. Same here. That and finding a holster for a P99 is hard enough without a light attached
  11. No problems for me on chrome on my phone
  12. Even with those numbers my earlier post still stands
  13. Any upgrade which ups the muzzle energy is going to add more stress to parts, whether it's enough to cause a failure is the question. If stock parts have broken under normal use then I wouldn't be surprised if one upgrade then makes another necessary till you've basically replaced everything. By that point you might as well have just bought something better
  14. Bloody hell. If they're the cheaper option how much are cryes?
  15. I'm not sure the new rules have anything to do with the new members spamming the forum with adverts. We seem to get a wave of them every few months
  16. Glad I missed it then. As I don't get to play as often as I used to this is one thing which really annoys me. I've paid to play not sit on my arse.
  17. This. Airsoft is at least 50% a tactical fashion show, whether it's a stitch perfect impression or a more personalised loadout we all secretly want to look the part when slinging plastic at each other. I know that while I tailor my gear to what's practical and works for me there's always the aesthetics that come into play
  18. I thought the school holidays were over
  19. And it's gone. Ebay seem to be pretty quick to bin rif sales. "Isn't fully functional" That's putting it mildly considering it won't cycle
  20. Agreed. Fortunately these people are the minority and are easily identified do can be avoided or laughed at depending on your mood.
  21. Never played there but I heard the site had potential but was poorly run (not surprising if the school was anything to go by)
  22. Welcome. There's quite a few of us on here on the older side. I agree renting till you get site membership means when you do get your first gun you'll have a better idea of wait suits you, eg I prefer shorter carbines and SMGs. I recommend getting some gloves too as shots to the hands bloody hurt As other have posted most airsofters are more than happy to chat about and show off their kit. The hard part is getting us to shut up about it?. Also definitely try as many sites as you can. I swear this hobby attracts the neurospicy almost as much as trains
