  1. They're a lot of fun, and although I've not taken mine out to skirmish, have taken it to the range a lot. Completely stock and on green gas, it lifts .28s and .3s out as far as my MWS. For CQB I reckon it'd be awesome. As I don't use it for gameplay though, I'll be selling it to someone who will, but I don't regret buying it.
  2. I get the temptation, especially given the supply problems we've had over the last 12 months or so, but yeah, for guns I try to stick to UK retailers. Gear on the other hand 👀

Love my MP7 but never use it, so eyes on the classifieds as it'll be there soon!

Pretty sure that most of us on here use green gas, so even straight out the box it'll run just fine. Getting a few spares is not a bad idea, but not essential straightaway, and TM original parts are great. The only reason I have a few Guns Modify spares (springs mainly) is due to the lack of availability of TM parts.
  5. I've got a few pairs of various Magnums, but haven't worn any of them for airsoft. They just seem too flimsy, lacking decent ankle support and I question their ability to keep water out, despite being Gore-Tex. Thankfully I didn't have to pay for them. At the moment I wear Haix hi-legs, which are well broken in, very comfortable and great for keeping your feet dry. However, they are becoming pretty work down on the sole, so I'm actually going to have to part with cash for a replacement. Looking at Lowa, Altberg and Salomons at the moment. As @Lozartsays, most important thing is actually trying them on before buying, and don't underestimate the worth of a decent pair of natural-fibre socks.

Apart from externals, listen to @Wavey_Gravey Sound advice
  7. I can't understand why TM haven't dropped their MWS mags into a P-Mag or E-Mag shell. Maybe one day. Think I'll pick up some of the GM ones and grab myself some addition o-rings!
  8. Appreciate that @SBoardley Still very tempted. I was looking at the European retailers, as the mags are quite a bit cheaper, but the postage charges are nuts.
  9. As it turns out, we ended up in Wales as one of the lads lives over that way. He knew a local site owner (can't remember the name but Christ there were some steep hills!) and we had a cracking day at a private game. It was 5 v 5 for the most part, which sounds awful but was actually awesome. Still going to be looking to get out further afield so appreciate any recommendations. Cheers.
  10. I think I'd just got lured into a false sense of security with the Platatac orders, as it's the first time one of their orders has been stopped. I've had some customs charges for larger items (RIFs etc) from Taiwan and Europe, but been lucky with parts and clothing. I'm not overly fussed about the charge to be honest. I'm just grateful that the package appeared unopened and undamaged, unlike the brain donors who opened a package from Powair 6 last year and seemed to have used it as a football or marital aid, going off the state of it when I received it.
  11. Belated birthday present from my wife arrived earlier this week; another set of Platatac Dax 4, this time in Rhodesian Brushstroke, and a tigerstripe boonie. As usual, the quality from Platatac is outstanding. Looking forward to giving both a run out soon. Not quite sure what to match with the Rhodey trousers, but MCB is probably favourite. Service from Plat over Christmas was great again, but the £40+ Custom's charge was unexpected. Maybe I just got lucky on my other orders, as I've never had to pay one before. Hey ho, still well happy.
  12. Which retailer did you get yours from, if you don't mind me asking?
  13. As if by magic, here's the breakdown on a delivery I've just received from Platatac. Despite this being a third or fourth order from them, it's the only time I've paid a Custom's charge.
  14. Somebody more enlightened than me may have more information, but I think it's based on the VAT value of whatever you're bringing into the country, and a handling fee.
  15. I used them a few years ago, buying a KWA Ronin TK45c when they'd just been released. From what I remember the service from Taiwan was decent (a couple of weeks) but, despite the price of the gun seeming to be a bargain, the £96 customs charge meant I could've bought from a UK seller quicker and cheaper.
  16. I'm sure it'll turn out fine, and probably look even better when there are a few nicks and wear marks in the paint. We'll need progress phots...
  17. That's good enough for me pal. I'll get some ordered. Might have a skeg for the KWA mags too. Hope your lad's gun isn't beyond salvage.
  18. I've just ordered my son a Specna Arms M4 (E03 Edge) and wondered if anyone knows what their mag compatibility is like? I'm pretty sure I've seen a thread on the forum but can't seem to find it, so apologies if I'm asking for old info. I use the PTS EPM mags in my TM Recoil, and like them a lot. Just wondered if the standard versions (not EPM 1) would fit and feed the Specna.
  19. Be interested hearing the responses as I'm contemplating a few myself.
  20. Snap! Took me ages to find a bog standard, metal and wood AK47, and although I've only skirmished it once, it comes with me everytime as back up. One gun I'll never get rid of.
  21. Pretty sure you're not an airsofter until you've told your gun to fuck off...but yeah, we love it!
  22. Tbf ive had no problem with PB, but I only use them for cheap gear for my son (funnily enough a set of 8 Fields body armour.) I'd never use them for RIFs. Too many horror stories. Pisser about Weapon762. Anything on Ali Express?
  23. Have you looked at the TMC stuff on Weapon762? Might be something on there.
