  1. Don’t forget the customs charge and of course that parcelforce handling fee of £12 on top. I may wait till Black Friday now. May get some more discounts especially if it’s $169 for a complete bolt. Thanks for the heads up the different sizes that’s good to know.
  2. I’ve been reading up this morning as a matter of fact. Cheapest way is to get the G&P drop in nozzle set which should fit into the stock Marui bolt. But then I’m thinking I may as well get the complete G&P bolt carrier group. It’s all built for you so just simply drop it in. Decisions, decisions.... Also perhaps a G&P 3.5 nozzle valve kit too perhaps ?
  3. Would you have any links to these? I assume I can just drop one of these units into the Marui bolt carrier itself or are these complete BCGs?
  4. Good grief.... it's got every upgrade under the bonnet there! But realistically a lot of that is not needed... Just a SIxG nub, a Modify Tan bucking.... and the barrel which may add about 5fps... A lot of 3rd party components may not have the same tolerances as the original stock Marui and hence lead to inconsistencies in behaviour... At least he's been honest about the crack so fair dues.... I wonder how that was caused? Possibly by the way the rail was installed or perhaps by the rail itself when opening the receiver so banging the rail onto the receiver... Either way it's sucks! A lower receiver is approx £150 and sourcing one is like rocking horse poop!
  5. What did you replace it with May I ask?
  6. Is this the famous bucking everyone is larking on about. The package doesn’t say MWS so wanted to be sure. Part number is GB-05-62
  7. Anyone used the Angry Gun nozzle in their MWS? If so any reviews on it? In fact has anyone used any other nozzle than the stock Marui?
  8. Here’s a thought. Take it all apart again and video it
  9. I know TRH very well and his review was one of the first that’s for sure. I’d go HAO each and every time over any other kit eventhough AG was first to market.
  10. @Marroksteel I’m not a big fan of the 50 shades of tan but that HAO kit sure looks very Gucci. I believe you’ll be one of the early adopters of this kit too as it’s not been out long. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the build and whether it was pain free etc. And more importantly how does it look, handle and feel. Also, why are the mags a tad different? They have that extended plastic parts showing? Did they come with the HAO kit?
  11. OMG there was grit and sand in the trigger assembly? What was the previous owner doing? Making sand castles with it? The Mk18 will be circa around the £549 according to defconairsoft... I'm sure you can get a barrel extender kit but then why do it? You might as well get the MTR? Ok, it's not a real life gun but ditch the stock snd replace it with a CTR to make it look better... Regarding the mags, there is a massive global shortage... even some of the usual Japanese suspects are showing out of stock.... that's on their 'English' websites though.... Firesupport had about 35 in and they all went within less than a week. They were capped to a max of 4 per customer though... Probably worth giving them a call and asking if they will get any more in. Same with the AK...
  12. Whichever one you go for, just don't use Nuprol RZR bbs like I did and bugger up the gun... Thankfully it's an easy fix costing £30 for the nozzle and £10 for a new hop rubber... but still that's beer money used up! One point to consider, how easy is it to get hold of the AK MWS mags? I'm sure when the AK is released they may be available from the usual sources but you never know.... Also let's face it, that MK18 looks the dogs danglies.... Nothing to worry about it.... just press the bolt stop and release the mag.... I'm sure mine did the same too when it was working.... the MWS is not like a namby pamby AEG. This is a real mans gun who has hairy fingers and bigger muscles in their fingers... ?
  13. The potential problem with after market parts / third party parts is that even though they claim to be 100% compatible with a platform they may not necessarily be in real life. What happens when you use the original Marui parts?
  14. Interesting..... I wonder if that will work with the Marui receiver?
  15. I should have used my Geoff’s 0.3! Oh well. Hey ho. I’ll get a new nozzle and a new bucking. Do you have any available? If so let me know and I’ll grab them off you. By the way does my existing nozzle looked shagged ?
  16. Hi Dave, I’ve just got home now so I’ll take it apart. But first need to look at some online videos ?. Roll on eagle6. I was using Nuprol RZR 0.28s so I’m wondering if a bad bb caused the jam. Let me also take a pic of the nozzle and I’ll post that up. Hope I’ve not damaged it.
  17. Well mixed feelings! The mws performed amazing for an hr until it stopped firing. Tired another mag and still nothing. Then gas came shooting out the breach. Turns out 6 to 7 bbs got jammed in the barrel. No idea how. There was chopped plastic everywhere . I used a cleaning rod to push them out. Cleaned the barrel. Put it back together. Tried it. It shoots about 10m and the bbs arc downwards. I expect the hop rubber is shagged to bits. No idea really truth be told. Also I’ve no idea how much damage I may have caused. Any advice appreciated.
  18. Hop adjustment question guys. When looking at the hop through the mag well with the barrel pointing to the left to increase the hop you turn the wheel in the opposite direction ie towards the right towards the stock end yeah ?
  19. First game with the MWS tomorrow. I confess I'm excited to be using my first ever GBBR. Will take 3 RIFS with me though as the days games are all different.

  20. Chaps, will this Element valve key work fine with the MWS mags? https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/element-valve-key-for-marui-gas-guns
  21. Weather is saying 14c for Sunday. Damn that’s cold! Guess autumn is finally upon us. Abbey ultra predator gas should be fine I assume? On a bb loading note, I’ve just got a Marui XL speed loader come in today. It’s still kinda tough loading the mags. That spring is one tough mother that’s for sure. Is that what people are generally using to load their mags?
  22. I only play woodland so more time to reload under cover etc I guess but 5 mags is an odd number. Better buy another to make it even as my vest has 6 pouches ? Edit: Just checked it has 10 pouches! ?
  23. If you've had your mags for 2 months they will be the type 2 new mag so will hold more gas than the original mags so my take on this is that the green gas mod isn't needed....
  24. I was watching Bada Bing (yet again) and he says he exclusively runs propane (as does my BBQ). I suddenly thought ain't that a bit dangerous running around with propane filled mags? Then again all airsoft gases are similar I expect.. It's not as if you're gonna chuck a mag into a bonfire now are we? So how many mags do people actually run around with? I have 5 in total now. Bagged 4 from FS this week... Is that enough? I accept the MWS mindset is a different playing style which will need adapting to so potentially mag bb and gas refills during a game (something which I'd normally do during a return to the safe zone)...
