Kinda did a thing........ well last weekend as a matter of fact.... the box mag looks gangsta though 😁 -
So this guy has this TM delta for sale. He wants £850 for it. The same gun was on sale previously for £525. He did a px for something this guy had and paid cash to make up the diff. Now this guy is selling the same gun for £300 more. Here are the results. You can see how hot the G&P bolt (left side) is running compared to the stock Marui (right side). As I said the gas used was Abbey Ultra Predator gas. Geoffs Super Precision 0.3s and Excel 0.2s were used. Ill have a go with the normal Abbey green gas tomorrow and post up. I’ll get round to updating the excel too when I get a moment.

Oh my God! I just put two mags through my G&P bolt! It’s how can I put it eloquently running as hot as Mount Etna during a heat wave! I’ll update the spreadsheet in a bit. Basically I used Geoff’s 0.3 shooting 20 bbs with both the G&P bolt and then with the Marui bolt. Each time I made sure the mag was full of gas. The temperature was an ambient 20c. Then I switched to 0.2 Excel bbs ( hard as nails but old) and again quite surprised. So four tests done. The bottom line is the G&P bolt is running way too hot! The gas used was Abbey Ultra Predator gas in the red can even though it’s a green gas!

They do have an odd odour I must say so..... I’m actually thinking of getting an Evo as a matter of fact as a back up which I can carry strapped to my back when I can’t DMR... -
Equally he may have ran out of bbs or he could have had a jam or he could have been a crap shot. All is fair in love and war. Only one bb hit would be needed. He can’t complain. But I get being nice to younger players. I do the same.

This happened to me last weekend come to think of it other than looking for a lost mag (that was my mate's boy... bless him).... stop shooting I'm dead... oops sorry mate we didn't see your hand.... no worries... I'm getting too old for this shit...! But yes, over shooting can sour the day... totally agree there...

Oh come on that's just too 'Carry On', you got to give it to him he had balls or maybe was using an invisibility spell and none of the opposing team saw him walking towards them..... If you don't have your hand up when walking through a live arena you're a target... it's simple. Goodness it's happened to me when I've been shot and I've not had my hand up coz it's get too tiring sometimes.... Why didn't someone from the opposing team just shoot him once? Coz maybe they didn't see him? Ergo, they wouldn't have known if he was alive or dead...? So he took his chances... Is it going against the spirit of the game.....? Was he dishonest? Dunno... Come to think of it.... it's too funny..... buy him a beer! lol

That actually is me as a matter of fact lol But yeah,I reckon this is the best MWS forum thread outside of Japan. We have one Japanese member on here too but I don’t think he’s posted much. Anyway we are digressing. Oh a few years ago I did a three week road trip of CA. Went to Miramar airforce base for their annual air show. Omg that was insane. Also stayed near Coronado and saw Navy Seals doing night exercises on the water. It doesn’t get any real then that!!!

It’s like 7-10c here during the day time at the moment. A tad colder than CA 😂. Of course any chrono tests I do I have to do indoors at 20c. Yup that’s the ambient temp in my house lol

Great write up @ajumma, I'm pleased someone was able to road test it.... I'll stick mine into my CQBR at the weekend and see how it performs using a stock Marui bucking and a prometheus inner barrel... I'll measure the decibels too and see what the difference in sound level is between the Marui and the G&P if anyone is interested in that metric... By the way, what brand of gas are you using ?

I’ve no idea. I haven’t even thought to deeply about the G&P design of the bolt. In fact I’ve not even installed it as of yet.

That’s a good point about cutting the syphon tube cleanly and of course removing the valve to prevent any debris contamination. Regarding the bbs, I was under the impression that BLS, Geoff’s and Longbow share the same OEM. I’m not sure what the difference in Geoff’s precision vs super precision is though.

Vortex Strike Eagle added. Damn this optic is good. I mean real good. Plonked it on top of a Vortex 2” offset cantilever mount. Quality kit. Period. Now I can see what I’m shooting at. Whether I hit anything is another matter 😂

I like your scientific method of testing and recording the results... it's quite an eye opener and will for sure lend to much debate going forward... well it should In terms of BB's which brand are you using? I assume there is no variation in the brand yeah? Regarding the AG MPA nozzle, yeah that valve does look a tad suspect (blue loctite or not)... it definitely needs replacing as you said you used a RA tech valve. I've yet to do the green gas mod on any of my V2 mags... I believe the metal tubes inside are now glued on so have to be cut down... (thanks Marui)! cheers

Doesn’t the AG nozzle already have an adjustable valve? So why do you need the RA tech one? Also regarding the XL, what happened on the 7th Oct to give you the higher FPS readings? Also more interesting is the variance difference in all tests. I assume that’s the diff between a full mag and gas empty mag?

Which colour you going for? I was thinking getting one too but will wait for your feedback. It’s gonna be superior though we all know that. I assume you just drop in the Marui compression parts Nozzle etc and voila? I have a spare G&P nozzle set which I could chuck into one just to see how it performs. I’d probably get the tan colour myself just to differentiate the HAO bolt from the marui or the other spare G&P bolt 🤷🏻♂️
