  1. The modify tan still seems to be the rubber of choice... I have it in mine too... although the original Marui in my opinion is better wearing... would be interesting to hear others opinions....
  2. Is that for an Action Man? ?
  3. All these variants is enough to do ones head in sometimes lol. Look forward to the pics fella
  4. Don't use any cheapie QD's.... I wouldn't risk my MWS with them... Fire Support sell the PTS ones... they are pucker... (same as Magpul ones as a matter of fact but 1 inch buckle as opposed to Magpul 1.25") https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/pts-1-qd-sling-swivel Oh the buffer tube will not snap! Unless you sit on it
  5. Here's a thought, with an after market Magpul clone, one may need to be careful with the QD points on the stock perhaps? Are they strong enough to swing a sling off? At least with a real CTR the QD point is rock solid and you can swing anything off it so not worry about your gun dropping off the sling. Also this SLK design I'm sure would have had a lot of input/feedback from real world operators no doubt for it to have been manufactured..... It still looks too PTS to me..... but until I see one for real I'll reserve judgement
  6. Talking of Magpul CTRs I believe this is the successor to it. The SLK. And no it’s not Merc inspired ? To be honest I’m not really feeling it! It doesn’t have the same wow feel as the CTR design does in my opinion. Of course I’ve not seen one in hand yet so that may change. Has anyone on here grabbed one yet?
  7. Cheers matey and thank you for making my bank balance potentially £80 lighter and also the cost of the AW drum mag lighter too what ever that costs lol
  8. Mine's the CQB version so the sling mount was already attached. And yes you do need to twist a number of times..... it's somewhere on this thread. Here's a thought, the easiest way I guess is to mark the buffer tube with some white dots and use that as a reference when you screw the buffer back on with the sling plate... It may be trail and error but its probably takes the guess work out. Or just count the number of twists when you remove it... simple really
  9. Crikey that was totally bonkers.... Insane.. damn this thread! Now that itch needs to be scratched..... bollocks
  10. It does look nice especially if you have the Magpul grip too. There is a little side to side movement but nothing to worry about. If you’re OCD about that then a little electrical tape on the buffer should fix it.
  11. I run a mil spec CTR on mine....the friction lock engages nicely too. Rear sling mount > well its whatever you fancy really. Mine has the Marui CQBR/MK18 sling plate. Angry gun also does the same.. You can also get QD sling plates... There really is a lot of choice.
  12. You actually do have a point..... With a magpul grip you no longer have that finger rest and even I with my manly hands find it a tad uncomfortable... but a pair of tactical mitts sorts it out... Alternatively a bit of Sugru will do it...
  13. No I know an AEG doesn’t have a realistic trigger. I wasn’t trying to say that I was merely pointing out my recoil has a hairline trigger. Granted I’ve never fired a real AR let alone a real gun which is why I don’t get the fuss about trigger. To me it seems fine. Normal almost. I guess coz I don’t have a reference to compare it to it’s difficult for me to judge. Am I making sense or taking complete rubbish?
  14. Good man.... once you get the TDC and the H-plate she will lift a baby elephant 60m
  15. I honestly don't understand the whole 'why you need to change the trigger box parts' to make the trigger more efficient. To me it's fine the way it is... I've seen Badabing mention it, Redwolf and a few others but I really don't get it.... I pull the trigger, it fires.... I release my finger.. I pull the trigger again and so on... I mean what am I missing here? The so called reset? It's a GBBR not a NGRS with a Gate Titan... Maybe I'm being totally blonde here (no offence to any blondies) but what gives.... and no I'm not asking for a friend ?
  16. That’s actually a good idea carrying a spare BCG for that ‘just in case’ moment. And the nozzle spring is the weakest link let’s face it.
  17. TM ones are like rocking horse poop..... you won't easily find them... I have a spare G&P one in case my Marui one goes pop... In fact Eagle6 makes their own version of the MGG2-121 (that's the part number)... I wasn't aware of that until just now....only £10!! perfect https://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/6343/s/eaglesix-bcg-nozzle-return-spring-for-tm-m4-mws-gbbr/
  18. @gunbod007the MWS can take black gas.... you should see how much they power these up stateside.... it's well scary!!! You will need an NPAS to regulate the power though and like I said earlier the nozzle spring is the weakest link and that will go at some point depending on it's abuse... On my last game I only used Abbey Ultra Predator and the gun rocked... mind you that was Aug time so the sun was still kinda here and I believe the temp was about 15-18c 1. G&P adjustable power nozzle valve 2. RATech NPAS 3. Angry Gun adjustable nozzle 4. DIY NPAS (someone here made one and it's in this thread somewhere) Oh TM pistols and plastic slides and black gas is a NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOO
  19. Just saw this pop up on my Marui feed.. don’t know what to make of the ‘custom’ case. Seems from the thread a client requested those cases. I’m sure he plays a lot of airsoft. Right?
  20. Ahhh gotcha.... good pic that...! Just out of curiosity I'm gonna stick a red dot up the muzzle end on my M4 now and see if I can see the bloody dot or not... lol
  21. Hold on, that's a red dot on the muzzle end? That chap must have bloody good eye sight thats for sure..!
  22. Of course if it gets way too cold and snows we can always make snowballs and have a snowball skirmish... lol Going back to black gas, Patrolbase have on their website Guarder Winter Gas. The blurb says operating temperature of between 3c to 20c... I would have thought 10c give or take would have been the cut off for black gas here in Blighty and then red (Nuprol 3) up to 20c then?
  23. The design is certainly an acquired taste....I've only ever seen YT videos of this and never one used in the airsoft world.... kinda looks as though one needs a proton pack to go with it... ? "Who ya gonna call.......'
  24. Nope... the Marui stock bolt is fine. The MWS can handle propane out of the box. The only thing that will break will be the nozzle spring coz of the increased forces. Always have a couple handy just in case coz they will go at some point in the future. Also check out Badabing Pictures you tube channel. He uses propane in his MWS. Also do a search on propane in this thread. There’s a lot of talk about it somewhere here lol Regarding the Marui recoils AEGs they are not a pain whatsoever. Out of the box they are fine. Work like clockwork. It’s only if you want more power and then you have to take the gearbox apart. So easy to do as long as you have the right tools and you know what you are doing.
  25. I run three platforms. A PTW, MWS and NGRS. Each platform has its merits. The PTW is a pure ‘killing’ machine, it’s relentless and unforgiving. The recoils are fun and I can rely on them regardless of the weather and I can’t fault them. Then the MWS, I smile each time I press the trigger (until I broke it ?) and my MK18 build just looks sooooo nice. A propane adapter will be my next purchase for it as many of you guys run propane. I hear the plastic AI adapter is the better one to get though. Well that’s what the folks on the Facebook group say... ??‍♂️
