Tm 416d Ngrs Missfeed, Very Low FPS 80fps and No Recoil
AlphaBear replied to SgtO2's topic in Electric Guns
It's a starlock washer I do believe... I'm afraid I don't know the size... Probably best to measure the recoil bar with callipers and then buying a pack..... however it's not essential for the recoil bar truth be told... It's an easy one to lose too... I'm sure it's missing from one of my recoils too... -

Stock gearbox Don’t lose that tiny spring it’s for the bolt stop mechanism You can see the gearbox and the stock spring. The spring is screwed into the piston. Check your piston head isn’t loose. -

The way the top recoil works is via the piston. You’ll see a gap at the back of the gearbox. This is where the hook of the upper recoil unit goes into and when the piston Is pulled back so is the top recoil unit. It’s a clever and effective mechanism. I’m actually taking my 416 apart this weekend as I’m upgrading it. I’ll take pics if I can. However from your video that clanking sound ain’t right. Take the buffer tube off and show me the spring guide. Also does your spring come out without you taking the gearbox apart. If it does this means the spring has more than likely been upgraded. The clanking sound may be the piston head is loose from the piston. This can happen if the person who did the upgrade didn’t screw it back to the piston properly. Also check out the Eagle6 disassembly videos. They are really good. Also Dave’s custom does a great video too and also Kingdom of Airsoft. -

Firstly matey who did you buy this off and did they mention those faults before you bought it? It’s totally unacceptable if the seller sold you any rifle and didn’t tell you. I’d have not opened it up and demanded a refund! Period. Having said that all is not lost. The recoil platform is very simple to work on. Q1 - the recoil mechanism has a number of components. The main recoil unit is in the buffer. This is what gives you the recoil. On top of the receiver you have the dust cover recoil affect. This does not affect the main recoil. It’s there for immersion and looks. From your pics you have a spring missing. This is my 416’s charging handle recoil unit. See the difference? -

Oh yeah, one word WTF... actually that's really three but you get my meaning..... However, I can see how this will work depending on the RIF in question.... I mean even when I had a folding stock RIF, TM NGRS SCAR I never folded the stock coz it just looked pants to me...
-
I'll probably want to run it on Auto too coz that's the whole idea of this.... truth be told I fancy an AW drum mag too I already have a Marui Glock laying around but only one Mag. If I got a couple of more Marui mags would they be better than the r WE mags you think?
-
So chaps.... what internals upgrades do you recommend I do to the plastic fantastic? She's all stock at the moment... I hear people mentioning COW parts so just wanted to know what I need. On a side note, when I empty a mag the slide locks back into position . Then on some occasions it doesnt lock back and keeps firing on empty. Seems like a weak spring or something somewhere... Then sometimes there is a big puff and gas empties out of the mag... This happens when using the supplied mag. I haven't tried a Marui glock mag yet.... ta

Oh yeah 😂

Nope. It’s in the buffer tube. Unscrew it. Take the old one out. Put a new one in. Voila. A NGRS gearbox is not like a conventional V2 gearbox.

Why wait until it breaks? A stock TM will go for years. The weakest points are firstly the plastic bushes and then the gears. My logic is simple. If you want that extra 10m plus then try the non-evasive upgrades. If you feel you need more then either do it yourself if you’re confident enough or send it away to someone else. A standard labour charge is likely to be £100 plus parts on top.

Ahhhh to upgrade or not to upgrade that’s the question.... the answer fortunately is simple. Do you want to lob that bb an extra 10m to 15m with reasonable right groupings? If so then some simple upgrades are as follows. I’ll categorise these as evasive and non-evasive. Basically evasive means you need to crack open the gearbox. 1. Non evasive - a prommy spring guide ( the one with the bearings). This will bump up your FPS by 5-10 depending on the compression. 2. Prommy tight bore (speaks for itself). FPS bump approx 5-10fps. 3. Prommy purple hop with a soft Prommy nub. I’d flat hop it. Nothing else. Forget about S-hop and all other hops. Waste of time. In fact the prommy purple will lift up to 0.32 standard. in fact don't bother with the flat hopping.... leave the purple as is.. Evasive upgrades. 4. Power spring. Installing this means you need to crack up the gearbox. You have options on how to install the spring. Note the stock spring is attached to the Piston. Check the videos out. 5. I’d change the nozzle for one with an internal o-ring. The stock Marui nozzles don’t have these. Upgrading a NGRS is really a piece of cake. Except when you have to install a Titan and then you need to mill out a bit of the gearbox.

Dude has the best haircut like ever too 😂

Marui’s only market is technically Japan. The fact that we are able to get Marui’s outside of Japan Is down to certain distributors getting them out of the country and Marui Turing a blind eye. There are no official channels for external distribution outside of Japan. The Japanese market is seemingly big enough to sustain Marui and bizarrely the brand I’ve heard is actually ‘looked’ after very well by the Japanese government. Make of that what you will. Ever thought why it’s so difficult to get Marui parts? The lack of a distribution model simply. Ever thought why only limited stock of Marui trickles into the UK? Simples. The lack of distribution outside of Japan. See where I’m going with this? . Oh here’s the link to the thread about the new AKM. Well it’s not so new now...

One day when I win the lotto I'll buy the $1500 CAG 416 kit for my MWS... until then I'll keep my fingers crossed for a native Marui 416 MWS release...

The more I look at the MK16 the more I’m not feeling it. I actually prefer the classic MK18 truth be told. I’m trying to like it but I just don’t. The SMR Geissele rail on the 416 I do like but the URG-I? Nope. Nada. Looks aside, damn that hop rubber has had a bartering. What ammo have you been using in it? And using black gas? What power were you getting ?

What in God’s name is that? In fact can you show it mounted as I’m getting too old to figure out how it goes. Wait that sounds all wrong but sounded right in my head? 🤪 Edit. Hold on I didn’t read the rest of the thread. Duh 🤦🏻♂️ -

I get that with BBs it’s not an exact science. And yes the quality of the plastic and how the bb is created has an affect for sure. What works with one gun may not necessarily work with another. I was talking to a mate who uses Green Devils coz his site dictates their use as mandatory. This brand of BB worked fine in a PTW and a MWS yet in a GBLS it got smashed to bits. Go figure. You’d think the MWS being a GBBR would have been the one that destroyed it. I’ll be trying the 0.3 G&Gs in the MWS and PTW and see how they fair when we start playing again. I’ve used 0.3 Geoffs and they seem fine. I’ve not gone with a higher weight unless it’s with my DMR then it’s 0.4 Geoffs. I’m actually eager to see what the MK23 does with 0.4’s too.

I’m not gonna mention the Marui magic dust. It’s special. We all know that. I wonder how they actually do that? Any thoughts? Anyone? I mean what do I know about Marui’s anyway? Funny they do make thr awesome MK23 pistol. Coincidence? Naaaah it’s magic. 🤫 -

My barrel is 8.5inches and has a wide girth. The girth probably explains why I can never shoot on target. Damn. 🤷🏻♂️ I’ll stick to storming the Tantive IV -
Guys looks like we have entered the Matrix with this one. How many for sale 🤷🏻♂️ Thing about BBs is the OEMs are all hush hush. People say Geoffs are the best. Well that’s what I’ve heard so that’s what I believe. But are they? Are they really the best? I mean Geoffs don’t manufacture right? They just repackage from an OEM right? Or do they actually manufacture? I’ve heard BLS are superb too. Yet don’t see many places selling them? Are they an OEM? Some people say Lomgbow are awesome too. Again the same questions. All these three brands are more expensive than the average brand so do we assume they are more superior in quality. You get what you pay for? Ok we know Nuprol are bollocks yet they cost more than similar quality brands.
