  1. Agreed, I was going to recommend them too I met one of them at NAF ‘23 and saw some of their work Just waiting to have spare pennies to send one of mine to them for some engraving
  2. Colourblind illiteracy innit
  3. Thanks lads Im going to try and put a few hundred rounds through it tomorrow Fortunately enough, I’m able to fire from inside the house up into the garden so as not to annoy the neighbours too much, then I’ll have another try with some proper weights to see if it’s settled down any. Next game day is in two weeks, so I have some time on my hands to tinker with it (Maybe I should have just fitted an m90 spring and been satisfied with those results) 🤦🏻‍♂️
  4. A bit like this? 😉 just teasing I sold it ages ago
  5. Yeah, I usually put either .28’s or .30’s through it I rattled off a couple of mags in the garden earlier, so next chance I get, I will try some .28’s through it, adjust the hop accordingly, and see what joule it wants to give me As long as it’s under the 1.2j limit for sites , I’m happy It was waaaay low before the change (like 265~ on .2’s) 😂 Hopefully the TM Fairy’s are still entrapped
  6. So, Last week I took advantage of the few hours I had spare whilst Mrs Puceflange was out with her girlie chums for festive drinks and nibbles, and stripped my NGRS 416 down to install an Eagle 6 M100 spring Whilst it was apart I took advantage of the situation to clean and re lube everything I got to test it today over the Chrono, and was surprised at the consistency Its a little to hot…… will the spring soften a bit with a few hundred rounds and drop the fps? (tested with the hop set for .2’s)
  7. I hope so I fitted the hop rubber into that rif that’s with Neg, and I had a cnut of a time getting the bloody thing back together 😂
  8. If you chucked your money at Milspec Solutions for that rif and mags, ok, you might get a little bit of change back Enough to buy a Fish Supper on your way home to make you feel better about it all 😄
  9. What a dreamer Looking for double what this is worth….. Definitely a situation of listing it to show the Mrs that you “have it for sale, but nobody is buying it” syndrome Oh, and it’s ex two-tone 😂 Oh, and it’s broken, he’s actually looking for retail for it MONG https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/two-tone-replicas/gas-powered_2/ghk-g5-with-3-mags_i72481
  10. Good purchase choice Probably one of the only “out of the box” skirmishable sniper RIF’s that I have fired I’d be running it as it is to see if it actually needs anything upgraded to make you competitive on the field I was genuinely shocked how good it was as standard
  11. These things shoot around 12 bb’s in one shot (depending on how you load the shell) Awesome 😂
  12. Easier to find the rif than the mags for it 😂
  13. It is though, tbf Awesomly Intimidating 😉
  14. Not just difficult to Chrono….. The shell gas chambers are a royal pain in the hole They eventually leak and become unfixable without new seals , which in themselves aren’t expensive, but shipping from HK or TW costs like 10 X the price of the seal kits, so you have to buy a good few to make it cost effective. I ran mine with over 50 X Power shells , which was almost £500 worth alone and an extra 30 shell casings to make bombing up less of a chore The most cost effective way to gas them is either 88gr Co2 bulbs at £6/7 a pop and only gives circa 15-20 “good” fills Then with all the other paraphernalia to run along with it, I think I worked it out to cost me 37 pence per trigger pull 😂 Heroin is cheaper, but nowhere near as good a fix 😉 But don’t let me talk you out of it, find a used one with a few shells and get it out of your system
  15. I owned one for over a year Chrono was a pain in the proverbial One site I visited , it chrono’d at almost 900 fps, the marshal just laughed and let me use it. I never managed to get an accurate reading due to what you have already mentioned (caps, beebs then wad) coming out and screwing up the reading. There are so many different ways to load the shell as well, which will give you a different result. For example You could (if you were a cnut) ….. Prime the chamber with gas Co2, then use a cardboard wad, and use a few of these for the Chrono check. The wads shreds when the gas is released giving a lower muzzle velocity than if you primed with liquid Co2 and used plastic wads which don’t shred. Giving you a waaay higher muzzle velocity. A lot of sites are wise to this, and have banned their use. Its an awesomely realistic toy to field though
  16. Spent a successful (hopefully) 3 hours, stripping my ngrs down for the first time, to clean and lube internals and fit an Eagle6 m100 spring. Followed the most in depth tutorial, made like YEAAARS ago by Eagle6 Such a breeze to work on compared to the last aeg I took apart which was an ICS. But for sure, some of the tips in the video, made the job so much easier than if I had just jumped in without watching 👌
  17. Couldn’t help myself I had to ask him, didn’t I 😊
  18. For maintenance, all I need to do is clean and relube the bcg Clean the barrel properly And use a silicone free gas, just making sure I lube the seals every now and again I find them a lot less fiddly than aeg’s to work on Gearboxes scare the living shecht out of me (probably why I’m still sitting on a spring that I want to upgrade on my only aeg)
  19. @Emergencychimps Yeah, I know where you are coming from I had similar issues when I started off with my ghk m4, I had to learn the hard way and also read up loads regarding tweaks and fixes. (it was actually sold to me as boneyard, but just hadn’t been cleaned or maintained) Feedlip issues, small bits off bb’s smashed into where the bolt rest in battery Loads of things can affect a gbbr’s operation, and if you don’t really know what’s going on and the small issues that occur, it does lead to frustration. More than a few times I had threatened to sell it and get a nice aeg due to issues. Once I had learned my way around it, and the snags, replaced a few parts including discovering micro cracked feedlips (which were replaced with aluminium ones ) I got it running flawlessly. To the extent that I was able to get a game out of it in almost freezing conditions. My Ghk 553 has run flawlessly Fitting an npas allowed me to run it at indoor velocities, this was in January in an indoor unheated warehouse, with snow outside. I think if the OP is willing to put the time in to learn the platform they are wanting to use, and iron out the “quirks” They will have an enjoyable ownership experience Probably like owning a TVR and expecting to just daily drive it But to answer @Reef No, I don’t regret using gbbr’s 😄
  20. TBH, I got into gbbr’s by accident I always run a gbbr when the temp allows me to, but take an ngrs along for just in case……. At the start, I just couldn’t deal with the low ammo count, then one playing day it clicked and all came together, 6 mags saw me through to respawn quite happily and I would just bomb up before heading back out Changing my play style to semi only has also carried on to my ngrs playing too (but using midcaps) I would see if one of your playing buddies would let you try a game or two with a gbbr before you jump in! Ive easily now spent about £800 on mags, for just two gbbr’s so that gets expensive. Then, they do like to run on heavier ammo ( 0.36’s + heavier) so that adds to the cost too, but you are only pulling the trigger when you are almost guaranteed a hit! The immersion is totally different, and well worth it! A bit of extra maintenance, but it’s hardly ball busting and I find it quite therapeutic But it’s definitely worth trying Good luck 👍
  21. I appreciate what @Jez_Armstrong is saying regarding the first photo to be inclusive of the timestamp. I only recently discovered that you are able select the first photo, so I doubt most of the plebs will discover this feature moving forwards. It should simply be on all, doesn’t take much creativity 👍
  22. I have an OEM one sitting in my spares box with a home made NPAS
