So, I got pee’d off with the fact that I couldn’t figure it out, so off to Kingdom Of Airsoft it went…. A few things amounted to the problems I was experiencing It looks like I forgot to put back in the small washer/spacer that sits on top of the pinion gear, causing a bit of chewing So replacement gears fitted Tappet plate was apparently gubbed too, so replaced Previous owner had fitted Deans connection, and the solder was “questionable” But probably, the real main cause of my issue was down to me…. The battery wires come along, under the buffer tube, and there is very little space and a finnikety job to get them in under the castle nut Looks like I may have damaged the insulation, causing it to contact something metal 🤦🏻♂️ Its been away almost two months, and making its way back soon, in time for some winter use 🤞

I’d be checking eBay for similar items dude if your struggling to ping a price on here with it (though some eBay sellers are EXPENSIVE) so use your finest judgment from there 😂 -

Loadout advice (belt mostly)
Enid_Puceflange replied to Punisher3990's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
You do whatever is most comfortable for you bud! I think the clips on the bottom front of your plate carrier are probably for a dangler pouch, to carry more stuff in (and a bit of tummy protection) I used to use one of those belts, to hold a dump pouch and an extra mag pouch or two, but wore it with the buckle to the front with a harness to support it over my shoulders. I’ve moved over to one of the two part belts, and have found it far nicer to have moved a bit of weight to my hips, (they are very rigid and have little to no “sagging” or drop when you fit them properly) and not my upper where the weight is supported by my shoulders and then my back, allowing me to lighten my PC a touch (helping reduce back pain) -
To QD or not to QD (Advice on QD sling points)
Enid_Puceflange replied to Punisher3990's topic in General Help
That’ll work perfectly Dont worry about the rear point being underneath, and the front one being at the 9 o’clock position, it’ll hang off your shoulder just fine, and when firing it’ll be just right. 👌 -

I’d love to know how you cram 17 beebs into an APS shell? 😯

To QD or not to QD (Advice on QD sling points)
Enid_Puceflange replied to Punisher3990's topic in General Help
Depends on what you class as expensive? Maybe £30 on a R/S qc sling point, vs the possible damage and repairs that could possibly result in a replica hitting the ground. Personally, I prefer a loop style sling point and use an HK style attachment Just as fast, and I trust it more to support the £100 (how much I told my mrs it cost) gbbr replicas 😉🤫 -
Fook me…. The steel model is almost 3 kilos heavier than the ally job! 😳

Just watch the recent Jaeger Precision YT video He’s struggling to get consistent accurate shot after shot on his VFC’s They do appear to need a bit of research and trial & error with upgrades to get accuracy

Had a successful game day last weekend with the OSW It’d be remiss not to treat it to an upgrade and a little add on as a treat The steel sling point fits beautifully, and feels way nicer than the Magpul one I had on previously as a place holder I’m still dicking around with the hand stop to find an optimal position for it, I may flip it round and have it forward a touch -
Yup, same experience here bud

Much more comfortable and breathable Ok, there’s more fleshy bits available to be hit, but the ability to get closer to the ground and make yourself a lesser target behind things certainly helps. I did enjoy it and found no real drawbacks to it, carried 3 mags for the primary, 1 extra pistol mag and a speedloader in the dangler if you haven’t already, worth the £50 gamble -

I decided that during these warmer months, it was time to try a chest rig Game changer! A lot more breathable and cooler, less fatigue inducing too I ordered a Krydex rig, a clone of the Haley Strategic D3CRM (and with the patch, who would know any different 😉 ) A pity that Krydex store on Ali Exp screwed up my order , and instead of a 3 x 7.62 insert, they sent me shoulder pads! Fortunately, the OSW’s mags did fit in the supplied 5.56 inserts, but made re indexing while playing an obstacle, as it was bloody tight, so used mags were dump pouched
