I looked at the Tm AKM when it came out I appreciate that TM rarely releases a duff model, but the AKM did just feel a bit “meh” due to the aluminium construction. I hope the VFC AK model feels better with it being constructed in steel

As big a ghk fanboy that I am, sadly I would only entertain a pre ‘19 AK variant from them. My V1 M4 shoots flawlessly & my 553 is also superb (stripped and lubed it last night, and it’s just a pleasure to work on)

Visited a site up in fife, about 40 miles from me today Had the usual attack and defend and barrel games BUT They invented a game which was based on an orienteering task Split the two teams into teams of three They Issued orienteering cards with a map and places to “stamp” when you reached the point, along with each player getting 3 “life” cards So imagine everyone splitting off pronto at the start and ambushing at the stamp points, all over the place It was awesome!! The only downfall is it a very steep site, so lots of up and downs And now I’m buggered! But a good concept and imaginative ?

Nowt wrong with appreciating the classic look, that’s what initially drew me to the 553. But just like the modern looking Ak variants, I just wanted to “Agg” mine up a bit, still got everything to return to standard when the itch arrives .

Yeah, my 553 started off looking just like yours The only internal upgrade I have done is fitted an npas to adjust velocity I’m actually happy with my accuracy from the standard hop & barrel Fitted the cheek rest and changed the front end Then changed the stock then got a RS Magpul AK MOE grip which took a bit of cutting to fit So this is how it sits now
