I've just had a thought. It hurt, but bear with me. When there are guns which are over priced, is part of the reason because they are being sold to peeps who don't necessarily have UKARA or other defence? That would explain why people would actually buy the stuff, even though it's expensive.

This was advertised on a messenger chat group... No idea what's in it - but if it's not diamonds soaked in unicorn tears, I'm out.

Ain't that the truth. My set up can easily over-hop .5s. I run the fast hop set at 2.5 on .48s. It's a shame they only make grey .5s... Then again, maybe it's not, for the sake of my wallet! 😂

£140 for the g18c £130 for the mag So £270... plus post - £285... But, there's no mention of bottle/line/reg, as you say. Maybe he just forgot to put them in the ad? Cos the line and bottle are in the ad, which kind of implies they're in the sale. And the top bit of the reg is peaking in... If he forgot to put them in then it's not too bad. If it's just the gun and mag, it's hideously over priced.

But then loses that point for knowing when to use an apostrophe appropriately...

Nothing bad has happened to you, other than you've had an advert put in this thread - nobody's said anything cruel or untoward. The only negative thing is that it's over priced. Which is hardly bullying. Tbh, this thread goes one of two ways for people - by asking for help, you've gone the right way 😄 Hope you get the sale you want.

I'm not saying you didn't pay import tax. I'm saying it's irrelevant. What you paid for it, what import duty, VAT, postage. None of what you paid is relevant. The only thing that's relevant is what someone looking at your rifle can get a brand new one for. Which is £389 delivered, including VAT, taxes and postage. At the end of the day, you either want to sell or you don't. Sometimes I hold onto stuff that I can't get what I want for it, cos the prices have dropped. Them's the breaks. And the whole point of this thread is to point out to peeps when someone seems to be taking the proverbial. BTW - someone did gently enquire as to why it was nearly twice the price of a new one as a question to your ad... Anyway - have a read of the thread. Have a giggle.

Shitpost? lol. No. That would be your ad. This is a thread for highlighting over priced rifs. I would say that nearly twice what someone can buy one for new counts as over priced. If you look through this thread, peeps take it one of two ways and it shows the rest of the community the cut of their jib. It seems you have chosen to show yours. Generally, stuff in the classifieds sells at around 65% of whatever the lowest available RRP is. Doesn't matter what you bought it for, nobody cares. (and there's no import duty / VAT from Austria). And the haggling aspect has been discussed elsewhere in this thread - nobody's going to expect to haggle down by over 50%. Anyway, do with that as you will. Maybe swear a bit more and insult a few more people?

I'm confused. Although not as confused as you, apparently. At what point have I used foul words? And you offer me out, but somehow I am the child? In your sales thread I was civil and tried to help you change your position so you could actually sell the RIF you were looking to sell. And you can't take a joke (this is the internet, after all - and I would have said exactly the same thing in real life) about there being a thread specifically to help people value stuff? You'll note, if you look, that I have just used that thread for exactly that reason. This thread exists to help prevent people who don't know any better from being taken advantage of, whilst having a laugh at the same time. Read through it and you'll see what I mean. If you are incapable of understanding that, then it says more about you than it does about any of the rest of us here.
