For £3 more you could get a new gun and holster that has the advantages of actually working and not coming in a minging neon green

I wasn't keen on hi capas when I started airsoft, but I have come to regard the TM ones as probably the greatest of all airsoft pistols.
They have the best trigger of any pistol and are the easiest to disassemble and reassemble. There are not that many internal parts to worry about. Metal slides, outer barrels etc are readily available.
The only thing I don't like about them is the grip, but that is easily fixed. I prefer to fit Guarder tactical grips which make the hi capa look more like a regular 1911 and less like a race gun. But if you like the race gun look, you can pick up a Cow Cow grip for not much more than twenty quid, and buy a nice magwell to compliment it.
I have had loads of pistols over the years, and I love Glocks, but the hi capa has been the most reliable and the best performing. The FNX 45 was pretty good but I never got used to the look of it.

I use to run a site shop and the fastest way I found was just to get the buyer to hold different guns , what suits one player another will hate.
I have large hands but I love compacts with full size grips ( Xdmc, hi-capa 4.3 , g19 etc )
If you have a main store close or even a site shop pay them a visit and handle all the main models of pistol( don't rack them.. they can get annoyed lol ) find a model you like in the hand and then look for the best brand of it.

Tackle reacted to Tommikka in Moving Gun safes out of basement
The key problem is not the weight of safes, but ensuring they are stable (strapped to the trolley / dolly), and that you have good grip / control
When moving the safe upright on a trolley you need balance to ensure the weight is going down the trolley to its wheels and not onto you holding the trolley up.
With the triple sets of stair wheels you aren’t wheeling the trolley up the full set of stairs but are wheeling the corner point of each step - in theory this is then a series of single steps, therefore you’re pulling the safe up one step at a time.
https://youtube.com/shorts/-PzRd6VhI_4?si=d0OuHmzCJaFsTfRi
I would prefer it to be two people, one ‘controling’ from the top of the trolley, and ideally not holding two vertical handles but with a cross bar (so that their grip isn’t around a vertical which can slip) and the second acting as a brace below with some push.
Powered ones would be ‘better’ in theory but the power element is in the moving - ideally you aren’t taking the weight in the movement so to a degree that’s laziness
The best feature of these types is the rubber track, which also comes in evacuation trolleys
The ‘tracks’ are there to span across all of the steps, but with their grip they prevent the load from running away from you.
(I hope that I don’t need to tell anyone not to use an evacuation chair to move a safe !!!)
A decent trolley with the tracked feature would be good, but a solid multi wheeled stair trolley will do the job
Just remember to think before each movement - is it steady, secure etc and are you in control?

Back in the day I used to shoot the real Hi Power - which has increased my love/desperation for a decent airsoft version rather than quelled it!

Tackle reacted to Rogerborg in Don’t know what to seek for
That's a little bit of a Frankengun with the Olde Worlde front post, but a new fangled RIS handguard. That's handguard doesn't really add extra value for a purchaser unless you can find one that's after that specific combination. And grips, suppressors and mags are more what you'd call free gifts or sweeteners.
I reckon that's a Delta Armory DA-A02-ETU ALPHA, so £250 new, so maybe £175 used for the base gun. £200 isn't an unreasonable ask - and you might get it at this time of year - but unspecified "upgrades" would actually put me off. I wouldn't even mention that, just what it's chronoing at, if you know.
Expect plenty of lowball offers, and "Swap for... ?" asks.

Tackle reacted to Lozart in M4 AEG to DMR
Thing is though, it doesn't make it a sniper rifle, does it?
While yes, I agree that to many it's just semantics the whole "is an M4 a DMR just because it has higher FPS and scope slapped on it" is a valid argument. Given that the whole basis for the need of an exemption under the VCRA is that we want our toys to be "realistic", running a 400FPS pistol with a 1J boltie sidearm just seems a bit disingenuous.

Depends, if your feeling retro & nostalgic, tour of duty, but if you want realism etc, gotta be BHD

The point I am making is that you originally stated that you used a debit card and then stated that you told your bank it was a bank transfer.
The one time I use a debit card, I get done like this mate, lesson learnt, will see what they say
Lloyds, I made sure I said private seller and bank transfer.
One or other of those statements has to be incorrect.

That there's a subtle difference between using your debit card to pay an invoice (where the chargeback scheme applies), versus making a direct bank transfer payment (where you're generally on your own).
This isn't victimblaming, just pointing out that the difference will matter to your bank. I'd also agree that you've complicated things by punting it on. I'd be very surprised if your your bank is able to reverse that payment - I'd actually be a little concerned, as it would seem to be a scammer's charter for rogue purchasers if both banks are prepared to simply take your word for it.
