Yeah my mate was firearms, if he got called In urgently he had dispensation that meant speed cams etc wouldnt count against him, but a few months before our "pull", he got stopped coming through Croydon underpass, going home from one such urgent call out, flashed his warrant card & explained to the rat the situation & that he was heading home for some much needed shut-eye before an impending shift, guy was like "take it easy, ride safe", couple of days later he got called in front of his boss & bollocked for abusing his "privileges", going to a shout its OK, but coming from one not so much. He wasn't impressed, hence why we smiled nicely & played dumb when we got tugged. Rule number one, admit, or even guess nothing lol.

Isn't it obvious, he's a plasterer & he got to a job & realised he'd left his tools in the other motor, if he wanted to get paid he had to improvise with what he had in the boot. Simples😜

I think it has been said the fairing/headlight shroud could be likened to an ugly child, only his mama could love him🤣, thankfully you can't see it when your riding. Will do, although I've not been to Box Hill in about 25 years, last time I set out to go there with a plod mate of mine, we got pulled about 10 miles away, jolly nice black rat who could have thrown the book at us 😇, & then warned us to stay away from box Hill that day as he was on his way there to meet up with colleagues & cane everyone who had small numberplates & moody exhausts, which we were both guilty of lol😇😇. Jolly nice bloke, very sporting of him👍, & me mate didn't even have to show his "get out of jail free" card.

Well, I took the plunge & now own my first Italian, & also my first twin, initial impressions so far are good, pulls like a train (even with my fat arse on it lol) & generally feels great. Only 20 miles done this evening but I've got a pre-op on Thursday so I'll do another 100 then, mostly winding Country lanes so good opportunity to test the handling 😁 & yeah I will be losing the cissy backrest 🤮

I can agree with that, one of my old regular sites bought a load of ready made velcro armbands, they were great for most of the younger players, but some of us real "men" had to attach two together to make them fit our ample "muscular" arms 🤣💪

Agree, I'm a bit of a water snob anyway, i only drink the tapwater at home if its boiled in a cuppa, most tap water seems to have a "taste", & usually gives me a sore throat ?, wtf that's about I don't know ?. But most supermarkets own brands are more than palatable, especially when ice cold, so I usually chuck 8 litre pack in the chest freezer the night before, time I need it on site it's started defrosting nicely🥶 While site owners have a reasonable duty of care to clients, it's shouldn't leave them out of pocket just to protect the Darwin award winners amongst society (all your doing is delaying the inevitable lol).

Geartechs jobs are awesome, even the ridiculous bright nerf style paintjobs look right, no easy feat. I've painted a few of mine in the past, nothing fancy, which I think is where some guys go wrong, trying too hard if you haven't got the arty farty skills. Mine were just some random dustings in no particular direction or order , with krylon obviously, as I think that's another area that guys go wrong in, yer Halford etc colours tend to be too bright & too shiny, too artificial, krylon rocks🤟

Dean's are a definite improvement over "baggy" tamiya's, & can be bought with about 4 inches of wire already attached, much easier than soldering the actual contacts. Mags I'm sure are fine, but be aware that pretty much all bb's will degrade or swell if not kept 100% airtight & out of the light, sunlight or artificial, they're more temperamental than gremlins lol.

Welcome back, I've got a tm m4s that's probably been in regular use for 18+ years, never even serviced, & still performs great (I've just jinxed it haven't i😭), so if it's doing what it's supposed to, get out there & use it, I just hope that the "upgrades" you've already done didn't allow the TM pixie dust to escape 😉

No disputing it's a cool bit of kit, but it's not cheap for an occasional Airsoft loadout that's fairly limited in its use, for example, no Hydration capabilities, would I want to wear a full suit just to achieve the "look" at this time of year ? 😜 PS, wasn't there an rmp covert vest not unlike that for considerably less shekels ?

I remember back in the day when these were a "thing", sought after & expensive, but the fact that at least 2 other manufacturers have made their own capable versions will knock your price, plus the faulty rear stock, unless your able to repair it ? Your only saving grace, as has been pointed out, might be the internals if they're of a suitable high quality, although I'm doubtful given that back in the day internal choices were limited & not always high quality ? Currently best price, £150-£200 if it works OK Edit, my apologies, just reread & seen the recent upgrades internally so I'm assuming it works fine, if they're a proven good quality, stick another hundred on the price so ballpark 250-300 ?
