Just one of those things, people used to say it was a risk when buying in from abroad, but I've seen it & experienced it myself from UK retailers, one could argue they're selling guns not fit for purpose & therefore illegal in some cases, but that's a discussion for another thread. Yep you could change your spring, or snip a quarter turn off the fitted one, but I'm assuming it doesn't have a quick change spring system, so that'll be a PITA. As @EDcasehas pointed out, getting it to cycle & stop with the piston towards the rear & leaving it that way for a week will compress & weaken the spring slightly dropping a few fps, without a qc box I'd do all the other things mentioned & then get it chronoed before trying to change springs.
-
Might pay to put a few mags through it, sometimes it loosens things up & drops the fps a wee bit. Also did you have the hop on or off ?, some sites ask for it to be off for the chrono but that's bs, hop on will reduce fps slightly & it's not like anybody actually plays with hop off, bb's would go everywhere except where your aiming.

Don't put yourself down mate🤫 That's our job😜

If its his pride & joy, how can he be moving on to better things, surely there's nothing betterer 🤔?, not at that price 😏

I've an under armour polo, definitely longer in the bod, Dunno if that's the norm ?

Saw this & thought of you guys, I'll not name names though, you know who you are 😜 Doh, the last bit should say "and never trust a fart" lol

Airsoft forum buddy, Airsoft ONLY, read the rules. Zeroin has a non Airsoft section, maybe post your link there, alternatively I'm sure there's RC forums out there ?

Warrior kit is a class above current viper kit, lol maybe several classes, but to be fair on both brands warrior stuff is heavy duty quality materials, & it shows in its general physical weight, whereas current viper has improved massively compared to its early kit. In all fairness, given the amount of time it's worn, the lighter mags etc it carries, & the physical abuse it takes (or lack of), brands like viper & 8fields are ample for 99% of Airsofters, a £30 rig would probably last a couple of years of play no problem.

Thanks for your input, but your clearly not the problem, all you've really highlighted is your professional approach to trading on here. Yes a small mods team who do their best to police sales etc, but they're understandably reliant on the support of members being proactive themselves, of which there is a core of us that will raise concerns or nudge OP's if they've not followed rules or they've piqued or suspicions. It's all we can do, & if making small adjustments such as the picture "thing" helps everyone then great. The mention of F&F wasn't intended in this thread, God knows it's been done to death in other threads, & yet still people sometimes get suckered by less scrupulous "members", which is a shame the point still isn't getting through 😞

Hey Gav, there was one on here couple of years ago, think it might have been @Cromulon1994 had it ?. Maybe check out a fb page, Raresoft, does what it says on the tin lol

I've done the same, member with the absolute highest rep, plus the value has to be miniscule, literally no more than a fiver-ish. End of the day, friends & family is intended to be that, someone paying a friend or family money owed, either repaying for something or loaning some money, even if I'd asked my sister to buy & mail me the latest Chiefs shirt (she's in KC/MO), I'd do it as goods & services, otherwise I lose out if it disappears. Which is why it makes absolutely no sense to entrust your money with a total stranger in the hope he will send you something, via any number of flawed delivery options, just to save what could be a couple of quid. 🤔 How much, & had it got lost what would your response be .?

I didnt mention F&F etc, as far as I'm concerned that's not & should NEVER be up for discussion, but agree mention of it is a super massive red flag. A good mantra to live by, & it's something someone said on here waaay back, "If someone mentions F&F, only send what you can afford to lose" Wise words indeed 🤔

I had an issue last year with ebay/hermes, gear was showing on hermes tracking as delivered, but no pod or delivery picture. Seller literally went "shown as delivered, not our problem, go whistle for a refund or replacement", hermes wasn't much better initially with a robot system that went round in circles & choked every time it got to the non existent proof of delivery, initially ended up jumping on the local delivery guy, who then gave me his ops managers name, she was more help & established the item had not got past the senders depot, & maybe not even collected by hermes ?, so was it the sender pulling a fast one, possibly ?. Even tracking down the European ceo of hermes email got an agreement that they would now consider it lost, but still ebay dragged their heels settling the claim, & PayPal weren't much better as the pod crap automatically closed down any attempt at a claim. What a cluster fuck, & trying to get any of them to talk to each other was like herding cats, very stupid cats lol. Only way it was resolved was my inability to not quit (which I think they were hoping for), it was only a £30 transaction, so while I wasn't prepared to devote much of my time, every week or so I'd fire off a pre-pasted email or make them call me with a couple of button pushes & then send them off to chase each others tails lol.

Hi all, regarding members putting a piece of paper showing their username & the current date within the pictures in their sales threads, I mistakenly thought this was already a rule, but rereading through the forum I note this is currently only a recommendation. Any way this could be made a permanent requirement please, I just feel that with the ever growing membership, many of whom only come here to take advantage of the high member count & just utilise the classifieds, it's only a matter of time before we get another run of scammers trying their luck. I also feel this should be applied to the appraisals section, as some threads there seem to be worded in such a way as to generate sales interest, with members often replying saying things like "first dibs please", again without the op displaying proof the items are in their possession. Its a small point but fairly crucial in ensuring provenance of items shown in pictures.

Anyone know where i can get one of these holsters:

No offence fatty😜, but that looks like a pain in the arse to use, surely wearing it on a belt with a lower thigh strap on would work better ? PS. I'm a chunky monkey so I'm allowed to make fat jokes🤣, I'm also a slap head, pretty much disabled, & ugly as fuck, so the world is my oyster, maybe I should go non binary & then I'll have covered all the bases ? (snowflakes need not reply🖕) -
Have a look at this thread, not that old so probably still relevant.

That's fucked up, in a sport where our biggest risk is our eyesight, they're playing god with ours for the sake of a few quid (x?), no mention of conviction, but it's got to merit some jail time surely ?
-
I couldn't possibly advocate that kinda behaviour 😏 BUT Change generally only takes place when companies are punished either financially or litigiously, why is it most of us are conscientious about our rifs & staying on the right side of the vcra/law, & everyone else doesn't give a shit. 👿

Assuming your not personally passing through any countries where Airsoft is outlawed or restricted, better to take your kit with you than rely on airline baggage handlers & customs clearance to not throw a spanner in the works. If your flying, contact your airline to check your options.

To be fair, even the edited vids are like watching paint dry lol, if my introduction to Airsoft had been via YouTube I'd have probably never started playing.
