  1. Spot on, quite literally for the average Airsoft engagement, the ability to be able to point at your target, should be enough for a reasonable level of accuracy, it's literally "shooting 101". Obviously there are some cack handed cross eyed exceptions to this, but thankfully they're in the minority 😏. But I get it if a dedicated sniper wants to zero a sight perfectly, hitting first time is advantageous if you don't want to give away your position trying to cock for a second shot. For the rest of you it's essentially "dressing up your dollies" 😜
  2. How do you use it ?, for example if you said you practiced a dmr/counter sniper role in predominantly woodland sites, with quite a lot of camping🏕️ & sneakyness, then I'd say yeah, get busy painting🎨. But if your more active in an assaulter role, don't bother, not much gain & prob wear & tear will soon degrade your paintjob.
  3. It's not just night games though is it, some cqb sites are pretty dark in places, half a dozen of you might be tiptoeing along a dark corridor in single file, employing all your ninja tactics, when the guy bringing up the rear turns on his super bright taclites, silhouetting the rest of you like the spice girls coming on stage at wembley🤣.............. BRAAAAP, your all dead.......... Thanks "Carl" you twat🤬
  4. No, & the fact that its no longer available probably indicates that it wasn't that good 🤔
  5. HPA aside, are there any other moody rules or behaviour from those who run/Marshall the site ?
  6. Is this kinda heavy handed attitude common towards HPA users ? I thought one of the main reasons for using HPA is its adjustability ?, the ability to quickly retune according to site limits or BB weights ? Obviously there has always been the contentious attitude by some, me included, that such a system is open to abuse, but surely sites should be encouraging players to monitor any changes during the day & reduce output if it becomes necessary. As such, permanent chrono station should be an option ?, if HPA etc isn't a "flash in the pan" that's not going away anytime soon then more should be done to encourage its correct use ?
  7. If platforms such as HPA & some gbbr are subject to variable joule creep, I'd much rather save the day with an aeg backup than potentially drive long distances home while spitting feathers & vowing to destroy the site verbally online etc Bugger knows, & clearly this site understands it less than me lol, but if an incident doesn't scream wholesale cheating, then surely a stern warning, coupled with an alternative option to continue playing is better than their current set up.
  8. Unless someone is caught with a ridiculous variance in power differing from the "start of the day chrono", & assuming the tag or tie fitted by the marshals is still intact, players should be given the option to switch to an aeg platform, & if they haven't brought their own, maybe a rental offered for a small additional fee. Would surely be an option that benefits everyone ? Posted before I saw your post, spot on👍
  9. Obviously he's a total cnut, but if he's that anal about HPA & gbbr, wtf doesn't he just ban them from his sites, & go aeg etc only. It'll save him all his anal anxiety on gamedays, & everybody else the aggro that he creates.
  10. As someone who has previously stated I don't know shite about joule creep, had it explained to me in detail, but has since forgotten everything previously explained to me (it's called Homers Law, every time something new goes in, something old comes out🤣), it definitely sounds overly harsh, would it not have benefitted everyone involved if the site had then chronoed using their own quantifiable bb's, even if it was .20's & converted it to joules/fps (whatever they're used to ?)
  11. Dave, that can is just sexy as f#ck 😍
  12. I am literally gagging to see the actual "gun" that the kid was playing with, & I'm sure I'm not the only one here 🤔
  13. 40 quid for postage 🤯 He's feckin bonkers
  14. LOL, I love pizza, but my ibs doesnt💩
  15. That's the one, thankfully I was out before then & never had the displeasure of knowing those 3 pos.
  16. LOL, we've all done things "for a laugh", within reason 🤮. In my regiment we were a lot more sensible, unless you were a Danish holiday rep in Cyprus 😬
  17. I feel I need to clarify, if anyone's wondering why I used a sad face emoji ?, the seller & gun are 1000% sound, my sad face is because too many spends recently means I can't buy this beauty 💔
  18. @Impulse, I too have owned tm & cyma m14's, & had no issues, not even with mags, possibly the manufacturers had made changes at some point to iron out any kinks ?
  19. Whereabouts are you located mate ? & can you add another picture of the gun with your username & todays date handwritten on a piece of paper please, to show its in your possession 😉
  20. Cyma m14 socom, stock they're pretty much as good as TM's version, for half the price, maybe even less, but are 100% compatible, even for upgrade parts. Then take it out, set it to semi & use it for a few games to get in to the dmr mindset, I'll be very surprised if you don't love it, & then consider a couple of upgrades to get it close to 450fps, it won't take much to get it there, & at the same time set it to semi, I'd consider a programmable mosfet & remove the selector knob, just til you see how it is for lockups (my old one never did😁), if alls good then permanently mod the selector plate. Simples
  21. Hate to say it Rob, I've just been offered an od airframe for £20 all in, don't know if it's fma but in all honesty it looks identical to yours, plus I think there's one in the classifieds for £30, so anywhere between the two ?. As for the rest, Dunno but I love the ak74 (& I don't usually like ak's), so registering my interest in it, depending on the price obviously lol.
  22. Weirdly enough, I had one & it was awesome, only time it played up was when the trigger microswitch burnt out, apparently a very common problem, but a microswitch from maplins & 30 minutes fiddling & it never failed again. In fact I remember a game at Fort Amherst, 6 249's were in play, 5 lightweight stars that performed flawlessly & 1 CA heavyweight, & mid game the CA jammed on full auto, causing its owner to rip it open to remove the battery before the motor burnt out. BUT that owner was a guy affectionately known as the "Hand of M", a legendary tech🤣, any wonder it packed up😏
  23. I know lol🤣 Yeah the balaclava was probably crucial, kids probably "speshul" wearing a balaclava in this heat, or his mam had just given him a shite haircut lol. The whole "Internet Karen" thing is really pissing off my wife Karen, which obviously I wouldn't dare wind her up further 😜
