Amen 🙏 @Gunboat Diplomat, I've taken a few noobs to games over the years, & quite a few have complained about being shot, usually because it sometimes stings, but my response is always the same........ "IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SHOT, WORK HARDER, GET YOUR ARSE LOWER ON THE GROUND OR MOVE FASTER WHEN UNDER FIRE, & MOST OF ALL, THINK SMARTER" Obviously I'm not suggesting your not doing any of these things, but I consider this to be a competitive sport, if speed & fitness doesn't help your play, then sneaky tactics & use of the terrain/cover will help you win the day, just gotta find your playing style that gets the best results, rather than following the herd of codsofters lol.

That's the point, by the time they were talking about the L85, the bugs were long sorted in the armalites. Not unlike Airsoft, rush in to pre-ordering any new model first gen rif at your peril lol

My issued kit was the L1A1, loved it, awesome big hitting battle rifle, but I was out before the L85 reared it's ugly head, but when it did I immediately thought why the feck are we messing about with an unproven design when armalites were proven, licensed by our biggest allies, & pretty cheap too, win win, but oh no, people that have feck all to do with actually using the end product stick their noses in, & the rest is history. 🤬

Thanks for the info, I'm still slightly confused though, your first paragraph highlights what look like glaring valid issues, but in the second one you mention the yanks using similar kit for decades with no interest in changing them, in your opinion is the rifle in question actually worth having, or another massive waste of money for kit not fit for purpose but chosen by remf pen pushers at the Mod etc ?.

I think so, might be just a glitch & worth signing out & back in, the equivalent of turning it off & on again🤔

One exception, I played a night game, got through the enemy lines via stealth but once I was in their harbour area I proceeded to "bimble" around like I was meant to be there, allowing me to enter their hq, open fire while pirouetting lol 🧚‍♀️, & end the game. But yeah, anything else is cheating unless it's specified in the game rules otherwise, kinda "brandenburger" shit etc.

Same, as if cheating etc isn't enough of a pain in the butt, you've got site staff dragging their heels to get play going, & don't get me started on the players who seemingly would rather chat than get loaded up (or listen to briefings🤬). If they wanna socialise, go to the naf or maybe the pub after the game.
