Definitely. Reason I asked if you played was: 1. If you get three games under your belt at your nearest site, you'll have your ukara, so you won't have to buy, & then gift, your son an abomination two-tone, he'll love his dad even more if he's got an all black rifle, cos don't forget....... 2. Get to know your local site, including the staff & owner, once they see you are a sensible, responsible player, it'll make broaching the subject of your son coming along to play much easier. i pretty much started out playing at a number of sites all run by one guy, who I got to know quite well, as long with his staff, so when I approached him to ask whether my son could try a gameday, as well as a friends kid (the friend was also a regular player), he had no problem allowing it, on the understanding that the boys had to stick with us all day, & we were expected to ensure the safety aspects were drilled in to them. My son was 9 (I think ?), the other lad was probably 8, & both had a great day with no issues. My son just turned 27, is a dad himself, & still plays when he gets a chance, along with his gf. "The family that airsofts together, stays together"?

Apologies if I missed it, but do YOU play ?

Same as always, around 70% of the new mid to lowest price around currently ?. Obviously any extras & any condition other than "like new" will alter that valuation .

Growing up on council estates in London, one thing that springs to mind was all the times we be in a 4ft square tower block lift, & from nowhere one of your mates would drop a monster banger etc on the floor at your feet, & everyone's trying to climb the shiny steel wall to get away from it ?, any wonder most of us have got tinnitus now?. Good times lol????

So your saying technically if he clicked on "buy", he wouldn't get past the delivery screen ???
-
They'll take your money, big money ?, wherever you are, one example in the drop down currency menu is Australia, where ironically, airsoft is still illegal in all states.......imagine the op is an aussie, takes the plunge & orders, after all it must be alright because surely the site wouldn't give me the price in aussie dollars otherwise, only to have it confiscated by customs & gets a big fine in the process, I'm sure realdealairsoft.com will put their hands up & say "soz, our bad, here's your full refund" Not?

No, bad idea, same firm, same bs, same nightmares if anything isn't right. If they ship it over & it has ANY issues, are you gonna happily sit on your hands while it trundles slowly back the usa, & hope that when (or if ?) it comes back it's sorted. Alternatively, for 600 quid, buy a long & a short specna with quick spring changes, & bask in the smug glory that success brings? We are all assuming your in the uk ?

While I try to be frugal when buying gats & all the associated kit, if I think of a conservative figure, maybe 1.5 to 2k per year, but then times it by years playing (23ish), that's just mad?
-
That's why we need to stockpile now, like those crazy yank preppers lol?

While technically your correct, it all comes back to "grey" areas, in particular power output. Like most things it usually takes a legal precedent for the government to take action in implementing or altering laws. For us it's unlikely to be on the basis of power output, most of the gats we use would implode if we tried to get them up to near lethal output levels. The only other real issue that could affect us in the future is the realism of the kit we use, & again there'd have to be a precedent set in order to trigger a government response, either a massive increase in the number of specifically airsoft rifs in crimes, in particular violent crimes or crimes against the establishment, bank robberies etc, Or an increase in cop versus airsoft rif fatal shootings, in which case coroners & the like call for further restrictions against their availability. The similarities between our kit & air weapons is primarily mechanical, pistons displacing air etc, but it is ridiculous that it's much easier to purchase a much higher power air rifle or pistol, that can also be as realistic as real steel, than it is our pot metal & plastic low power toys. I for one don't feel there's any benefit in publicly admitting that on paper we technically are the same, because if "they" go after them, they might tar us with the same proverbial brush. But that's only my opinion. ?

I tried goggling their location, what I got was very vague, but as you've mentioned, everything had a US feel which would be a big concern for me if I was chucking a grand at a gun (it'd never happen lol). @Yashy, no offense, you've been here a while but the questions in your post makes me feel that your still quite new to the airsoft "scene" ?, if this is the case, why do you feel the need to blow a grand on an airsoft gun that only it's sellers sing the praises of, with fairly outlandish claims, when that kind of spend could get you two or three very good quality guns in the uk, which would also be reassuring when it comes to returns, technical assistance, or spares etc.

According to the link, you can specify either 400 or 350fps, I think there's your answer, just ensure you've picked the right option at checkout. (350 obviously)

Unlikely most members have seen this kit come up secondhand, better if you were to look up the lowest price the kit is new, subtract a figure that allows for the new cost of the mag & inner barrel, look what total you've arrived at & then subtract 25-30% from that. ?

Naah, it's just another M4, admittedly on steroids, but for me a shottie has got to look like one, or alternatively look like nothing else on the market.
-
Deffo +1 on that, it's a lot of well performing gun for the money ?, & looks cool af in what is usually a sea of vanilla armalites?
-
I definitely would ?

Took me own advice, just ordered a guitar hardcase, something to put the AA12 in I've got coming, Chicago style lol
-
For the rare times i used public transport I always fancied one of those guitar hardcase gunbags, I think hazard4 make one, or even buy a regular one from Ebay & put in dividers, mind you with the amount of kit I used to take to games I'd probably need a wheeled cello case. That reminds me, years ago, leaving a job at the Barbican a girl passes us wheeling a massive cello hard case, I turn to the lad working for me & say: "She used to work for me but I had to sack her" His response: "really, whys that ?" I replied: "I found out she was on the fiddle" He started laughing about 10 minutes later lol ? I'm here all week?
-
Agree, I briefly closed an office block down when something I'd ordered went through the post rooms xray machine?
-
I'm torn, it's not far from me which is a definite plus, but I detest badly run sites, but now I wanna see how bad, if it is I'll rip the shit out of it & it's sycophantic fanbois ?
