  1. Blocked and reported for transphobia and anti-Scotchism.
  2. That is making my brain hurt too. However, it is airsoft, so weird things happening is not only possible, but inevitable.
  3. Are you sure that's the right thing to do? Perhaps you should seek opinions on it.
  4. I understand that Austin is turning into East Los Angeles. The UK is a scrupulous rules-follower, even when nobody else is. We're a nation of park-keepers and curtain-twitching snitches, sadly.
  5. I'd say "God damn California", but I'm convinced that She already has. Can't buy a toy silencer on eBay UK, but you can walk into a shop in California, steal $950 worth of them, and walk out with no consequences.
  6. Yes. Fractions of a mm can do it. Maple leaf rubbers have longer lips which can also contribute - I've had to trim a tiny sliver off of the bottom of a lip before. If you're sure that it's nozzle length, you can file it down, just don't create any burrs or sharp edges. Airsoft compatibility, eh? It's a wonder any of it ever works at all.
  7. Yup, that'll do it. The air is going to take the path of least resistance, and if that's down the feed tube, that's where it's going. If the bucking is that knackered, it may also be blowing between the bucking and the outside of the barrel, although the Maple Leaf ridges are meant to (and seem to) give a better seal. That's where PTFE tape might help though - I put it on for ritual purposes, and then silicone lube the outside of the bucking / inside of the hop to help it slide in. Also, does your hop unit have a spring pushing it back against the gearbox? Is it still springy?
  8. I'd expect to see that from a shorter nozzle. Longer tends to give feeding issues. Or it might be narrower externally and just not sealing in the bucking. Then again, I wouldn't assume that a new / "new" gearbox has good internal airseal without checking it. Even if it was good at the factory, it could have been drying out in shipping and shelves since forever ago. The very first thing I'd do is spooge some silicone liquid or spray up the nozzle into the cylinder, let it soak in, then cycle it until it's blowing clear.
  9. Careful now, you're in danger of nurturing creativity, imagination and practical skills there.
  10. Back on the crack. Lovely job, great detail work.
  11. I'd agree with going to lipo, even a tiny 7.4V 300mAh 35C/70C with a JST connector made a big difference over the stock nimh in semi-auto response. I've now got a 1200 mAh with Deans crammed in there, although granted only by cutting a hole at the front of the "slide" under the barrel. The CM.121 should have more room. Of course, it depends what chargers) you've already got, what connectors they can handle, and whether you want to delete the stock connector and solder in another one. I wouldn't recommend throwing a lot of time or money at an AEP as the power is always going to be limited by the tiny cylinder volume.
  12. "Some" is the most likely answer. What I will say is that my MP5K with a 110mm-ish barrel shoots at 1J - 1.05J (depending on air seal and mood) with an M100 spring and... uh... 1/2 or 3/4 cylinder, I can't recall what's in there right now. You're at 1.07J so you might not lose a lot, or nothing that a fresh M100 spring, or an M105/M110, can't cure. You might even consider short-stroking it while you're at it.
  13. I guess "find one for sale for less" applies, as to so much airsoft stock at the moment.
  14. You're very rarely going to regret a TM purchase, are you?
  15. A birrion Toyko Marui owners can't be wrong. (I mean, except about 0.7J being better than 1.1J) Oh, I'd stress that realistically speaking I've only put a few thousand BBs through mine, even using it as a CQB primary occasionally. This isn't a lifetime commitment recommendation, it's more of a "Hey, it actually works!" pleasant surprise.
  16. Hi, @Master_Beta and welcome to AF-UK. We haven't heard from this prop-maker for a while, their website is: https://printingrevolution.myshopify.com/ It'd be great to see your Halo suit - we have a few cosplayers-in-denial here.
  17. Ah, good spot, I'd only been able to find the plastic slide in orange-horror spec at BBgunz4U sites. To be fair, I got my metal slide OD one for £65 delivered from 4less using a discount code, so I can't really grumble.
  18. I have the metal slide Army Armament R17 and yes, it doesn't run well (or at all) on "green" pressure gas in the cold. I use it so rarely that I haven't even splurged on higher pressure gas, so I don't know if that's solvable. Other than that, mine works fine for such a cheap (in airsoft terms) toy, and there's a plastic slide version of it kicking around for way less than a TM which might be cold-weather friendly. The TM does have a much nicer trigger, but I personally don't find it £80-£100 nicer - I'm more concerned with whether BBs go downrange 9 times out of 10 than optimising ergonomics.
  19. What battery are you using? I've experienced overspin and double-firing on everything ~1.1J-ish that I've thrown an 11.1V into. Others haven't, it seems to be more luck than science, even by airsoft standards.
  20. It's not something that I'm particularly diligent about, given that a lipo costs about the same as a bottle of BBs. That, really. Store them partially charged, not fully charged or discharged. i generally swap batteries at lunchtime which leave me with two partially discharged batteries, then I'll just leave them until charging the night before the next game. The only time I'll do a storage charge is if I forget to swap and end up with a significantly discharged battery (or I forget to take the 2nd one out and leave it overnight with a MOSFET leeching away at it).
  21. I'll be interested to hear how that goes, it looks to be well supported by its creator. Seems that if you drop him an email at hello at-symbol tabletopskirmishgames.com then he'll sling a SF campaign with some skirmish scenarios your way.
  22. Bank of Scotchland were doing internet banking on it before there was an internet. I shudder to think what security it didn't have back then. 5p a minute (that could buy a Caramac bar!) daytime rates, on top of BT call charges, I'm surprised it ever got to 90,000 subscribers.
