  1. Echoed and re-emphasised. The CM.5xx series are made of a very cheap feeIing plastic, so I'd go a little more upmarket (although I agree that the internals are cockroach tough). I'd say Jing Gong G36C, but stocking levels are parlous again. You're not likely to go far wrong with the Specna FLEX, and it's not like there's much choice at that price range right now. No need to over-think it.
  2. Yes, but it's... That's Kicking Mustang in gun form, I'd hope it'd be as welcome at sites.
  3. They don't call it Plastic Crack for nothing, you'd be better off getting a "free one" down the skate park. All (well mostly) decent suggestions about, but what sort of activities do they like? If you don't know, then chess-boxing, I guess.
  4. You'll want a VSR / GBB style bucking for that, e.g. a Maple Leaf Autobot like this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294329296678?hash=item448764a726 Opinions will vary about what hardness to use. I'm linking to the 75 as a middle-of-the-road option. You'll get suggestions to go harder or softer: t's up to you who to believe.
  5. No, you're fine. See @Leo Greer's first response. Voltage determines how fast the motor wants to spin, and your gun is designed to run on 11.1V. Higher C / amps from the battery is always better, the motor will only draw what it needs. You never want the battery to be the limiting factor.
  6. "Domination" seems to be a popular word. As far as I can see, it's not about the actual experience of airsofting so much as willy-waggling over having the absolute peak top extreme bestest gnu on site. And to be fair, renting a master-race gun for a day is a far cheaper way of slaking that thirst than building one yourself. Me, I get more satisfaction from each hit the worse the BB-flinger is. Shotgun, AEP, unhopped revolver and even springer pistol kills are the most memorable, not BRRRRTing.
  7. And I'd suggest being realistic about what you'll get for it. It's only "new" to you, it won't be to its second owner. Also, there's not a huge market for AEPs to begin with. Work out what you want in your pocket, then add PayPal fees and the postage (Parcel Force express48 is the least hazardous), and use that as your list price that you want the buyer to pay, don't start bumping the number later.
  8. Eh, if you do end up getting prosecuted for selling, it'll be the first time in a court of record. There are airsoft retailers out there who are selling using a completely bogus defence, without the State taking an interest. If the recipient makes sensible use of it, it'll never be an issue for you. Posting is another issue. Every courier that I've looked into specifically prohibits sending firearms, or imitation or replica firearms. The safest option appears to be Royal Mail / Parcel Force, who will accept "low powered air weapons" (but not imitations, antiques, paint-ball or toy guns). Even then, the advice and requirements and compensation limits change depending on which guide you're reading, and whether you're asking Royal Mail, or Parcel Force. Parcel Force, express48, presented at a Royal Mail counter, described as "low powered air weapon", and with your name and address on the package, are about as clear as I can make out today. Other opinions and experiences are available. Personally, I just send via whatever courier is cheapest on the day, categorised a "sporting equipment" and hope for the best.
  9. Am I imagining it, or is "Vorsk" just another sub-brand of Nuprol, like Raven? Like, two rebrandings (minimum) away from an actual OEM.
  10. Do you mean that it goes "pew-pew-pew", or that it goes "pew" but three BBs dribble out together?
  11. The hit markers! The hit markers!
  12. Torn between "sad" and "thanks" there.
  13. Nothing says "We stand by our products 100%, and the warranty is completely transferrable" like not having a physical contact address, or saying one word about transferability of the warranty.
  14. Needs some "lost in a boating accident" patina.
  15. Oh, nice. Yes, I'm a huge fan of fans. That's a decent looking design and I do hope that they actually ship units to those who've pre-ordered. However, having seen several such projects stall at the "nearly ready to ship!" state indefinitely, I'm going to wait for the £30 Ali Express clones.
  16. And without all the bestest-ever TM parts that have been swapped out. So he's charging £200 for the plastic shell of a TM. Is that the part that contains the TM pixie dust?
  17. Some Specnas had great QC, then they had terrible QC, then they had OK QC. That's the problem with recommending just about anything in airsoft: OEM changes, rebrandings and bait-and-switches mean that you can never be sure that what was true yesterday will be true tomorrow. But, yes, Double Eagle M9XX, or Specna Arms Edge 2.0 are both fine at the moment. There is no "best" airsoft gun, since even if you assume perfect functionality and compare feature-by-feature, there's no objective value on any of those features. Whatever puts a smile on your face is the best gun. Personally, I wouldn't buy an M4 without a quick change spring system, and at that price point, I'd want a fire control system - which both the DE and Edge 2.0 have. Have a look through those ranges, find a few that appeal to you visually, then ask for specific advice either for or against.
  18. One for @Jedi_MasterI'd have thought.
  19. One hundred billion fps. The sites I play at tend to be very tolerant of (spring) tri-shots, and full-auto-only guns, on the basis that they've not seen any that are a problem in practice. Of course, if you're not looking, you won't see.
  20. Nah, I get it, you're right to ask. That site does look very... rustic. Personally I view a phone-call as a last resort these days, since it's an inefficient interrupt-driven way for a business to deal with an issue, and will hold them up from dealing with other customers. tl;dr version - people who phone businesses probably kick puppies and leave gum stuck to lift buttons.
