  1. As above really... * Good makes for batteries: KongPower, Turnigy Charger: SkyRC (Stay away from NUPROL) * Deans (T-connectors) are much better than mini-tamiya in every way. XT are good too but more expensive and bigger so I still prefer Deans. * I don't have bags for batteries but I do charge on a baking tray. * Yep, 7.4v is best for standard AEG. 11.1v can work but puts a LOT of strain on the gearbox so expect shorter life and more catastrophic failures. Yes, get highest C and mAh you can fit in the space. Roughly explained: C Rating is how much power can be delivered in an instant. mAh is total power storage capacity. 1300mAh can last a day with moderate use, so two of them would be a good choice for a game day.
  2. Because international postage is complicated, expensive and untrusted 😞
  3. Welcome CLE 🖐 Check here for sites near you: UK Airsoft Map — PlayAirsoft Look up reviews of the sites to see which is worth going to. (Someone in the forum may advise too) I don't think the CM123 alone will be enough to play with. Best to rent so you get a feel for other toys and after 3 games you'll be able to buy a realistic looking one. You can still use your CM123 as a secondary for certain situations. CYMA do some of the best entry AK's Their CM.04xx range are very nice and good performers. Do lots of reading and your knowledge will go up quickly.
  4. Welcome Kevin, Yep, we sometimes talk about airsoft here 😉 Sorry to say but I don't think you'll have much luck buying from the forum tho 😬 Enjoy your time here anyway 👍
  5. I do have to tighten the valves sometimes too so its worth getting a valve key. Very cheap and useful.
  6. If you're sure its from the base rather than the fill valve then you'll have to open the base and use Silicone oil on the rubber seal. Maybe even soak it for an hour or so. Worst case, you might need a new one but they're cheap. To open the base is either a couple of pins through the sides or a screw at the bottom.
  7. Welcome mate. Adding to the above: I use CYMA, JG and Specna Arms and all have been reliable and playable from the box. If you just want one toy you can afford something more up-market though. Some people on the forum have good opinions of G&G but personally I think they're a bit pricy for what they offer. Can't really advise on more expensive options so more reading and review watching needed. I prefer to have a couple of (cheaper) play style options on a game day like an MP5 for sneaking attacks or a longer M4 for longer range work. (Having multiple weapons on a game day has also come in handy when a friends or my other main stopped working) Decide on the look you want, find what companies sell it and then check reviews of each option. Video reviews are good if you watch plenty to get different opinions and then ask on the forum for specifics. The thing to remember is you can spend a LOT of money to get a few extra feet of range when you could just sneak a bit closer and pick people off with better tactics and movement. Best advise is not to take it too seriously. Winning a game is less important than having a good firefight 😁 ...and call your hits. Its just a short walk to respawn and offers you a different approach to the target.
  8. 👆 The bit circled is the safety but can only be engaged when cocked. Many safeties are like that but I prefer not to leave the hammer back for long so I just leave the guns loaded but not ready to fire.
  9. I use one like this Trimex Universal Leg Holster - Just BB Guns It is adaptable but duno if it'll fit with the torch. Might have to get a specific one...
  10. The bottom may stick out a bit on some. See if you can find some vids on YT about your pistol and they may mention magazine compatibility. Or contact the retailer and ask them.
  11. You can search for R501, R504, R603 or R604 mags. They're all the same. Edit: This looks like a good price and they are a good retailer. Army Custom 4.3/5.1 Hi-Capa Gas Magazine (R501/R603/R604 Rounds - 27 Rounds - Black) (bespokeairsoft.co.uk)
  12. I'm happy with my Specna Edge but admittedly haven't used it much. I do wonder if the Specnas are as bad as some say. I know there have been some failures of the Orion gearbox but maybe it was a bad batch or something? If mine does poop itself I'll certainly shout about it here...
  13. If you're havin fun you're doin it right 😁👍
  14. I'd say CYMA or JG will give you best bang for buck in your price range. They're generally reliable and perform well enough out of the box so if you get one that doesn't seem right then talk to the retailer and possibly return it. Don't forget to budget for good eye protection, boots, Li-Po battery and intelligent charger.
  15. Welcome. As concretesnail said, it doesn't matter which way around it sits. (It still spins in the same direction) Its all about the connector wires reaching the correct pin and there usually isn't much room to move them around.
  16. If it was shooting OK then started acting up its likely the hop rubber is damaged. Luckily you don't need to open the gearbox to fix so just search YT for a video showing how to get the inner barrel and hop unit out.
  17. Don't listen to anyone shitting on your ideas and goals. Just do it legally and safely. "InCamera" is a very good youtube channel. It really shows what you can do to get the effects you want in a creative way. Hope it works out well...
  18. Gas is OK but certainly not for anything electrical
  19. The flame (or spark canister in older models) on flamethrowers is there to ignite only and do not prevent the flame entering inside and blowing the whole thing up. The output pressure does that. It may be tempting but DON'T mix gas airsoft with any kind of ignition source. You'll regret it and may end up in one of those videos of stupid people 😆 If you want a cool effect when shooting get a 'Spitfire tracer' (although it doesn't work with shotguns)
  20. Yeah, Deans (also called T-Connectors) are the best for efficiency. You should get a 7.4v Li-Po (or two) 1000mAh or higher. (Not Nuprol) ...and a decent charger like a SkyRC s60 or similar. (Not Nuprol)
  21. I've got the SA-E03 Edge (v1) and very happy with it out of the box. Not needed any mods to improve things. Mine only has the basic X-ASR MosFet which doesn't have any programable functions. Read lots of good thing about the Double Eagle M906 on this forum so have good look into that one too. (I also thing G&G are expensive for what you get) Don't bother thinking about converting anything to DMR as there's more to it than just a stronger spring. You'll be wanting a new pew soon enough so better to get something more suited to the role. Its always good to have a backup on a gameday anyway...
  22. I think this issue was related to the Mac11 (Duno which make but likely ASG) Apparently it does say in the instructions that the bolt should be retracted before inserting a full mag otherwise the feed bar can be broken. As above, I've not heard of this being a problem with pistols but I would be wary of overfilling the mag with BBs and always test how much pressure there is on the top BB.
  23. As you know, UK stock of PKM's is non-existent. A&K parts a hard to get hold of at the best of times. (I've got their M60) I don't know if they're still making PKM's but the current Covid situation in China means they're working at low production level, if at all. Even if the company survives and continues production in the future it'll take quite a while for items to appear in UK retailers.
