  1. Assuming its the G&G ARP 9 that's unlikely as it has a MOSFET which means the trigger only makes a low voltage contact. Unless you've been mashing the hell out of it. Its possible but my bet would be on the wiring or battery connector.
  2. GBBRs are definitely more challenging and expensive to use on game days. GBBRs are NOT definitively more accurate or have longer range. I saw a video (cant remember name) of a US player who found the best compromise for ammo was to take 4 or 5 mags and refill them with BBs and gas in the field. As Hudson said above, start by using heavier BBs and only use single shot. Only consider changing to GBBR when you're getting bored and need more of a challenge 😉
  3. Could be battery needs a top-up Could be varying connection with the Tamiya plug (contact quality will vary each time its plugged in because the pins are too small) Could be a dry joint (a joint that looks OK but hasn't melted together properly) I know its cumbersome but I don't think its a good idea to remove the fuse as its there to help prevent catastrophic failure.
  4. It depends how good/bad it is. If its OK then it will be fine but if its not making a good connection then it will heat up as mentioned above. Worst case is it heats up enough to come apart and cause a 'short' (plus & minus touch) then you get fire. Fire 10 bursts on full auto with a few seconds between each burst. Then feel the cable and plug around the solder point to see if anything gets warm. If it does then re-solder it.
  5. Firstly why are you using a Tamiya connector with a 11.1v LiPo??? They are not good for a decent connection. Use Deans or XT The key to soldering is using flux which helps the solder flow but I understand you might not want to buy some just for occasional use. Using 11.1v means a lot of power (relatively of course) so I suggest re-heating the welds until it all melts together properly and doesn't have blobs sticking out. You can hold the iron on for 10-20seconds to get things heated properly (hold the plug with pliers) Its also important to insulate each connection properly because if they touch you'll get a fire or explosion. Shrink wrap tubing is cheap and easy to use (remember to put the piece on before soldering)
  6. Make sure the hop rubber is clean and oil free. I'd use Isopropyl alcohol but you can use soapy water. Easier if you remove it of course and you can check the hop arm is working correctly at the same time.
  7. Just to reiterate, BBs dropping out when removing the mag is normal (and annoying). I turn the gun over when removing the mag so I can catch the loose BBs when I turn it back to normal If there is still a BB stuck somewhere after firing without the mag then there's a problem. Can you take a pic where the BB is stuck?

    Postage

Yeah, insurance is always a bit dubious. I'm sure making a claim means filling in a long form and showing receipts of what they cost.
  9. That's strange. I just tried the link and it works for me

    Postage

The only 'legal' way is ParcelForce48 Don't bother with extra insurance because RIFs don't qualify. (Don't know if anyone has made a claim for insurance)
  11. Hey Rob, Just curious which shop you bought from?
  12. But it shouldn't be. Unfortunately the rules are so badly written even border force get confused sometimes.
  13. Bad luck mate 😬 It seems to me that they've seized it in error because it should be completely legal. As Tommikka said, write a letter stating that it is legal under VCRA Section 36 (add any other relevant sections you can find) and provide your UKARA. Hope it gets sorted
  14. Air rifles up to 12ft/lb (16.25J) are allowed with no restrictions apart from being over 18. Its ironic that more dangerous toys are easily sold over the counter or even by specialist mail but our 1j toys need a registry. Airsoft has its own little caveat in the law.
  15. Welcome back ✋😃 For CQB you could probably start with a pistol I guess. I've seen a few positive vids of the Vorsk VMP-1
  16. Ah yeah the first one is (must have just sold out) But the second link is in stock and it has the trademarks
  17. I don't think you've got the hang of this 'selling' malarkey 🤣
  18. Does this help? Or This one?
  19. Welcome ✋ Have a look HERE for sites near you.
  20. Those are really only for retail sales and don't officially take RIFs from the public
  21. ParcelForce48 is the only postage service that officially take RIFs https://send.parcelforce.com/ Typically its around £12 for a boxed rifle
  22. The Brownings aren't great but as long as you follow the rule of cocking the hammer or racking the slide before inserting a magazine they are OK. The hop adjustment is a bit more of a pain than other pistols because you have to remove the inner barrel but if you use the same weight BBs then you should only have to set it once. If you want a metal slide 1911 then WE, Umarex, VFC or Army Armament are decent. If you want gas efficiency and don't mind a plastic body then Tokyo Marui are the standard. Keep in mind all traditional looking 1911's (Non Hi-Capas) use a small magazine that doesn't hold much gas. (enough for one mag of BBs) (The Tokyo Marui is more gas efficient as mentioned)

    Batteries

Yes, the sales pages from various retailers suggest 11.1v is better for the G&G M16 SRL.
