  1. As above, provide UKARA (I include it in my address too) You may have to pay import fees so be ready in case.
  2. Might be better to put it in WANTED section πŸ˜‰
  3. Welcome back πŸ˜βœ‹ I think our toys have improved since then so there's loads more choice now and not too expensive for a decent performer πŸ‘
  4. Sounds like you have a mature attitude so good start πŸ‘ Stick to AEG for the beginning. I would say Β£250-Β£300 will get you a very decent performing & reliable BB slinger. Have a search in the forum for recommended first weapon and best manufacturers. (Obviously there will be a lot of M4/AK but might mention things to think about like attachments etc) Remember that all AEGs work with the same basic mechanism so the shape doesn't affect performance. Even barrel length may not guarantee better performance or accuracy. Higher quality components (cost) will generally improve performance out of the box but its not guaranteed either and there is generally a diminishing return the higher the cost. Basically, look for the style/shape you like the look of most and then research which one to buy. Don't rush into modifying. Its usually best to start that when you have at least 2 weapons so you have a backup.
  5. How can that help? (legallyπŸ€”) Small claim court?
  6. The rules state that retailers are not allowed
  7. Hi Alan. Airsoft pistols are fun but may not be accurate enough for you. I don't know if green gas is quieter than Co2 but they are much easier to use. Don't bother with spring pistols.
  8. Welcome back βœ‹πŸ˜‰
  9. Welcome βœ‹ Good plan, you'll do well πŸ‘
  10. Remember that airsoft batteries are much smaller (fewer cells) than in the videos above. While they can spit fire or pop it wouldn't be as violent as seen in those videos. I think charging a 7.4v battery in an old cooking pot (without lid) would contain any fire as long as there isn't anything flammable too close. 11.1v Li-Po's would need a slightly bigger container but not much. This also shows how important it is to get a GOOD intelligent charger that would stop charging when the battery is full or if there is a problem.
  11. "This was all due to incompetence and negligence on his part" I wouldn't blame him. Its not normal for a battery to fail so catastrophically. It must have been damaged (possibly unnoticeably) or the charger failed if it was a cheap one. Yes, its a pity he didn't have it in a safer place but I'm sure many of us leave them unattended for a few minutes at a time. Sorry you all had this experience but thanks for the reminder.
  12. Hi and welcome βœ‹ There's plenty going on here to keep you busy for hours between looking for new toys 😁
  13. Might help if you put it in the right place: https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/17-guns-wanted/
  14. The cheapest option is to use two normal metal washers. You can file them to the correct ID and OD
  15. Of course, otherwise known as snipers πŸ˜„ ROF - 'Rate of Fire' or wanker rating. The higher it is the more wanky. Over 15 is knob level.
  16. We don't mention the 'Hippo Poo Area'
  17. Good idea Barry Could make this into an Airsoft dictionary or encyclopaedia. I would add to the list: IF - Imitation Firearm - Two Tone painted weapon BFG - Blank Firing Grenade (Come as Timed or Impact type) Hop - Rubber part that imparts spin on the BB to keep trajectory straight (Can also be referred to as 'Adjusting the hop') Li-Po - Common battery used with AEGs. (Commonly 7.2v but some AEGs can use 11.1v) DEANS / T-Connector - Battery connection type for AEGs Mini-Tamiya - Older, less efficient battery connector for AEGs
  18. Its essentially a KJWorks KP06 (Very good reviews) As always happens, I just bought one from Asia πŸ™„
  19. I'll throw a few more pence in the bucket... If you just want to plink at home then a pistol is a good choice as its more fun to use than an Electric weapon (AEG) As Tommikka said, you could just buy a two tone coloured pistol without any legal requirements (as long as you're over 18) But I would also recommend to try renting at a game site to see the true potential of the sport. If you don't like it then its not a big cost and you will get to see lots of weapon options. (I preferred woodland games with sneaking around and a range of weapons but indoor CQB is faster and can be played just with a pistol) If you do like it then you'll only need to attend two more games at the same place to register with UKARA and then you can buy any realistic coloured toy (RIF) Check HERE for sites near you. Either way, have fun πŸ˜πŸ‘
  20. I don't know about you guys but I never bought anything from them so I guess they didn't have competitive prices. Hopefully its not going to be a trend with other retailers.
  21. Welcome βœ‹ There's plenty of info and other stuff around here to see so enjoy your stay πŸ‘
  22. Fantastic work! Only thing I would add would be to black the inner barrel
  23. Nothing needs to be done. Do NOT spray any lubricant into the magazine. If its not feeding properly then there is a problem with the mechanism and may need disassembly.
