They are superb, I use them for my other pastime so I have a separate licence for that, they are phenomenal on range, in dense woodlands we still get 3Km range, and it is extremely clear as well. I am shite at setting them up, so don’t ask me about that, our computer guy did all 30 of our groups radios(not Airsoft group).

So here are two of the guns I have been playing with today, the firehawk has had some “cosmetic” works, the owner wants a Titan and a few other upgrades on the inside... (it’s my brother- muggins here has some more work todo!) The other is my custom gun, I say custom as it has been built from scratch, it’s nowhere near complete, got 4-5 other bits and bobs to buy(it still hasn’t got an inner barrel) It will be going off to be painted by our resident Michelangelo @GearTech in the not so distant future.

Going to suggest a strange one here, have you a sports soccer near you? Go go in and have a look at the Karimoor walking boots. I recently purchased a pair for Airsofting, they are light, weather proof, comfy and cheap! Go and give them a test though, I highly doubt you will not get on with them.

I went out in just my top and trousers in the snow.... I am that younger running around player. Even when I’m sniping.

Christ. If I wore that I’d end a skirmish like a baked potato! I only wear a Multicam long sleeved shirt and trousers, and I still come out hot and sweaty.

Patrol Base seem to be selling Gate Titan Mosfets for £62 each! Saving of around £17(not including programming card etc)

Try Skirmshop, my team mate purchased one not 2 weeks ago. They get them in quickly too, drop them a line and ask for a lead time.

This I know. But if your going for the realism of a DMR role(some sites I play at will not allow certain guns to be DMRs-hence why I mentioned it) you need the longer barrel. Agree it does naff all in performance. I have seen a L85 DMR and not only did it look lovely, it fired superbly well. Havent owned an ICS yet, it is the next gearbox I wanna look inside though!

I’d actually say build a L85 DMR, you can test the box without putting it back in the gun, quick change spring if you are over certain site limits, already has the long barrel. Only issue is getting it to fire on semi reliably!

My brother has one of these in black, few other upgrades than this as standard. It was not good out of the box. Far from it, it needed a lot of fettling, it’s now at a standard where it’s pretty decent. He might be willing to sell it if you are interested. I’ll ask him.
