  1. Damn glad you are going to be OK. The people praising masks for glasses, do your specs steam up with no mask/goggles at all? I find a pair of small lensed rectangular framed specs steam and get covered with sweat in very hot weather just working let alone playing. Are any of you so afflicted?
  2. I have witnessed similar on a rif with dirt in the magazine causing BBs to catch/stick/suddenly get shaken free/jam even tighter. Happened both to hi and mid cap mags. Fingers crossed it's a simple fix, whatever it is.
  3. Looks neat, I'll have to see how well it actually fits etc. Here's the catalogue pic.
  4. I was in the gym changing rooms at lunchtime with my mate Tom. I turned around to speak to him and couldn't help noticing that he was wearing a lace thong. 'Bloody hell mate!' I said. 'How long have you worn skimpy women's lace underwear?!' 'Since my wife found some in the glove compartment of my car,' he replied.
  5. I bought a slip on sight protector for those last night. Replaces the standard rubber cover for one with a polycarbonate window. £8 ish from E-Bay. I'll have to wait until it eventually gets here to rate it.
  6. That's a transplant! 😆 The 1875 Act covers the possession of explosion with intent to endanger life or property, the 1923 Act is more concerned with general use and possession of explosives and pressure devices. Both are much amended, e.g. the 1875 Act covers explosives not available when first drafted. A mate was allowed to keep stocks of nitro powder in his shop (propellant) but not black powder (an explosive) because of the proximity of other businesses. In another LA area, a local shop is not permitted to keep MKV bangs in a retail unit in a shopping centre. I think that it's another area of fuzzy legislation much re-codified and much interpreted by many actors.
  7. Think I've got four Baofeng 888s kicking about. Had them for years now. No issues at all. I plug them into a pair of Howard Leight active earpro. Sound quality in receive is whiny, but for £7.50 radios and ears at less than £40(?) they have worked for years in all conditions. Perhaps I'm just lucky?
  8. 'This could be a good start to a Kyber pass style AK build, but only for the advanced tech, since the gearbox is completely dead.' Translation: 'It's so fucked that you could build an authentic looking fucked up rifle from it, but only if you know what you're doing.'
  9. Themed milsims and filmsims tend to attract loose teams via FB groups and the like. For CQB I would try and form a team around existing links. A few mates play in a team of former squaddies from the same regiment. I play along with blokes I have met playing a specific role in filmsim and milsim. Again, for CQB teams/groups tend to grow onsite. Chat to fellow players that you tend to end up beside.
  10. I've had this type of issue before with one of those crappy ASG chargers.
  11. When my lad started playing he bought a two tone CO2 pistol. It must have been several sites in until it was chrono'd. It was running at about 420-40fps on .2. He had been using it at close quarters around buildings. That was one of the reasons that we went back to that site and became regulars. No excuses for not checking secondaries!
  12. Well... I believe that ML do a non-rubber hop erm... rubber(?) for cold weather. TBH I have rifs refuse to hop in freezing temperatures, and fps has been way down. A quick burst of auto and you generate enough friction to heat it up sufficiently. Maybe a good idea to split the difference and fit a 60 deg. Plenty of people do!
  13. A bear walks into a bar. 'Whisky and...........................................................................................soda please,' he tells the barman. 'What's with the massive pause?' the barman asks. 'Dunno,' says the bear, 'I was born with them.'
  14. That's interesting. I've never had any luck with a 70. Perhaps other variables effect the desirable hardness?
  15. Sorry mate, I have no clue about either shop. You need a 50 or 60 degree rubber though.
  16. Maple Leaf and Omega nub are many peoples go to. Google AK2M4 and have a look on here for other ideas. I'm not the best person to speak re techy stuff but I think you need to check your air seal. If the seal is OK then a spring change to raise your fps to near the site limit. Without a good seal at the nozzle things get a bit too inconsistent and it isn't easy to spot any issues with anything else. Just a thought, but if you're cleaning the barrel with solvent you may have dried an o-ring out. Whatever is going on it won't be a gun specific issue, so have a good read of the Electric guns threads for people experiencing and fixing similar.
  17. The have a nice rotary hop unit as standard, so you may get a tiny bit more with a better hop rubber and nub. Do you know what it chronos at?
  18. Had this a few years now. No idea of the economy as it's a work vehicle, so just filled up and forgotten. Pretty good for airsoft as the glass is bulletproof and it's 4x4. Base vehicle is a Merc. I've been overseas in at a fair bit, but usually I just use it for popping down to the shops for a few bottles of red and some wafers. It's really comfy tbh.
  19. What weight of BB are you using? The standard rif will hop .25 and .28 OK. What makes you think that you need more range?
  20. Maybe a silly idea, but is your hold consistent? I hold my M4 around the magwell, I daresay that the crap barrel support would shift poi upwards if I gripped the barrel. Could that account for any vertical shift? Might be something to look at before pulling the thing around again.
  21. I'd take a gander at some of the threads on DE M4s perhaps. The CM16 is a doddle to upgrade mind. High torque motor £25 from Aliexpress, ZCI barrel at less than £20, Maple Leaf hop rubber and knock off Omega nub £10-12, ZCI hop unit £10 and you have a gun as good as any. Take you an hours easy fiddling with YouTube guides. Only tools required are a pencil or similar to push a pin free to open it up. Easy as picking your nose. Never get your money back if you sell, but less than a quarter of your budget.
  22. I have two. The fixed stock is a loan out/spare, the underfolder is one of my favourite rifs. It's well used and a little bit bent here and there due to falling over a few times (including full pelt into a bloody tree). I would have cried if one my 'nice' guns were in this state, but bar the hop rubber It's 100% factory. The fixed stock is 100% factory and still in excellent nick after being dropped and drowned by various school/college/cadet mates of my lads. Amazing value for money. Lightweight pressed bean tin body if memory serves. I can check when I get home if you like. You may have to remind me via pm mind.
