  1. Being a sniper is, for me, a state of mind, rather than a look or even your equipment. You want to use what'll do the job...and in airsoft, it is usually to take out as many OP-FOR as possible until they get you. Because there is so little difference in range between decent AEGs and most dedicated rifles, compared with real steel, whilst stealth helps, you're usually close enough to be located eventually... Browning M2's with scopes on...to handguns with optics...all have been used by snipers to achieve this aim. I say, do what you plan to do, and most importantly, enjoy it and learn from failures and successes.
  2. Google is your friend...and she did a rather naughty '50 Shades' straight-to-video last year too. She really has aged like a fine wine. Albeit with a little help...
  3. I would always recommend Tokyo Marui to anyone buying their first RIFs. I have TM Gas pistols going strong after 20+ years (a NBB Desert Eagle) and their GBBs are top quality and seem to work well in pretty much all weathers. As for an AEG, it really is horses-for-courses, but again, TM will almost certainly not let you down.
  4. Charisma Carpenter - subject of one of the most unexpected, but much appreciated, Playboy issues ever...
  5. My loadout at R. I. F. T. Airsoft's The Defilade on Sunday: TM Beretta M92F in Safariland 6004. TM Uzi with Magpul sling. TAD Ranger hoodie. TAD Force 10 cargos. TAD Watch cap. TAD Shermagh. Mechanix gloves. Bulle MLE vest + various pouches. ACM Multicam hydration pack plus TAD SOLAS patch. Alta knee-pads. Merrell All Out Blaze Mid boots.
  6. I was there yesterday, was very muddy, but overall a good site.
  7. Chailey site? Were you there yesterday at all? May be there, either there or one of Ace, Dog Tag or Battle Lakes.
  8. Anyone know where I can source a Tanaka M500 front sight please?

  9. Krytac have had excellent reviews in AI and AA - don't get me wrong, I'm not not-rating them - but for me, I'd go for Marui if I wanted an AR-type. I don't give a monkey's about recoil. I want a consistently reliable shooter out of the box. The Marui magic is still strong.
  10. I know if I had £500-600 I'd go for a new Marui... Horses for courses though.
  11. The motor has is unique to that model - very long shaft. I may have sourced some spares...
  12. Nice warm hat - Olive or tan beanies work well. Shemagh for neck/face protection. Cheap set of BDUs. You could probably get the whole lot on eBay for £15.
  13. Sadly not, but I am assured it is in excellent condition, which was good enough for me.
  14. Flyye Go-Bag in Khaki - to replace a cheaper ACM one whose zips have gone kaput. £26 from eBay inc. P&P.
  15. Got a MC TAD Gear patch coming across the pond in the post after winning one from them on Twitter.
  16. TAD Gear Overland shirt from eBay. Milspec Monkey MC cap from eBay (same seller). Eyeing up a WE Makarov GBB at Crawley Surplus too...but funds towards an AA12 might have to take priority.
  17. Ha! No worries, skippers. Just good to see there is a thriving Sussex community.
  18. Sorry kids, thought this was a general 'Sussex meet...' thread. Forgive my brash impudence.
  19. Be good if us local Sussex airsofters could do a meet at the new R.I.F.T site at Chailey - 14/2/16 I aim to be there with five friends and family...
  20. Okay, so I have a Star Sopmod. It was put away working, and been in it's hardcase for years. I am paranoid that if used, the (unique) motor will go and it'll be a paperweight. It has had gears go before but they were not unique to the model. I have sourced a supplier of the Ares V2 SOPMOD motor - $22 no less - and hopefully over V2 parts. My query is...how compatible are V1/V2 parts?! I'd love to use it again but really don't want to irrepairably knacker it. Cheers.
  21. I have a Gen 1 FastMag from Supply Captain from way back when, have kept AEG AK mags, Galil mags and M4 mags in it and never had one fall out or come loose. Wish I'd bought more.
  22. A second Zippo handwarmer to compliment the one my wife bought me for Christmas plus a Zippo lighter. And a TAD Gear Overland shirt from eBay.
  23. Without wanting to necro-post, but have been into Crawley Surplus a fair few times in the last year since discovering them, and they are really good guys. The tech/s working there are spot-on and whilst some of their prices are a bit mad on certain things, others are very competitive. Had a hold of the Dual-1911 they'd just got in today. Good luck holstering that! Well worth a visit.
  24. You'd be there inside 10mins! Next game is 14th Feb apparently. Should be there myself with five or so of my posse!
