Mos got a reaction from JamesAirsofterAgent in Beginner gaming Set up £492
One thing, this will probably help you a bit more. There are some very clever people on here, who know their computer technical stuff. But, there is a forum called "tomshardware" this is a very popular forum. With many active users, if you want some help, go there, it's a big forum, and you'll get some very good results there. You'll still get good answers here, just, you'll get some good answers there too! Good luck.

Mos reacted to SeniorSpaz87 in Gun picture thread
Well, if it is a TM G-Spec, thats about as high end as you can go on a stock sniper... The issue with snipers, however, is that unless you are just going to be target shooting, or playing with your mates in the yard, you will need to throw several hundred pounds at it to make it skirmishable. Look around people's accounts and see how many of us have some sort of sniper vs how many dont. They are difficult and expensive to get them to the point where you can use in the field

First of all it's sniper RIFLE. Second of all it doesn't matter what anyone would go for personally it's what he has gone for and it's a work of art.
A one of a kind next to all the clone sniper RIFLES and M4's be proud of it.

“He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.” - Immanuel Kant
Now, I realise it's very easy to grab a glib quote from the internet but this one is all too true.
While you (possibly) rightly say that there is worse going on in the world we should not stand by and allow people like the perpetrators of this particularly vile and unspeakable act to get away with what they've done. The sentences handed to them are laughably lenient considering what they did and the manner in which they behaved while they did it. Granted it would be a better response to sign the change.org petition for harsher sentences for animal abusers but to dismiss it as "a little violent animal cruelty" gives us as much of an insight into your thinking as you say a violent response gives you into others.
It IS very true that many people (myself included at times) are wont to respond in an overtly violent manner while protected by the anonymity provided by the internet, but I honestly and truly hope that someone in whatever prison these pondscum end up in is a dog lover and beats the living shit out of them. This world has no more need of them than tits on a boar. -

Mos reacted to Greg147 in Who thinks theres anything wrong with two tone guns?
Two tone guns make it easier for people to get into the sport, so I don't think there's anything wrong with them. I don't look down on someone for turning up and using one, and I don't always assume they're a new guy*. That said, I never went and got one myself on the grounds that they're far too colorful for me. I got UKARA registered to buy a black one as soon as possible, but for people who don't skirmish often, or don't use the same site enough times to get a membership, two tone guns seem like an easy way for them to have their own kit.
*with the possible exception of orange L96s...

Why the f*** I watched that. I don't consider myself a really sensitive guy, but I nearly dropped in tears after I saw that clip (don't know if it has sound, as it would have made it worse). I wanted to squeeze that bastards neck till his eyes popped out of it's sockets. How mentally sick you can be to do that sort of thing ?

Mainly the sport section, yet if something simple and understandable catches my eye (yet animal abuse is not understandable IMO, how the f*** can you abuse animals like this??) I will read it.

Mos got a reaction from stevil in be gentle with me !!
It's fine, if you just turn up, someone will say 'hey' or 'nice gun, what is it?' There's a good site in billericay - infact, even if you ask someone else "nice gun, what is it" should spark some talk. But generally playing the skirmish, you'll find yourself in a building, with a teammate surrounded or something likewise, and that person will speak, about a plan etc..
It will happen, people have a soul
Good luck my friend!

Mos reacted to Baz JJ in Lack of Ingenuity
I cant help but notice that the various suppliers of airsoft kit all supply the same stuff.
Apart from a slight variation of a few pounds in price and varying stock levels, it amazes me that traders dont put a lot of value added in their wares.
Reading about how to protect a tactical torch by getting your own piece of plastic just now on here and buying a quite expensive ELCAN optic the other day and struggling to find a kill flash for it, it amazes me that UK suppliers dont join up the dots.
No wonder players buy things overseas as the UK companies offer exactly the same thing only dearer.
I paid just under a hundred pounds for an optic then about £15 for a killflash from a separate supplier, then discovered the thread was non compatible.
Why would a supplier sell an expensive optic like that and not consider offering an optional killflash that fits it. I would happily have paid them the £15 for a guaranteed compatibility (the kf was about £9 and the rest was zero ones excessive p&p). Its got to be more economic to solves these problems at retail source in quantity rather than letting each customer solve his own problem.
The amount of money Ive wasted in compatibility experiments.
Another value added prospect is offering an EoTech and Magnifier that actually line up. How often have I read players complaining about this.
I asked one UK supplier if they sold BCM Gunfighter foregrips and got a curt NO.
Searching on their website a bit more, I found a replica clone that I would have happily bought had he said, no we cant get the originals outside the US but we offer this clone etc.

Mos got a reaction from Monty in Sniper scope advice?
Sweet. Thanks monty. I'll probably end up getting that one then.
I got into that mode of wanting to buy an accessory, and knowing which one to get, then checking if there's any better at that price area lol..
Thanks

Mos reacted to proffrink in Compatability of inner barrels?
Problem is: Can't really R-hop a VSR cut if you ever want to do that in the future. You can get good results from just VSR buckings though. There's a reason why they're so popular.
I only use AEG buckings - even in a couple of my most recent BASRs I've built and got them working very well. I've even used VSR buckings in AEG barrels and had good results, but I'd never recommend doing that. Most of the decent aftermarket hop units will allow you to fit both VSR and AEG buckings.
Basically, you can get great results out of both. If you go the bucking route then a VSR cut is probably better. I agree with PT247 - the 6.05 PDI barrels are exquisite. They have free shipping right now too.

Mos reacted to Honter in Arena Industries Flakjak Tactical Goggles
Hello
I'm planning to buy an airsoft goggles and I've read some topics on goggles and how should you choose them. But problem is that I didn't find many topics with useful content, people were talking just about specific types of goggles and only thing that I found was rating from S to A. But I found Arena Industries and I think they have really interesting goggles http://www.arenatactical.com/ . First good company that I found was Wiley X, but their goggles start at 50 pounds and goes up to 70. I know that you shouldn't save money on your eye protection but for this money you can buy a cheap rifle.
So Arena Industries doesn't have many goggles in their offer (about 3 different types), but their goggles aren't very expensive and I've seen only good reviews on youtube about their equipment. So question is that "Do you use their goggles?" and if yes "Are they safe enough?". Company says that army and police use their goggles (probably in US), but is it true? That website looks a bit "cheap" for worldwide company with eye protection. So did you ordered anything from them and should I do it through their website or I should pay more and order it on Amazon? Maybe only cause why it looks cheap is because they don't sell anything outside US?
Also here is the link to video about that goggles:

Mos reacted to ImTriggerHappy in Have I been scammed by The Bunker Colchester?
Not necessarily the sale of goods act has one little line that comes in very useful "fit for purpose" it doesn't mention warranty it just states that all goods must be fit for purpose. Thats why if you buy a TV with a years warranty and it breaks down after 18 months you can still get it fixed by the company because you would reasonably expect a tv to last longer than that. If he sold the gun through the onsite shop for that price then you could argue that although second hand you would expect it to be checked and sold as fit for purpose.
Second hand through a store isn't the same as a second hand private sale.
If you can prove that he acted immorally and abused a trusted position to sell faulty goods then you could also go for that. The time is an issue but if you have a record of the gun being repeatedly returned and not sorted properly then it becomes irrelevant.
I wouldn't think it would be easy to win in a small claims court but it is possible.
For the sake of £240 it would be a lot of hassle I would chalk it down to live and learn.
Edit; Gears breaking after 8 months isn't that uncommon to be fair. Airsoft gun failures are more about usage than time.
Just take it into a different tech and pay for the repairs it would be easier.
